hi everyone! It's been awhile! I've been in short vacation in the beautiful province of Cebu in the Philippines. I'll be sharing with you today my wall around the 2nd busiest airport in the Philippines, the Mactan Cebu airport 😌

Just back in U.K after my Philippine trip, got to say Cebu is much more passenger friendly than NAIA, could be due to size difference maybe but far better food choices and I was impressed by the smoking area, the 1 that no longer exists at NAIA (back in 2018) was much smaller and now they give us an outside area. Once I'm retired to PH I'll have to give Cebu a try 😁😁

Mactan is my airport of choice when traveling to the Philippines. Stress free and easy in and out of immigration. It's never crowded like NAIA and easy transfer from international flights to domestic flights.I will be there next week, July 12.

I love the MCIA Terminal 1 which is a domestic airport facility. To me, this is the best airport terminal in the entire Philippines. The T2 is for the international flights which is also stunning, spacious, aesthetic and modern.

Thr best airport in PH and the best staff. I just hoped Cebu's land transport system and roads will improved. The traffic is just unbearable and the roads are narrow. Wish they could contruct the monorail soon.

That's how an international airport should look like. Most big international airports in Asia have a wide array of shops like in Hong Kong, Bangkok, Taipei-Taoyuan, Seoul-Incheon, Singapore, etc. in their terminals. While this particular terminal is a domestic terminal (T1), it's really quite impressive for a domestic terminal to host international retail chains such as Illy Cafe, SW Smith, CBTL, Starbucks (not seen in this video), Krispy Kreme, etc.

MCIA = very chill
NAIA = very stressed
That cycle is always consistent whenever I travel.
unlike in NAIA the audio announcements are clear throughout the terminal, and the passengers have time to still shop

Last time I was in the Cebu airport was my 1st trip to the Philippines 🇵🇭 back in 2016. I forgot have beautiful the airport was in the Philippines

I guess the Philippines being a nation of emigrants (overseas workers and international students) makes the airports a hotbed for businesses as many would be coming in droves as passengers / shoppers and would be a source place of making big bucks with business products such as restaurants, electronics, toys and signature items.
Hopefully, NMIA will be similar to MCIA in terms of passenger experience as NAIA should be demoted to just a domestic airport serving almost every airport within the Philippines. Most international arrivals and departures will be using Clark and/or NMIA while MCIA and Davao are also reasonable alternatives for international travel to and from the Philippines. NAIA is a nightmare and should no longer do international flights sending all of these flights to NMIA and/or Clark. NMIA will be the main airport of the Philippines with domestic and international flights to and from all over the world going as far as the southeast USA for NMIA’s longest direct flight. Atlanta would most likely be the furthest direct flight from the Philippines via NMIA.

MCIA is not really that great we are just so ashamed of NAIA that anything slightly better is already amazing. Speaking as someone residing in Lapu Lapu City myself.

This is pretty normal airport to my view and understanding! Reason why I make this comment is,.......when you travel out of Philippines, then you start to see other airports in other countries like, Europe,Scandanvia, Middle East,etc,...... 🤔 hmm. Pretty average I think.
Relieved to see you in your plane after all that distracting and entertaining airport walk-around ..hope you had some fun as much as us watching 😀..its more fun in the Philippines 🇵🇭 lot affordable as well

Cebu pacific needs discipline. It’ll affect our integrity, our image as a hospitable and smiley country . still , they continue to shame our country. they must have employed lazy rude employees. If nothing has been done ,then we always have a world record of shame!!

👍 The airport even had a WH Smith shop - I normally buy sandwiches and a newspaper there. BTW: I assume the food prices were exorbitantly expensive (usual airport practice)?
There are three WH Smith outlets in MCIA: two in Terminal 2 (arrival and departure areas) and one in Terminal 1 (departure); two Illy Caffe outlets (one in each terminal), 2 CBTL outlets (one in each terminal), 3 Duty Free Shops (2 in T2 and 1 in T1).

I must say this was one video you had here a airport with lots of stores and other stuff they had there I love that I think Thailand airport almost similar to this but y’all over there in the Philippines really really nice and better enjoyed that how was the flight by the way and great awesome touring video ❤️❤️💯💯👍🏽👍🏽

kudos for the smoking area. It is a hassle to have to check in and go outside. Just to have to go back thru security. Looks like an exceptional airport.

it's true very nice. Smoking areas nowadays are built in a space within the building but also outdoors. Just like in the airport, malls, companies, other restaurants, etc.
Where ever the flight attendants in yellow tee shirts are going I want to go with them..haha !
