I just did it the regular way. First time doing it myself and not someone in the shop doing it for me. I wish I saw this video an hour earlier. Next time will do for sure or just prep some to have. Thanks!

Those long nose pliers are the only thing left from my original tool kit as a first year in 2006. I don't do much electrical work these days but the tools are handy none the less.
love the how to's! I go back and watch your how to tie knots vid every time I need to do rigging, and all I can say is I get a shock everytime I see them long locks
Yep, another awesome video. Thanks to this channel (and a few others) the learning curve for my spearfishing addiction has flattened considerably. Cheers mate!
Instead on using the pliers to seal the end of the melted bead. I use a old metal spoon to keep things rounded on the ends. It helps me to not have to file things down.
Very clean! This is much better than many of the commercially available ones I've seen out there. I personally don't like having anything hard inside my bands, especially in high stretch setups, but this is a great diy design!
@@DanielMann Yep, rollers are what I had in mind in particular. Best to keep everything soft. I may be using your inserts for conventional bands for some customers though 😏
Yooooo beautiful video makes me want to and try my own hand at it. The vibes, wakes my instinct I wanna go, setup a playlist with *Metallica* One and *Delta Parole* Wasted and go off into my own world right this moment.
I really love this method ..## Can you please make a video on how to place these inserts into the band.....PS thank you so much for sharing ..Really great stuff..Your'e Awesome.
Found your DIY stuff great. Took your advice and got a decent warm wetsuit for my son and I, we’re gonna give it a go this Sunday. It would be good to see a video on reading the weather. Here where we are it could be pretty disastrous if you get it wrong.
This is excellent, thanks. My first rubber is starting to look like it's approaching EOL, so I'll be following your videos to create some new ones before I head out again.
Homemade dyneema wishbones are less laborious, lighter and almost as practical as those. Best and easiest imo. Great vid as always though, thanks for sharing!
@@DanielMann yes they do but for the price l just cut off the couple of cm of dy wishbone and place another. I usually carry some spare dyneema on the buoy in case l have to change mid dive. Not ideal with gloves so beware
Love the DIY. I know it's a tough ask currently, but I miss the competition day recap videos. You make it feel like we're there with you on your team, epic. But I'll watch anything between my shoredive hunts. Keep it up brah.
More DIY brother!! You make the best learning content on spearfishing. More please. We have so much to learn!!

I’m sure they won’t be too hard for you to knock up. Got the whip last week so I’ll be coming to terrorise those signal crayfish with you soon enough!
excellent as always. Crisp clear British accent.
I’m from Australia 😂
Yes please! I truly appreciate you helping with the maintenance and prep of spearfishing! Super helpful. Thanks!
Nice and simple video, will definitely be using this bridle insert when my rubbers break next! Would love to see more of these technical gear videos 👍
Cheers Ethan!

So much respect Dan, I really appreciate that you actively push as much knowledge as you can into the spearo community. Good on ya!

Dan the Mann strikes again! 1st class mate, thanks for sharing! Can't begin to imagine whats next...
You are the man i learned more from your videos than any other place thanks
Just finished rigging my new small 75cm Apache with 16mm rubber. Close ups on the knots are a huge help! Big Mahalos Mate!
I always give Daniel Mann's Videos a like. He deserves way more coverage then he gets.
Really good idea. I will have to remember to give it a go next time I'm working on my bands.
The best spearfishing channel on the tube
Too kind 🙌
So interesting. Never thought I would be into spearfishing.

Well done man. You don't see enough DIY stuff.
I've already learned a lot from your DIY videos! Thanks for that - and gladly more of it!
You've got to be a sparky with channelock long nose and marvel pliers. Love your work man, keep it up. Shouts from Sydney

Just brilliant..............I'm onto this. Yet another informative video.
Thanks Orchy, I’m sure you’d gave a few sets of the old stainless ones Herman made around your shed.
I'm gonna try this brilliant method on my omer rubbers too. Thank you nice vid!
I've got to give this a go, thanks for the video 👍
Should be simple after making your own gun 👌
Perfect. Can't find those pre-made cressi ones so made these.
You seem to be the only one who actually teaches this stuff. Well, at least the only English speaking. Thank you!
Save time not be forced using GOOGLE bad translator ~~lol.
More bloopers please. Love the work brother.
There are more bloopers than actual good takes 🤣

The long hair was glorious but very impractical.

Do you want to become his manager? LOL!

Brilliant Daniel, I wish I had this in my day, your postings continue to serve this great activity.
Game changer mate..!!!
Thanks for the info! Tying the bands is the least favorite thing to do. This will make it easy ❤
Another good one Daniel. More diving and tech stuff vids please.
Thats a great idea... Thank you Daniel I look forward to more great DIY from you.

Fair enough, I mostly use conventional style spearguns so it’s not a problem. I can see with a roller though you’d want to have the soft one inside.

More diy bro.. I mostly diy my spearfishing gear.. Thanks, this add to my next diy thing..
Was waiting for the link to your online store. Guess I’ll have to use the info. Such a banger trick.
Ha, I doubt I’d be selling many home made bridle inserts!
Awesome vid - I refer people to your other video about how to put together a speargun rubber all the time. Awesome to have another point of reference.
Thanks Sam!
Good DIY DAniel..Cheers mate!!!
OOOhhhhh the devil finds work for idle hands.. Someones been busy during lockdown. That is a superb hack! Im off to buy some split pins right now...

Good job Dan forever the tinkerer mate!
Always something to tinker with in spearfishing.
I’ve been using a small seal pick to undo my bridle knots

I did explain in the first minute of the video why dyneema inserts aren't as good as these. They bind up after being used on the gun a few times.

Daniel Mann I cant seem to find the plastic clips anywhere everything’s already preassembled 😂 (I’m hopeless) :/
Excellent! Thanks.
Didn't think making rubbers could get any more tedious hahaha! Off to Bunnings I go then...
Cool stuff! Cressi Abellan inserts are very similar too btw.
Similar to the mares and they have a 4-5mm hole in the end, also a stainless ball instead of plastic.
Really cool idea mate, thanks for sharing, would love to see more DIY for sure! Cheers :-)
