Thank U Danny & Wanda At "Deep South Homestead".
What a great design. I love the stool to sit on. My husband built me a stand that allows me to stand straight up and milk to protect my back and knees. The goat runs up to the third level and slips her head through a keyhole opening and eats from a big dog dish. The grain is stored under the stand in barrels. It works well after they're trained to trust me and be that high up. Thanks for all you and Wanda do. 💗
Got our baby goats awhile back. Looking for stanchion ideas and let me thank you for making this video. Really nice explanation, the pull out bench and the head lock are very neat. Thanks.
Hi,this is a nice goat stand.Very sturdy and will be comfortable with the pull out bench to milk you all's goats on.Very nice carpentry Danny.Hope you two have some healthy goat babies in the Springtime.Be well, and keep warm.♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡.......
We love that you Repurpose-Recycle-Reuse! While we don't have goats, this is so interesting, just because you fully explain what you are doing. You have the heart of a teacher! ~ Kir and Ron in Tennessee
Love the milk stand. You would be surprised what you can make out of scrap lumber. We don't through much away around here. You just never know when it might come in handy. Great job Danny.
Carpentry is so much fun. Especially when you have to figure the best way to make something from scrap you have laying around. The end product doesn't always turn out as fancy when you use scrap, but it's functional and cost effective. Great video, Danny.
Instead of making a hole, why not a vertical heat stock, like is used for cows? With one board that could be slid/pivoted over to sort of lock the head in? And would work for any height of goat as well...
I am going to be needing one myself I November 15th we got a brand new baby goat and Mama's about due to where I can start separating them and start milking them thank you for the awesome tips I'm going to build one just like yours thanks for sharing
Danny, I need help. I’m trying to build along with you but I’m missing a measurement. How far down from the bottom of the circle do you make the 4” slot?
Love that stool added to the stand! My stand is getting old maybe I can talk my husband into making the next one with a built in stool.
Nigerian dwarfs in our future☺️. The stand is perfect timing for us. Love the stool idea! God bless y’all!

Danny, you are a natural-born teacher. Heck, I think I could build a goat stand! Thanks!🌺

Nice milk stand 😊
I like the whole thing. Very good design, the handle is absolutely necessary.
Very neat. I really like that built in milking stool.
that built in bench is genius!
Glad to see the handle. was thinking of it watching you try to get seat out 1-handed.
Love the pull out seat idea... Very functional!
Great design and very well explained. Thank you for posting this video.
I put a rubber mat on the top of my goat stand. That way it can be hosed off.
Thanks for your idea.
Nice milking stand! Love the seat idea and your use or repurposing of materials. Simple and effective!

Very nice stand I like it
This is nice...
Find an old door knob and secure it from the backside with a carriage bolt? Then use the set screw to keep it from unscrewing
Very nice! Love the built in stool!
Really like it. I am going to have to build a milking stand in the spring. I will save this video for future reference.
Very cool Danny! Nice job!
Looking good Danny. Thanks for sharing.
thanks
Love the design! Thank you!
Awesome milk stand!! And the seat is a brilant idea!!! Love it!!!
I saved this in my homesteading bookmark tab. I want to make my own and this is perfect! Thank you!
Love the stool! :)
Put a little hay on top of feed. Will give you a lot more time to milk while they sift through for the feed
Very good thinking
Thanks for the info, Danny. We don't have goats yet, but I think we will someday. We can use all the info we can.👍🙏

I love the design. I need s milking table built. May have to take some of your ideas!
Who better to design a milk stand for goats than someone who has milked a lot of goats.

really nice project, always find a way to make something out of nothing
