- Nothing better than a cheap facebook marketplace find, am I right, lads? Installing the Good-win Racing RoadsterSport Race muffler on my NC2 Miata to see how loud it really is. Expect ricer fly-byes, revving the nuts off this thing in parking lots and generally chicanery (my neighbors hate me).
Is it better than the Goodwin Super Q exhaust? Is this the best exhaust for the NC Miata? Let's find out.

Great vid and test road selection!!! so I’m guessing the muffler is a keeper🍺🥳
My favorite setup for the NC was on my white one, 2.5-PPE long tube header-Magnaflow resonator- Goodwin racing STREET muffler. Sounded so good.
The best product for what you pay. Got it today and it sounds amazing. Some pops and crackles at certain rpms. 100% recommend for anyone thinking of buying it!
I had The super Q.with a GWR sport Header and RB resonated . Now with this one is perfecrion. No drone issues here.
The in-car footage sounds great, louder is best for open air canyon carving! We need a roadster boyz drive soon.
Let's gooooo
Did you ever try this with the baffle insert? Looking to put it on my NC but I do about an hour of freeway 2-3 times per week. Don't mind it being loud and it sounds like once you're above 3.5k it lessens? I have the 5 speed so I cruise in 5th at around 3.5-4k RPM. Think that'd be bearable?
I have a 2013 Club MX5 with that race muffler with the Hemholtz resonator attached from Goodwin Racing.. Also have the Goodwin catted street header and midpipe. Car is somewhat loud(much more so than the Roadstersport duels muffler) but without any drone.
You don't happen to have a sound clip of that set up?
I have a '14 Club with the GWR 1.8 non catted header, 4" Helmholtz mid and the Helmholtz race single. I also have and have never installed the ceramic coated catted RoadsterSport Street single. I'm interested to know if you have any sound clips.
I have roadster sport with dual tips and cat back and it is perfect for me. It’s not obnoxious at idle or start up but when I’m driving spiritedly you can hear the exhaust note loud and clear. But not too loud…
Flying Miata just recently announced they are coming out with a NC miata turbo kit that is suppose to be simple and affordable later in the year!

I have a RacingBeat straight pipe with the Race Single. The 500 mile break in period is so loud, V8's are out here in fear.
I got the GWR Street single, and after some time I had to get the baffle. Anything between 2500 to 3000 rpm was boomy when off the throttle. With the PRHT it was nearly annoying. The sound with the baffle inserted is just right. Maybe I should build an aero panel to fill the gap back there.
The NC engine is really sensitive to exhaust changes. I just picked up an NB (videos coming soon) and it's so much more mellow sounding, even with a header and exhaust.
What was the weight saving compared to previous exhaust ???
4 cylinders do be droning. Mine's not that bad though I kinda like it.
I like that POV angle seeing the gauges and top of steering wheel - is the camera on your chest?
This time I had it mounted on the windshield flipped down ahead of the steering wheel
I have owned my MX5 for 11 years from new. It gets washed once and occasionally twice a year. The idea of ever washing an exhaust seems the definition of insanity. I like the standard exhaust because it is nice and quiet. It is not a fast car but fun to drive, better still not to get a headache by an overloud exhaust.
Vibrant resonator is your answer
Looks like significant weight saving. Its a better exhaust. That previous exhaust is hugh.
That George's old miata!
Yes it is!
can you tell me about the wheels you have on it? Thanks
Rota 17x9 +42
Any idea what the offset on your wheels are? See you are running 235 tyres.
17x9 +42. Fenders are lightly rolled, fits easily.
Sorry you answered my question at 6 minutes apologies
How did you get rid of traction control?
Hold down the DSC off button for 6 seconds
@@bryanlapiana2708 If thats the button thats supposed to be next to the passenger airbag switch then mine isnt there :/.
@@arnoldxd I think certain trim packages had it and other don’t
@@bryanlapiana2708 Thanks for that info
It is a key turn on some models, and not a button.
any chance you are looking to sell the SuperQ?
Hanging on to it for after I install the header and midpipe!
I have a super Q that i will be selling soon
oh yeah? price? condition? location? @@NA93Roadster
The single tailpipe is too narrow. Personally I prefer twin 4" pipes as they have a much deeper tone...
The Super Q looks so much better.
@@DriveBreakFixRepeat But the actual sound is rather more important I think...
Want to sell it?
everything is for sale for the right price.
