Here is another episode of What Everyone Is Wearing in New York!! Telling me that you want me to continue this series really helps since I've been doing them for a while now including pre-covid. I shoot each and every episode over a period of weeks.Never in just one day or just one week and it takes days to then edit each one. Some of you ask why don't I show my outfits? The reason that I don't is because my channel is 99% about my style and the same for my Instagram. I created these episodes to turn the camera onto others for once. It also lets me practice my creative interest in filming plus shining a spot light on others. This is their time, not mine :- ) If you want to see what I am wearing when holding the camera it is all documented on my Instagram @karenbritchick I show my outfits on my feed and on my stories almost daily. You see what I wear when leaving the house or even while out on the streets when I show my reflection in a mirror etc.. It is all on there and always has been : -) This series is about others. I hope that helps and thank you for so much support to keep going!!! Karen x
I appreciate you, Karen. Keep doing what you do. Carry On with Greatness!!!
Please continue! :)
Karen, you and these videos have inspired me so much. You always put a smile on my face. Thank you and keep up the great work!
Karen. I understand how you want to turn the camera around. This is another way of showing your keen creative eye and we get to see through Karen's eyes.
Whatever you notice I turn around and notice. COOL!
Please Karen do not stop and thank you very much for doing it...❤
I NEVER WANT THIS SERISE TO END
although Karen I do like your home updates and improvements//
Here here!!!
Agreed. It the best series on youtube.
It needs to become a Netflix series
I know right ⁉️
My heart skipped a beat when I saw this pop up. I can’t tell you how much I love these videos. They are little pieces of art.
I agree.
My heart skipped, too
Yessss I totally agree ❤️😊
agree..absolutely..so well made
TOTALLY NYC AT ITS BEST 💘
What I love is that newyorkers seem to just wear cool stuff they like and find unique. Where I live almost everyone wears the "trends" no one is original..
That sounds like where I am south of Australia ahahaha.........
I agree - that’s exactly what I was thinking while the tailor/pattern maker was talking. People who made their own pieces also describe them in such a genuine way, not a self-promo attitude.
Same. Anyone who dresses different seems to get an 'oddball' status. Not so much anymore, but in a town of 2500 if you stand out, YOU STAND OUT. Which is a bit tragic as I love fashion and style. 🐐
Y’all should watch the video “the unsettling cult like operation of that fashion industry” here on RUclips !! It goes into depth on how and why fashion got so boring
Karen crying into her $10,000 Hermes handbag when she found out the guy bought his Hermes bag at a Salvation Army charity store. 😂
You know what I love most about these videos?!~How special and fabulous you make them feel! ❤️ Lisa
Yes, 100% agree!
I was thinking the same thing. You spread joy
🎯
I agree!
Absolutely! So well said. 👌
Karen, why don’t you show us what you are wearing? Everyone always complement you. and I always curious about what you were wearing since you dress so well.
Maybe because she probably films over quite a few days so her outfit wiuld naturally be changing?
I think she just wants this series to be focused on others
She gives an explaination in the pinned comment section above (very 1st comment).
I also think she just wants this series to be focused on others
yes she said her entire channel is about her. she wants to only focus on others. her answer is pinned at the top
Love the guy who was like “FABRICSSSS”
came to here to say the same. "Nice. Warm. Faaabricssssss".
Love the man with the green coat with the cutouts. I know he was cold but he was really styling.
I agree!😁🌞
So glad she captured the image of him walking away in motion! Stunning visual!!
Omg that coat was everything!! 😍
His styling was amazing!
He looked stylish yet formal it was an amazing combo
Anita seems lovely. Luv the cigarette brooch.
I agree I want to be her friend!
I can imagine that they become friends.
Anybody know if she has instagram or something? Her style is amazing
Right? who would have thought that was a preserved cig, and Paris no less...
@@doingitbig8427 In the video she says that she does not do social media.
The guy in the (see through cut out )green coat had his own dance of fluidity going on as he pranced away...he was in the flight of Fashion!!
The movement was SPECTACULAR👍👍👍👍👍👍
I dream about me walking 🚶♀️ in New York and you stoping me to ask me where did I get that!!!!!!!! I enjoy like nothing else your channel, specials this series!!
How funny!! I do too. I talk to Karen (myself) as I list off my coat, sunglasses, my shoes etc🤣
Me too!!!!😅😅😅♥️♥️
SAAAAAME
This is my favorite show on any network or platform hands down. The humanity is as beautiful as the clothes. Thank you, Karen.
I wouldn’t says it’s humanity. It’s just bougie fashion people lol
@@ririschannelx they're still human beings. 🙄
@@pagethreemodel of course they are, it’s just not that much of a variety
I just love how you cherish the individual artist personality in fashion. The individual may wear brands. But the brands don't wear them. Their aura/look transcends the labels.
Everybody, but especially that man in the see-through green coat walking slow motion lifted my heart and left me with such joy. Spectacular work, all of you
He looked amazing!
100%
Totally! Whoaaa moment and he looks like a video game character that you'd choose every time!!
Everyone is so happy, I think we have missed socialising from COVID. It’s heart warming to see. Love this series Karen, not just the outfits and the clothes, but the interactions with people. Love from one of your few male Scottish fans ✌️
So new Yorkers just casually walk around in runway and designer fits. I'm jealous. I can't wear a sequin skirt in these NC streets without receiving a side look or two. Everybody is so dressed down here its ridiculous.
Who cares what people think. They are staring because they wish they were as fab as you. Be different, be yourself!!
@Joy Lastname: I’m gobsmacked too by these young people wearing all the new designer things. Do they all have trust funds or very very well paid jobs in NYC?
Hahaha.....I laugh because in these AZ streets the only thing people are wearing is shorts or sweats completely depending on the weather......I always get a side-eye when wearing “fashion”
I think if youre gonna wear something that makes people stare, you gotta OWN IT... and sometimes people are looking at you like you look at others, meaning, they wish they could wear it too!
@@frederickleo2386 - Truth. It's about confidence and daring to be different.
I wanna go out for drinks with the 2 guys in beige coats #Birkin #Alpaca

“I thought you were married to a Polish person.” Hahaha, Anita was too cute. Lorenzo and Phillip- so much positive energy!
Also-How are you not a Vogue contributor. I could just imagine this on a magazine’s RUclips channel. Are they asleep or something?
I love Anita! I think she'd be great to have afternoon cocktails with.
I met Anita 5-10 years ago-she’s an amazing children’s books illustrator, has an unforgettable voice, and is so jovial and nice! Has been at least 5 years since I saw her, so nice to see her alive and well, spreading her fashion :)
Good Point! You made my Friday night 😍💚. Another Great Fashion Commentary.
I love Anita as well. She seems like a beautiful and honest person. I hope you find more people like her for your series.
@dancing pineapple it was choy bok or something like that. She said it’s bok choy backwards 😊
Karen, as if you don't hear this enough - your channel and this series specifically is so inspiring! Please don't ever stop creating content. I have discovered countless of indie brands/designers through people mentioning them in the videos and so much style inspo for my own wardrobe. Sometimes I wonder why Vogue hasn't hired you or something and given you a whole production crew & big budget but then I remember that might take away from the charm of these videos and that you manage to make a whole quality fashion series on your own. You're brilliant.
I totally agree! Thank you, Karen.
We don’t need another Vogue....we need KBC ...for realz !!
The guy in the army green cut out coat owned it💚
Seriously, this series needs to be submitted to some type of cinematic contest or rep it something! It’s so well done!
I've been saying the same thing!
Not only are the people interesting but your editing is awesome.
The woman with the Chanel bag and red animal print scarf looks like Iman the model!
I was thinking that to Paula, when she was talking about her beautiful head scarf! She looked just like Iman even with the mask covering her mouth! I think it was the way she presented herself through the video about what she was wearing and fashion.
I know you meant well however comments like these, although nice, are somewhat offensive, but mostly dangerous. Because they can become problematic. How so? Nobody couldn't even see her face (17:25)? Although we heard and saw her name and maybe something about her fashion sense piqued a memory of Iman for you but other than that, no clear visual evidence. These type of assumptions is what's dangerous in NYC and other areas in regards to how policing goes wrong in assuming just because someone is "black" they're all going to look, dress and behave alike. This always attributes to mistaken identity resulting in slander, wrongful imprisonment and typically brutality or death. We're often grouped instead of individually assessed. Because this woman didn't appear to strike the resemblance of Iman whatsoever. Not even audibly. As a WOC and veracious social advocate for children, animals and POC, I hope you can try to understand, be mindful or for some others, relate to the facts I'm making. Sending peace 🕊, awareness💡, positivity 🧠, good health and safety your way! ♥️
@@carmeltonedbarbie1747 No, not really. I can say that someone looks like Julia Roberts, too, and not intend it's because she's Caucasian. I could see a bit of her face but also her voice and her poise reminded me of Iman specifically, not "all other Black women". I understand your point and the sensitivity behind it, but I'm not like some people and I hope my intent was clear. Thanks for understanding.
@@JRTProds28 You nor anyone else could not see her face except her eyes! (17:25) And, she had large colored sunshades on. No way, shape or form can anyone positively say this woman looks like Iman. You can't even recollect and are truly unaware what Iman's voice sounds like. She's rarely spoken publicly and hasn't been in the public eye in decades and anyone at your age isn't checking for Iman. You never only spoke of her voice until AFTER I mentioned it. Also, Julia Roberts isn't Caucasian, she's white. And you just goofed up again, by the thought of even asking me "for understanding" because you believe you can claim another white person can look like Julia Roberts. I'm sorry, please tell us, how are white women racially oppressed? How many white women and neighborhoods are radically oppressed by corruption and police brutality and shootings? How many white people are victims of the penal system based upon false identity charges? Please provide the credible source and statistics in contrast. And the very fact that you mentioned "I can kind of see her face..." doesn't give poor eyesight and perception credibility. I'm almost certain if you, your spouse, children or grandchildren were accosted and killed by the police and it turned out it was a mistaken identity and their public response to YOU was "I could kind of see her face...so I hope you understand...." lady you would lose your sh*t! Many white women would rather be wrong that rightfully corrected by a WOC. I get it. You're an old and somewhat uncultured white woman. One who wouldn't admit and still don't believe you have any problems about race as long we stay in our place and not ask of you to modify your behavior, speech and perception towards us. Your response couldn't be anymore close to: all lives matter. My interpretation: All Lies Matter (regarding the hindrance, slander, oppression, racism and justice of black/brown people). Don't ever thank someone and ask them to accept an disingenuous apology. Either you admonish sensitivity or you don't. Change has no age. Sending continued light your 🧠way.
@@carmeltonedbarbie1747 No harm was intended to you or anyone but I hear you and appreciate you. Sending you much love and light...
Did cigarette lady say "We all walk around looking like twats?"-Cant stop laffin..😆
If the people from the video are reading this comment!,
You are looking amazing!!!! You are all so kind and you talk so sweet with Karen! Every one of you is great!
Well, ever since Bill Cunningham (God bless him!) passed away, I have been following NYC Street Style via you! His little videos for the NY Times were iconic.
omg they so were!! Now I want to go back and watch them. I miss Bill.
I think a cameo for you in the new Sex in the City is warranted......
that would be epic
YES
Yes I agree, Karen.
Essential.
I love how you look at the ordinary and make it special; bikes along a street, framework of a bridge, a painted wall .... and, of course, the fashions!
Nothing in this vast world is ordinary, we just take it for granted, right? Karen sees everything through an artist eye, so it is fresh
Anita, what an interesting lady doesn't do social media. She strikes me as one if those people that if your lucky enough to spend time with her she would have some great stories to tell, I love her style and long hair. Rock the long hair Anita. I don't support the idea that once your of a certain age your hair should be short. The guys in Camel fabulous. I'm wearing blue and white strip today. Love them.
OMG The "No more puffer jackets guys" are amazing
LOVED THEM!!!
FABRICS!
You really found all the main characters in the city that day
This is such a wholesome and positive series😊
I love that you showcase such diverse aesthetic.
"Hi, I'm Rachel"
*looks like a Phoebe*
They need to make a movie about Anita, you can tell that woman has some stories, and she's such a presence!
She has true style. So many of the people she features are trying too hard, wearing designer labels and are rather gauche.
Amen !
@@joniheisenberg6691
Whatever could you mean by "trying too hard"? These are regular people wearing items from their own wardrobes, in the way & style they deem fit & going about their day. They're not performing for an audition. If you can't find it within yourself to appreciate them in/for anything, then just keep it moving ma'am. Don't disrespect them.
@@roseaduke8835 I have the right to my opinion. Style is effortless. If you don’t understand the meaning of that, you can “ just keep it moving.”
@@joniheisenberg6691 E
Everybody has the right to their opinion BUT it is insensitive & immature to express them irresponsibly, especially in an undeservedly spiteful manner.
Don't know how long you've been on this channel or what you know about style BUT effortless style is an illusion! In actuality, a degree of effort is put into it & that's what this particular series is all about; appreciating those who've invested some effort into their style & carry it with their own unique flair. Looks like you're the one lacking in understanding on these basic things.
Anyways, they were gracious enough to let us/Karen into their space, so let's be classy in return & not berate them for that, shall we madam?
Well now i feel like buying 20 new coats 😆
A cup of coffee, bagel with a smear and watching Karen's "What everyone is wearing". Best way to start a Saturday morning!.
I wish everyone in the world dressed for themselves like these people in the video!! My city is so drab and non fashion inspirational in comparison. Thank you Karen for allowing us to have a glimpse at NYC street style in this age of non-travel
I love people from New York their spirit is life giving. Regardless of the pandemic, they are so alive and not letting anything get them down. They put a smile on my face.
Inspiration overload everytime I see these. I'm going to dress to the max for the weekly lockdown trip to the supermarket tomorrow.
But remember to look effortless!
The guy with the green jacket 3:06 WON the episode. His look SHINE😊
Omg those guys found Hermès at Salvation Army 😱
I am still speechless from that. I wonder who donated it and what he paid?
It's a replica. The close up shows several mistakes. Would be insane to find Hermés at Salvation Army though 😭

THAT PRADA COAT THO! 😍
If these episodes are not a love letter to New York and New Yorkers, I don't know what is. New York, as a whole, has a very special meaning to me. My bed time stories when I was a kid were my mom's memories from the time she lived in the city. Then, I developed my own memories in my frequent visits. I spoiled myself by going twice a year because the last time I visited was November 2019, so these videos are my life line to New York. Please, keep 'em coming. I BEG of you
These videos increase my faith in humanity--beautiful people with beautiful clothes.
Love how individual everything is. So different than where I am.
That alpaca coat and that cashmere coat....loved the neutrals...
Anita might have polish ruths 😀 love the way you can appreciate style of all age groups🥰
That coat though. I love it.
I love how everyone is so out there with their own unique style everyone is wearing something different
Woke up for a moment at 2am...checked time, then saw this was up...stop the clocks, drop everything, crank up iPad, watch! Obsessed.
I don’t think I’ve EVER seen such unique, eclectic, fun styling! I’m realizing social media caters to a very specific style when there’s so many ways to express oneself. Love this
20 years from now , we will look back at this video and think this is such a 2020s video , the music , the fashion, the slow motion editing , everything is beautiful 🖤🖤🖤
Karen, we want your videos like 24/7 365!!!
The men continue to “kill” it!!! Assumptions about Karen: married to polish. Hahaha very cute
" Britchik" it could be Polish 😀
I love that Anita. She’s so warm.
I really would love to see what the every day New Yorker is wearing.
Me too
These are everyday New Yorkers. They are regular people. They just have unique style, which is common in NYC. I see ppl like this all over NYC all the time!
anita has my whole heart.
I love to see humor in fashion and not taking yourself too serious. In my opinion Anita really resembles that through her sigaret broche. It makes you think and puts a smile on your face. I really like that!
Thanks Karen Brytczyk!!
Nice to see Anita again, and it's always great to see a good range of ages.
I have to tell you I love your videos there is a girl trying to copy a what people are wearing in NYC your videos are way better and it’s the way you ask these people.😊
Perfection! I get sad when these videos come to an end.
Yay! Its Friday night with Karen's What Everyone is wearing in New York!
I love these episodes. It shows that you can wear what you want as long as you feel comfortable in it.
Love the Anita-lady!🌟💕
Me too!
Thank you Karen for such wonderful series. Although you are to young you should have seen NYC in the 70’s. You would have gone crazy running after all the "hip" people. There was color everywhere, truly a magical time!!!
This One was Great ..Everybody was so unique.. The two guys with the White & Camel Coat...Boss. Continue on..Love it. THANK YOU.
the streets of new york never cease to amaze me!!!
Please never stop. This fills me with creativity and inspiration every time.
Hands down, one of my favourite YT channels! Thank you, Karen!
These videos give me life! I'm such a big fan of street fashion and spotting new & interesting looks! I'm from a small town so I didn't see a lot of fashionable looks in real life when I was growing up & felt like an outcast when I was experimenting with my kind of style. One of the best things about day trips to bigger cities for me always used to be that I've never felt over- or underdressed walking around and all the inspiration you were able to catch on the streets :) I still remember the first time I saw a young woman pairing a fancy skirt with vintage sneakers vividly! It was SOOO COOL to me!
New York looks like it is starting to thaw out and come alive. Let's hope with the vaccine things will just continue to improve. One thing I know for sure, our resilience has been tested and I think we are all stronger for it. Great to see people showing their personality and brightening up the landscape through fashion as wearable art.
I love NYC and have every confidence that the City will be back and even better than before!
Holy Holey Coat!!! That guy was amazing!! Second fave was the Burberry reversible with the black stripe. Classic with an attitude!!
Karen... I really think Netflix should have a close look at these videos..with a view to showing them... they are just awesome... so educational, creative, intelligent artistic etc etc.. and your beautiful personality shines through..you bring out the best in all you meet!! It’s just fab. Orla..from Ireland!!
Please never stop this series!
Love The Girl In the Grey Coat🌻 Did She Say She Was wearing Vans🌻 She Looked Aaamazing🍀 Thanks Karin🧡🧡🧡🧡
I loved her outfit also. I searched for her sneakers online and they are the Vans x Taka Hayashi DIY shoes. I am definitely going to get them 👌🏽
The guy with the cut out coat and zippered mask looks SO FLYYYYYYY! He is FABULOUS!
Hiya Karen....this episode was just pure ART inside and out...so many moments too many to mention...
Even the dog in the green doggy suit and the guy jumping his skateboard...

Whenever I watch these episodes, I am encouraged to wear what makes me happy, and worry less what other people may think. Thanks
Please continue these videos forever! Love to see people express their personalities through fashion. I also love how you pull the exterior of the buildings of the city with the fashion
Keep doing this, normally I’m not into fashion brands but I loved that you interviewed everyone their personality match the outfits.
