    Interest rates are falling so it makes sense to add more to bonds (GOF & PTY) on weakness today. If you watch the entire video, you’ll see which bond fund I chose and why.
    Ultimately, the decision came down to which would pay margin down faster, and add more qualifying income to banks, so that I can continue to live a financially free lifestyle out of my brokerage account.
    If you have any questions on how to use margin or Cornerstone, email me for my E-Guides at akintodd48@gmail.com. Your purchase of my E-Guides provides access to my discord chatroom and phone number should you ever need additional assistance.

    Good shyt, Todd. I watch some of your videos at least 2-3 times because you move so fast on your ipad when speaking, lol. Although, Im not brave enough to use margins it will take me longer to get there but dropping nuggets like this is softening my approach through the investment minefield which alleviates one of my major pain points! Although, I would like to be the hare in the race however many of us have no choice but to be the tortoise. Thank you.

      Very well said Yuri! Appreciate you. Yes I use it out of sheer necessity to support TJ and initially used margin to qualify for the house w dividend income. That’s what made me go through with it easier IMO.

    PTY is my favorite by far. Ive been letting it drip for years now at NAV and its been amazing for me, and I actually have a fairly high cost-basis at $15... $275/mo every month letting drip has proven to grow my account even in market downturns.

    since you helped me out with the margin negotiation tip i want to give you my advice: i think you should sell more puts and go for 45 days or less. you are wasting your time with the puts expiring in 2025. with ur 2025 puts ur barely collecting anything per day since the decay is so low. with 45 DTE options they decay more per day and u keep all profits and if thee trade goes against you just roll it out another week

    • @shill1103
      @shill1103 Год назад +2

      i make 1-2% per week selling weekly options. im up 43% YTD

    • @MrToddAkin
      @MrToddAkin  Год назад

      @@shill1103 Thx SH! For me, the problem is weekly is smaller money. I have to do a lot then to matter, which sucks up my equity. Plus I have to keep finding some each month to sell. The leaps I find are once, when the markets pullback, and then I sit on that larger premium + the indexed exposure they provide for the long term.

    • @stevenporter9114
      @stevenporter9114 11 месяцев назад

      @@MrToddAkin you really have no idea what you are doing, do you. If you simply take the same stocks that you sell puts on, in the form of leaps, and do that weekly or even monthly it would not only pay you more, it would give you a lot more control over that stock as well.

    • @MrToddAkin
      @MrToddAkin  11 месяцев назад

      @@stevenporter9114 Wow nice comment. I sell leaps bc they pay down margin faster. I also get less vol that way. Sell weeklies and you have to sell more to matter, which sucks up equity. Im living free now with less assignment risk, you?
