The Smashing Pumpkins - Mellon Collie Box Set 2022 Pressing - VINYL UNBOXING

Today I'm unboxing my brand new 2022 vinyl box set of the iconic Mellon Collie And The Infinite Sadness double LP by The Smashing Pumpkins! Originally released in 1995 and featuring a stunning 24 tracks, this box set is on 4 LPs and includes two insert booklets. I show it all!
Additionally, I discuss the scarcity of this album on vinyl, share some differences between this box set and my unofficial 3-LP trifold pressing (also from 2022) on red smoke vinyl, and some of what I've been able to find online about the audio differences between the 3-LP and 4-LP versions.

I love Vinyls. No matter the maintenance, pain of myself/someone else dropping them accidentally, etc. But it’s a great hobby. The sound is so crisp and good.

It looks like you have the 2012 pressing. The 2022 pressing included poly lined sleeves and a hype sticker. I could be mistaken though.

The 2014 came out with the hype and extra sleeves. The 2022 didn't come with them and got pressed by GZ unfortunatelly which makes it a hit or miss getting a decent copy.

I picked up the re-release of Razorblade Suitcase by Bush not too long ago. I think about these bands at the same time as they were putting out hard hitting classics at around the same time. Very cool feel.

Probably worth mentioning that the 3LP version here is a bootleg of the original 1996 pressing. Any official pressings since 2012 have been the 4LP box set.

The 2022 box set sounds FANTASTIC! There's truly no comparison to the 3-LP trifold version. Bass sounds dynamic. This pressing ROCKS compared to my other 2022 one. I give it two thumbs up!
