Hey Karen can I suggest something?
So whenever people say “oh I love what you’re wearing!”
I truly want to see what you’re rocking that day too, just like a quick OOTD thing would be such a fun addition:) love you
I'm sure it takes her more than one day to film, so the OOTD wouldn't be the same for each person. But does that matter? Maybe not.
Agreed!
I’m glad I’m not the only one!!
She's mentioned earlier that when she does these series she wants to focus on the people she meets, but if you go to her ig she posts what she's wearing in these videos. Hope that helps!
@@kiwi4782 - thank you!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🇦🇺🐨
i love how people in nyc are walking around without fearing judgement like idk... theres so much freedom compared to my city. Loved this
Exactly this. Let's collectively try to be more free! X
lol yeah you can literally wear anything. no one cares
You can always tell who is actually from New York versus people from outside. People from other parts of the world tend to stare and judge a lot. True New Yorkers mind their own business.
@@lovely.ameeeee485 most of the people on here aren’t born and raised New Yorkers. I can tell I used to live in Jersey and spent a lot of time in ny
@@ladydeanna3775 mmm, I guess it’s a new immigrant vs people who have been here for a while thing then.
I'm so in love with this series. I enjoy seeing everyone's individual style and creativity. It's like living art ...I really appreciate all of these looks.
I think you should give credit to purple palace since she made this series popular with her 2 million views. Just saying
Karen perfected it
me too. i love everything about this. karen rocks🎉🎉
@@monique4117 but can Purple Palace take the credit for street style vlogging? Street style blogs have been around since the internet and with the rise of RUclips in the last decade it's a natural extension.
I think the comparison does Purple Palace a disservice since her channel is as different from Karen's as Paris is to NYC.
I am glad you mentioned her though because I am now a subscriber.
It is just my feeling that putting two women who champion self acceptance and ask viewers to embrace their own uniqueness, putting those women in competition with each other is against the core themes and values of both channels.
I wish every success to both of these women who are so talented in sharing their little corner of the world with us.
I hope you are having a great day Monique!
You've said it best. 😁
Please Karen, never ever stop making this
The ONLY youtube video where i stop everything and watch from a to z and watch them multiple times, LOVE from Amsterdam 🧡🧡
I came to say the same! From N.Y.
Mee too!
I absolutely loved episode 22 you’re incredible at what you do keep on keeping on Karen
Agreed!
Same here !! 😊
successful people don't become that way overnight .most people you see as a glance-wealth, a great career, purpose-is the result of hard work and hustle over time. I pray that anyone who reads this will be successful in life..
@Dwayne Job that's amazing recommendation thanks for that🙏 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
He is obviously the best, I invested $3,000 and i made profit of $28,000 just in 15 days.
His success story is everywhere
A friend that I referred to him just received $7050 profit after 10 days of investing...I became jealous... Lol
My first experience gave me the assurance that has made me to invest without fear of loosing.
Those scammers, they promise y0u to make up to $50000 profit within the space of 7days with just $500 to invest and end up not even refunding your capital but Mr Pierre is a man of integrity
This series inspires me to be myself. I tend to be self conscious or toned down, living in a city where not many dress so freely or artistically. I watch an episode of yours while getting dressed, and I feel like I can wear anything that truly expresses who I am. Thanks Karen
Same! I guess that's one if the reasons people move to New York - to express who they are without self-consciousness. I got that feeling when I first went there, when I was 18 - that I could express myself/dress however I wanted, a feeling that doesnt always translate in my everyday life here in Ireland. Gonna try harder though!
This series seriously helps my depression. For real. Ive been having pretty hard time recently and this is just amazing. So much positivity, great calming vibes. Thank you, girl 💞✨
It's fun watching some of Karen's earlier videos from this series over again. They can be very therapeutic to me as well. I sometimes see things the second time that I somehow missed. I wish you the best with dealing with and hopefully overcoming your depression. It can be difficult but don't give up. ❤💪🏾❤
Me too.... this series lifts my spirit every time!
I love watching all of these videos... the clothes, the people , the city... it makes me feel so happy. Also I can’t believe I didn’t know about Lynn .., wow! She is cool !
These are my words. Writer: thank u. I want to b brave . Reckless thru fashion. How I adored this video. Thank u.
Try to focus on postive things pls feel better
The single best thing that I love about NYC is how diversity of self-expression is celebrated and embraced by the bold and the beautiful.
Something that has only just occurred to me about these episodes... You don't just show what the people in New York are wearing; you show what New York itself is wearing, in the snapshots of the art, the graffiti, the shots of people just walking... You capture the city in a way that shows how much you love it. I think that love of the city is as much part of your channel and your style as your clothes are (and the clothing of the people you talk to in these episodes).
Thank you for continuing to make this series, there is something just so positive and uplifting about it that I think we all need.
Absolutely love this series there’s only one problem… what are you wearing ?? Please let us see your outfit as well 😂🍀 love this fantastic ❤️
That’s a great idea!
Yes. She got so many compliments as well and I kept wondering what she had on
We have tried to employ her to reveal what she is wearing at the time but her response is that this is a compilation of different outings and she want the focus to be on the NY's street style because she show and cover her outfits on IG and RUclips videos. So sometime but very rare you might catch a glimpse of a reflection in a store window or someone glasses but that all you going to get. Tee Hee
@@deniseoates7147 🕵🏼♀️😉
@@deniseoates7147 hi Denise everytime I watch them I think what the hell is Karen wearing 😂😂
"Was it affordable?" "Yeah it was, I think it was only 100USD"... and me thinking for months if I should get that 35EUR dress from Zara because it's an investment... hahahah. Ha :(
I feel you 😅
Karen, I love how you are not a label snob and included a woman who was wearing a dress from Target. Thank you that you show that you can be fashionable at any price point.
Pockets are life and HANDBAGS ARE LIFELINE😊
It's the people for me. Those among us who appreciate individuality in expression through fashion and take courage to wear it well! Ty karen! 🍃💐🙋
The woman in the Zimmerman dress and the Chloe bag looked fabulous.
Ok, the fact that an A New Day dress from Target was featured makes me feel like I have a chance at being in one of these videos 😂 Also, love seeing how excited everyone is over pockets!!
We need pockets!!!!!
I have that dress! I was so shocked to see something I own on this great series!
Definitely, if you find something cool it doesn't matter where you buy it.
The pockets are a must. I just feel cool and relaxed when I store my hands in my pockets.
Honestly, this is my number ONE favorite You Tube series!!! I absolutely LOVE it! Please don’t ever stop!
"When you express through your clothes you don't need to talk"
thank you karen just ✨
Well that’s half of it❤️
Yes!!! We love "Where did you get that!"
Oh my! I didn’t expect to see Lynn Yaeger. Really refreshing to see her on her casual day 🤍 I highly adore this series
So glad u uploaded all these fires in Greece I needed somthi g I love to get my mind off this horric news here. I love you views and attitude towards colors style and these fun videos make me sometimes get up and put outfits together and redo my wardrobe. I grew up in NY and I love seeing new yorkers.. They are the coolest.. Keep up the good work.
That Zimmerman dress was just breathtaking!!!
I ran into that mom and daughter that same day, I had on the same dress that day mine was a different color and white puma we gave each other’s a complement on our fashion sense.
These videos are my favorites of yours. They not only show the individual style choices, but they also show your artistic ability! Plz keep it up.
Goddess Karenbritchick reporting on the art of self-expression. Thank you Karen! Always enjoy your street-style videos.
I Love the way capture people in their authentic individual style ❤️
I like the black girl in a light green top the most - she is so pretty, unusual, and "carelessly" stylish.
"Carelessly stylish" i love that! I think in a way thats what everyone aims to be
Save The Queen is a gorgeous brand and you can still find their pieces at Century 21! Loved her re-working of that dress!
I thought century 21 closed. Thanks for update.
They are closed but I think their coming back sometime end of year or early next year.
Karen, all of your episodes are just wonderful. The way you capture the architecture of New York is breathtaking... Congratulations on a job well done!!! 👏
I (like so many others) so dearly miss Bill Cunningham's weekly New York snapshots in the NYT and this is the only thing that seems to re-capture some of that magic. Thank you so much for continuing to do this.
Hi Karen - Soooo it's funny that everyone here has a similar comment "Don't Stop". It occurred to me at the end of the video and it may be the music that inspired the thought but it seems that the spirit of the person is also evident when you do these vids. Yes- Love them all -always ( the vids) . It's not just about the people on the street but it is your eye -in architecture , color and your love of it all.
I love this series and every time I watch I think of Bill Cunningham 💙
FYI That was Mickey Boardman with Lynne Yaeger. You'll have to look him up.
When Karen stops and talks to people like the incredibly stylish first woman and they elude to having an amazing collection at home, I just long for them to invite her round so we can have a lookyloo at their stash! 😁❤️
Love this series so much! Thank you Karen! I have been so inspired by NYC street style all the way up here in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Keep up the great work. Your channel is pure magic!
Karen is keeping the spirit of Bill Cunningham alive. 💖
This is my monthly highlight and mini holiday trip. Love to walk with you through the streets of NY and see cool, unique people and NYs architecture as well! Thanks for this great escape and inspiration especially during covid and not being able to travel like before 2020. Sending you love from Germany🧡
I adore seeing the individuality, creativity, humor and beauty everyone brings to their looks.
Love these videos! Since I don’t live there anymore this series is my visit back home and reminds me to keep my creative New Yorker spirit wherever I live!
Same here. This is my monthly trip to NYC I get to take. Thanks Karen from TX.
Same here!!! Much love from Virginia
That jade ring was everything. Simple and so perfect.
I met Riley in Paris, France. Such a fashion icon. Definitely thrilled he’s part of this series. Greetings from France 🇫🇷
I believe this film series should win an award.
no one does street style like you do karen, bravo
Pockets are life!!! And the Vivienne Westwood necklace........to die for.
j'adore tes vidéos, j'adore ton style, j'adore ta créativité, j'adore ta sympathie
et je viens de m'inscrire à ta new's letter !!! BRAVO et MERCI Karen !!! :-))
I understood everything that you wrote and now know that my high school French is way better than I thought! 😳 Merci!
@@vcp365 BRAVO Dizzy !!! ça me fait plaisir que tu aies le courage de comprendre ce que j'ai voulu écrire !!!! :-))
So inspiring to see people’s styles expressed in such unique ways! New Yorkers aren’t afraid to stand out! Here in Minnesota most people dress according to the trends or the winter haha, very rare to see people making up their own style here.
Peace Karen,
Again, Thank You For Letting Me Take Your Photo And Including Me In This Series
Looks Like I Have Some Catching Up To Do ✨✌🏾
-Jelani
LOve this series... it's like a little trip to New York (when one cannot travel yet). Also thank you so much for putting more body diversity on show. It's so important and so rare on social media. Thank you
Karen this series is a video representation of modern society through fashion, art, even music. It is a real time sociology for me and I'm sure many others, to see a part of the world through a different lens. If you enjoy it, that would be reason enough to do it IMHO, but if you want to know what a viewer thinks, then please continue because this series is also a way for us to connect to others from wherever we are around the world.
I enjoyed every bit of it.The clothes the faces the moods the crossroads, the wall arts the billboards. They all just fuse together to create the gorgeous city thoroughfare
What I really love about your format is that you really include everyone no matter their style, age and body. As a german, when I watch this format from berlin e.g. it seems that everyone has a similar style and is mostly young. And even if my own style is similar to that, I love to see that fashion comes in all styles and shapes and that is whatˋs inspiring to me.
7 mins her "everything sucks" shirt is badass her style is so great similar to the 90's I like how you dont just show fashion models but real people who have their own style it is super validating tak
True self expression to the max watch the peoples faces light up when they tell you where they got their outfits. What a wonderful way to connect to other people. You are truly gifted Karen. Thank you for all your hard work you do on these videos. And best of luck on your collection 💃🤗
Just the first woman was so inspiring to make the effort again...! And your take on yellows and greens for the autumn
I’m so inspired! The gathered waistlines. The half braids, so pretty. The fabric cut-outs and fullness. The platinum hair glowing. It’s just perfect
My very favorite series on YT--you are so right--self expression and the courage to be you. A great reminder for all of us. Thank you Karen.
Love, love it! Fashion, like music transcends words!🥰
Karen you make people feel good. I like that.
I’ve been loving black this summer too ... I’m usually the loud dresser so it’s nice to just throw a monochrome black outfit on
Don’t stop! I love seeing what people are wearing on the streets. People watching from my chair. Cheers.
LYNN "hands down" is the CENTERPIECE of this video---- She is the epitome of AGELESS FASHION---"GO ON WITH YOUR BAD SELF SISTA"!!!!
Please continue this series, I lived in New York for 45 or so years and miss it terribly, you are my true New York fix, you seem to be in the parts of the city which represent my experience of home , New York... I love your eye, taste & joie de vivre!
I love LOVE this series! Is just not only about fashion, is about art, how you see the world tru your eyes, since i discovered you channel i've never missed one video, also you have such a personality and passion ♥️ . Love from Guadalajara, México.
*YES!! A MAN WHO CAN PULL OFF PEARLS* I just love how you stop people and they are willing to share their style with you. Thank you for doing these episodes. :)
Terrific video, Karen! Loved seeing the iconic Lynn Yaeger. Glad to hear she’s still working on things in the fashion industry. So many lovely folks & such uniqueness in style this episode. Really like the way you’re now shooting the closing of each epi with lovely orchestral background music & voiceover.
Love watching these video's. Was I the only one that wanted to see the outfit of the other woman? The two ladies with the same purse. Her outfit looked amazing too!
I loveddd the lady with the Mexican bag. Proud Mexican ✨🙌🏼
Karen this video made me miss New York. I've lived in New York for over Sixty years and just moved. Seeing you talk to all these amazing people who all dress so unique made me homesick. I love these kind of videos.
Love you🥰😍🤩🥰
Loveee your series😍
The bald guy with long brown clothes and grey backpack, i believe is a buddhist monk 🥰🙏🏻
They wear the exact color everyday🙏🏻❤
love the woman in all beige with the blue tortoise glasses and cobalt bag
I think that during COVID people became much more personal and flamboyant in their own style. New York is so fun right now if you love truly creative fashion! Every one is putting on the ritz!
Sounds wonderful. Can't wait to get back there someday (soon!)
Pearls and a ribbed white tank -- what a creative, fantastic combo!
I can’t believe you caught Lynn Yaeger!! She’s an editor at Vogue
I love this series because it is about everything I love most - NY, kindness, fashion, fun, and yes, even sometimes people!
This episode’s title should be “It’s Got Pockets” ☺️
The monks yellow and gray is so autumnal
I love how no one actually conforms to fashion trends in this video.. they all make the clothes work for their bodies. Many are braver than I would be with flaunting their silhouettes and choices but if you can’t do it in NYC, where can you do it?
The thought of wearing designer names just on a random day is foreign to me... I’d wear it for an evening out or special occasion but this is a reminder to celebrate the mundane normal day by jazzing it up.
Please never stop posting these videos Karen. They transcend fashion. You give us a mini social documentary each time where we see an urban environment, architecture, weather, people of all genders, races and sizes, personalities, choices and the interactions are just lovely.
Watching this series is truly one of life’s pleasures 🌸💕
I believe the man at 7:21 of the video is a monk, and that mustard is The colour for a buddhist monk robe :) just wanted to share, absolutely no intention of any negative here :)
Thanks for the great Music!
A wonderful Episode. Wish you all The Best! Suzy from Berlin!
You should do series on what everyone is wearing in LA ...the new Orleans..then st Lucia.. Chicago...and then come back to London and do one here..
I remember Lynn from Paper Magazine. She always wears the most interesting clothes. So she's back to her old work. Cool, Ingrid
Brilliant and I’m so glad this series is still going so strong - you’ve given us the gift of ourselves. thank you !👍🏽
"this is for you its for me its for us" thank you!
I so look forward to seeing your outtakes of the streets of NY. I really appreciated the photography, editing, effort of stopping people and all time spent to bring these type of videos to your channel. And bravo on adding links of the items/garments featured in the description section. Thanks for sharing and blessing to you and all in the days to come.
You are so kind to everyone you meet. They all seem so proud. Great job!
Is it possible to do a "night time" version of this?? I love these videos!!
My fave series! Netflix needs to give you a contract! You deserve it 💕💕
I really liked Lynn in New orleans! Wow!!! I want to be her when I grow up.
LOVE the look of the man wearing pearls!
This is Friday night entertainment at its finest. Thank you Karen. Much love from the west coast of Canada💕
This series reminds of People of New York: fashion edition. Stories of where people shop, sometimes global and their style.
5:52 red white and blue Nike Cortez sneakers, these are a retro remake from the late 1970's, I actually bought them a year ago and and I had them in the 70's too :) I LOVE IT when companies do retro remakes :)
Thanks! I thought they were Cortez but wasnt sure.. gonna get me a pair too 😋
Glad I can see these videos again so happy to see everyone walking about their daily lives
Lydia has the most flawless skin I've ever seen.
omg that girl in the strapless dress is STUNNINGGGGGG, love that she paired it with fluoro marni monster clogs
GOSH, this one was so good....so many looks I loved. The Asian woman at the end was LIFE! Karen please don't EVER EVER stop doing this series!! (I mean it)
yes she was.
I know and she said she owned that silk skirt for 25 years since high school? That means she’s in her 40s?! How?? She looked late 20s maxxxx!
@@d26s10 I know, RIGHT?! And still has her high school shape!
The first woman...definitely matching to the beat of her own drummer! Love it
I love how excited we women get when we get to tell someone that our dresses have pockets!! The little things in life, my friends... The little things in life!
I like this simple jack haircut, it m-m-m-makes me happy.
