    Cool stuff there that I hadn't heard of! My St Steven was fairly decent priced but that was years and years ago, those days are gone and will probably not come again... I love that Dungen cover, what a photo. Makes me want to drive up to Hälsingland but no, it didn't happen this summer either lol! Happy I got a copy but I do need the remade version. Some day... Cheers Jonas!

      Hej Jens! Haha, yes I totally agree, you just want to stay up all night in the midnight sun and listen to Swedish folk. What a dream! Dungen 2 is also really great, so many classic songs. Cheers!

    Greetings Jonas, great video! As a matter of fact I have watched a few of your awesome videos from the last month, from your "Manifesto" video (which I loved!), forward. You certainly have my attention.
    The awesome Rik Strange sent me to you, and if Rik says you're ok, you're ok! And he was right again. Best of luck with your channel!

    Cool finds man, i’m diggin’ the 39 clocks! I found myself 3 neat original records this weekend as well: 2 early Nasmak albums and an early Mecano ep, both Dutch experimental early 80s bands. I’m curious if you’ve heard of them before.

    • @vinylstockholm

      Hello! I'm not familiar with those bands, but it sounds very interesting, I'll have to check them out. Many thanks for the tips! Cheers!

    Greetings from the UK I'm a new subscriber and I like the different taste in music that you have presented. I've discovered some new and interesting bands and by the way, an OUD is an Egyptian stringed instrument, similar in looks and sound to a mandolin. Rock on....

      Hi! That is awesome. I love to recommend music I like, so very cool that you have found new stuff. And thanks for informing me about the Oud. Thanks for tuning in and subscribing.

    I would love to have Dungens debut on vinyl. Love them.

      Takk Morten! Yes, my summer was great, but now I'm back to work 😞. Yes, Dungen is a great band! Thanks for tuning in!

    39 Clocks may b on the arty side but I would still qualify it as Punk. In the late 70’s I was invited to go see Alice Coltrane at the Lighthouse in Hermosa Beach. I passed, thinking she was just cashing in on the Coltrane name. My friends said it was a great gig. I missed out. Saint Steven sounds right up my alley. Och Du Fracar Mic Varfor has some great fuzz guitar. Is Dungen the band name? Just looked, it is pricey.
    A great bunch of records.

    • @vinylstockholm
      @vinylstockholm  18 дней назад +1

      Thanks Richie! Yes, Dungen is the name of the band (a Swedish word that means "the grove"). That first one is pricey and it need to be reissued. As I mentioned the cd reissue is different to the original vinyl. Too bad you missed Alice Coltrane! It must have certainly been fantastic to see and hear live. Take care!

    I'm a fan of Saint Steven, got a UK and US press (kept it due to the gatefold sleeve). I'd like those first 2 Dungen lps...very nice! Liking the sound of Resa Mot Plant Mal...added to the wants. Silence really put out some great stuff. Your copy of Up The Junction is beautiful. Not common to see here and when you do the sleeve is always worn. I just got myself a decent 2nd copy recently but still not as nice as yours. Check out a more psychedelic version of the title track on YT...I just discovered it a few weeks ago. Great showings mate...cheers Nige.

      Hi Nige! I know, Up the Junction UK press is actually very hard to come by. I've been looking for many years, glad I found a fine copy. I just listened to the psychedelic version of UTJ. Very cool indeed! Was it only in the film? It's not on the soundtrack. Cheers!

      @@vinylstockholm Reading some of the YT comments on the UTJ alternative mix it looks like it came out on a CD featuring unreleased versions. Certainly a cool version.

    Interesting albums. I always thought
    Stadsvandringar sounds like first
    Mikael Ramel. Great group.
    Saint Stevens real name was Steve Cataldo and oud instrument is the Arabic lute.....

    Beautiful finds. The Kebnekajse is the highlight, with that art design and that its on Silence. Plus I love Baby Grandmothers. Amazing. I've always wanted that first Dungen. There is a copy in the US right now actually ($300). I've only ever heard that CD reissue which I sold. But I have most of their other records. The Alice is a beauty of course. Good records those 39 Clocks, they are in my wantlist. Curious what else you have on Silence?? I only have 2 I think.

    • @vinylstockholm
      @vinylstockholm  29 дней назад

      Thanks! My collection of Silence records is very modest to be honest, around 10 LPs maybe, and a couple on my wantlist. I love the label, with the hand drawn labels etc, but musically, it's mostly not for me. Highlights for me are Kebnekaise, TG&S, Bo Hansson, Älgarnas trädgård, Handgjort, Anna Själv Tredje, Ragnarök etc.

      @vinylstockholm  25 дней назад

      @@seekingathread oh no, I'm a big fan of Harvester, I have the LP. I meant I'm not a big fan of the music from the Silence label generally. But some are great like the ones I mentioned :)

    You found some great LPs this time - love that St. Steven LP, it's one of my faves - found a copy way back in the day for 2/$1.00 in a budget bin! I have the U.S. pressing of that Manfred Mann, "Up The Junction" LP and it's totally excellent - in fact one of their best! Thanks for showing those interesting albums!
