I got goosebumps watching the intro. As a big curvy Brazilian Japanese woman I could never fit in. This intro shows how unique and beautiful we can be by being ourselves. Love this series. Thank you Karen 🌸
@@carmengrauwels too Japanese in Brazil, too Brazilian in Japan. Always different from everyone. When you are young you just want to be like everyone else. Not anymore :)
For me, these are the gold standard of ‘what everyone’s wearing’ videos. Creative visuals, great soundtracks, great people - and a unique take on the city - whichever city it is.
I love this series, it's so interesting to see real personal style rather than editorial campaign. Love your sweetness when you talk about their outfits!!
I got teary eyed from that intro. I'm a native New Yorker and this just feels like a love letter to New Yorkers. You get us! You really get us. And the world gets to see the individuality and creativity that exists there in the gritty, unapologetic environment. Please don't stop making these.
The difference with your post and others, including Vogue’s, is that you give us a glimpse of the actual people behind the clothes. It feels authentic, and soulful, and just ❤.
Hahahaha...cracked me up when you went silent when the woman in the pink Gucci overcoat said her husband got her the coat and she didn't pick it out. That would be my reaction also. Thanks Karen for the chuckle. I needed that 💜💙💚💛🧡
Same! I’m a huge fan of both the color green & tone-on-tone dressing or tonal dressing. I always thought it was complicated but I see so many fashionable folks doing their own interpretations and looking amazing & quite stylish. You learn so much here & through street fashion & content creators like Karen.☺️
Karen, I've been watching your series since it's inception. Please don't stop! It's so inspiring 💚! It also gives us a more intimate understanding of the lens through which you view style, which is great in establishing what your channel is about!
Karen, thank you for these episodes. When I first saw your videos filming people's fashion stylings on the streets of New York, I really felt that in your own unique way, you're carrying on the work of Bill Cunningham, who sadly passed on. When he left us, he had left such a void as at that point no one came near having his editing eye or his intense connection with fashion and people. When I came upon your work it soothed my heart that another wonderful artist was doing the important work of filming all the fun, depth, and deep personal connections of fashion, style, the city, and its people. Please continue, you are such a shining star!
I miss Bill. I've had the pleasure of speaking to him a couple of times and being shot by him too what an honor. An incredible being and I was highly aware of how precious and rare he is whilst with him. I miss him terribly.
@@KarenBritChick Thank you for sharing about Bill. And of course he would have photographed you, I never met him but adored his bright spirit that came bounding through his photographs and quotes. So glad you two connected. much love, T
This series is so inspiring and gives me a different perspective on how I can wear clothes in my own closet or where to find things I have been searching for. Thank you, Karen!
Your channel means a lot to me. My health is bad and I cannot live like I used to. Thanks for posting and the good vibes you share. My fave thing you post is the "WEIW" I have been following a few years now. I really look fwd to these xxx

I made some very happy noises when I saw the video appear in my subscriptions! I always look forward to these, never watch them on my phone but instead make time to watch on my laptop with a nice glass of wine or cup of tea. The way you do it is so unique, I hope that you keep making these for years to come. Thank you Karen 🤗
Hi KBC Once again you made my day . And while you did that - I thought about your series and how you uplift those you stop . They are so engaged with you - you bring out the shine in people. Truly gifted you are. This series is the best. You light up New York and bring the light to all of us in the details . A wall, a sign, a poster ....... the people. Bravo!
I just have to say if everything on RUclips this has to be my favorite… I freaking love this series thank you so much for creating this it is soooo cool 😎
I can’t express how much I look forward to these! I set time aside to watch them. I got emotional at the recap because this is about so much and it’s the creativity of people and your appreciation for the individual and their expression.
I feel like Karen taps into the unique incredible beauty of creativity and diversity of style that NYC showcases that transcends language and somehow brings us together from all across the globe. It's like a historical showcase for us to treasure and remember that we are beautiful, we have over come and we are stronger together than apart.
What’s so interesting is out of thousands and Millions of people no one is the same. The pink Gucci coat reminds me when I was a child we wore coats that looked like that for Easter Sunday going to church. And when I was in High School we would go to the second hand store a vintage store and get these big 1950s and 60s black and Brown fur coat that were in very good condition for cheap . And the men wore platform shoes in the 70s WOW brings back memories 😊
Moooooore! I LOVE your What Everyone Is Wearing In New York! Wish you could do them weekly. Reminds me of Bill Cunningham's gig. Love your snippets of New York too, adds so much flavor. Delicious!!

I love this series! I really needed this today, I’ve been in a bit of a rut and feeling like the world is becoming a bit of a homogenous goop. I feel so inspired to see people embracing individuality and expressing themselves.
The 2022 recap was EVERYTHING! The five flame 🔥 award for me goes to the couple with the LV PAINT CAN BAGS!!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 runner ups: the Asian gentleman with the double framed glasses and the distressed LV bag , baldhurr, the lady with the red checkered coats SUNGLASSES 🔥! The lady with the long blond hair in Milan (you could see the money!) All 🔥!!!!
The intro retrospection was 🔥. I love these episodes and everyone’s fearlessness in their delivery of style. NY is a complete melting pot with influences from all over the globe. I remember buying a quilted dusty rose knee length coat from a boutique called Papillion which was in WT one 25 years ago for winter which got me stopped often. It brightened up most gloomy days💕😎. Since, I have tried every 5 years to add a different bright color to winter wear. Great video, nostalgic 🫶🏼. Karen, please continue. You are the only one in this lane👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
These videos are art. We get to see the world through your eyes - color, textures, shape. Many of the people you talk to are a bit nervous at first, but through your warmth, curiosity, and love of fashion they open up and a connection is made. When we tell each other our stories it's a reminder we're all connected and in this together.
