It is wonderful how you are teaching you daughter to build things! My dad did that with me when I was a teen and I sure appreciate it now that he has been gone for many years.
I watched five videos on milk stands and your is the best. I will be copying your build. Btw, we have 17 grands........They love the goats. Love your family, I have followed your for years.
What a life lesson you are great parents and grandparents awesome. Lovely family all the best we will be needing one of these in the near future. Emmanuel's Promise Farm appreciates your video.
Fantastic! That is one thing that I wish I had. My parents actually were carpenters, but with their ministry, they didn't do anything like that because they were busy, and now that they're over 60 and their health isn't as good as it once was, they wouldn't be able to do stuff like this anymore. And so I have to be the one to learn to do it myself and teach my kiddos.
Thank you so much for this video! I am a first time goat owner and 16 and I just used your video to make my own stanchion. It went really well. Thanks you again.
We will be milking goats in the future on our homestead and I love your goat milking stand. It looks easy to build and very well built. Thank you for sharing.
Hey Aust! If the goats are still slipping or stumbling on that ramp you might want to check out Weed em and Reap's latest ramp. They added "expanded metal." I'm not sure if it's the same as stucco netting or something else but I thought you should know.
How timely. I'm building my new stand now too. Your design is much more simple. I think I'll use your leg design instead and modify it for 2 goats. Thanks guys.
I would rub down the wood with some food grade mineral oil so if they urinate on it the urine would get repelled instead of the wood absorbing it just to help it last longer
That is great work. I think though the goats back hooves need trimming and if they were flat she would get up easier. She just looked that they were a little slippery.
New viewer and subscriber here....Ken from Orlando. Was recommended to check it out. Enjoyed this video very much. Excellent design for Goat milking stand. Love seeing the family all work together to make things happen, Will be checking out more vids as time goes on Thanks.
They catch on so fast. The first time I got my ewe on the stand I thought I was going to die😅 I was so frustrated. Then a few days later it clicked and she jumped right up. Good building video.
dont waste your time pre drilling, just buy good screws, with GRK wood screws you can put a #8 screw in with in a 1/4" of the end of a hard wood board and never crack the wood, GRK screw are self drilling self reaming of the top board cleaning out the saw dust as you drive the screw in, witch prevents the top board from pulling away... the head also has a self counter sinking cutters on the under side of the tapered head, dont for get they also have them in stainless steel as well as large head screw that take the place of old style lag screw with out the big bulky head, available with plating for out doors or stainless, also look at the door shimming screws, no wooden shims needed, and fast adjustment at any time,, huge product line, including colored screws that look like a finishing nail for putting trim on. GRK also has the best style of metal roofing./siding gasket screw, with a head design that will not rip your ass wide open if you were to slip down the roof... .that was started here in thunder bay Ont. Canada, with an 18 volt screw impact you can drive about 250 standard screws 4 inchs long #10, the same 18 volt impact screw gun you can drive over 800 on one battery, with power to spare, now this test was done using the only brand of cordless drills and impact screw guns i ever buy any more, because they have a life time warranty on everything, including batteries and that is the combo kit of Ridgid in fact that is the only brand i buy in copper pipe cutter, flaring tools, pipe wrench and many other tools and power tools, but you must register your products online with in 20 days of buying it..i dont thing there will be much milking happening by the young lady, not for a few years any way, sure it will start of with good excitment, but will end as fast as it started..just my experiences.
Ok, I clicked on this instructional video to see instructions on how to build a goat milking stand. All I got was some time-lapse footage and homestead guitar music.. no measurements, no supply list..
Will your daughter be milking the goats by herself? #askhomesteady I always worry my kids won't do it exactly how I want them to. Food safety first ya know 😉😅
What wonderful grandparents to make sure their granddaughter was part of this build. This is a memory she will take with her her entire life!❤️
Subscribed- because I love the way you teach the kids to build.... you can tell it's just normal.... everyday life! We need more families like that

It’s very sweet your kiddo got to help build it. She was very helpful and worked hard :) makes my heart happy.
Love watching the children learn from their grandparents and building special memories.
Love so much how the kids are helping. What a great teaching for them
Good to see the children being taught. Great job parents and grandparents. I learned tons from my parents.
Perfect video. I appreciate it. Gonna make one for my sheep, I was gonna purchase one, but y'all made such a great tutorial, I was motivated.
Homeateady, do you have a supply list?
If you promise to keep doing what you're doing for a few more decades I promise I'll become a pioneer when I really become a homesteader ❤
This is beautiful. Everyone is involved, and making memories those kids will never forget. Way to go

Awesome family project!😁
do you actually have plans from this build
Looks great!
awesome video. how to I get ahold of the pioneer library?
Really love the stand I’m going to try to build this today do you have the dimensions available
How do you keep the head wood holding?
Are those 2x4's that y'all used for the headpiece??
lol, we are picking up our goats today! but they won't be in milk for a couple years since they are babies
I wish there was a simple list of supplies/dimensions needed, though I can figure it out.
How long did you cut the front legs.
Do you have the plans written down anywhere? I'd love to try and build this when I get goats :)
Amazing
Where is plans for goat stand. Can't find pioneer library
How many feet is the height from the ground? And the size of the platform . Thank you
Will this work for Icelandic sheep? If not, roughly how much bigger should the stand be?

We have a membership program we call the Pioneer program, and the library is where we post all the full length versions of our vids 👍
Nice Grandparents to have around sweet.
