55:32 "I'M AFRAID" always gets to everyone who played this game. That's why Roger Clark won the best performance award back in 2018. He's a top-notch actor.
Yeah, and with bad honor, or not meat the sister before there would be Reverend Swanson waiting at the station for some talk. Not so emotional just a substitute.
@dudeguy While it holds weight that Reverend is someone he knew longer, Sisters interaction shows kindness and love from complete strangers which is uncommon but one of the most pure things humanity can show, I think that’s why Sisters interaction has more popularity because it is something hardly seen but all can sympathize with
@dudeguy personally I prefer the sister one, especially because Arthur writes in his diary after that talking to the sister helped ease his pain and worries
@dudeguy the low honor cutscene doesn’t treat it as a “sweet, embrace yourself moment” But more of a “you still have time to change what your doing” type of deal, seeing as how it plays out and reverend is the one talking to you
We have all known Arthur as being a strong, ruthless and fearless man... and to hear him say that he's afraid just crushes your soul. It catches you off guard. You see the literal fear in his eyes. Like a child. A glimpse of innocence in his most vulnerable physical state. Truly heartbreaking.
That scene with Sister was emotional and sweet! Arthur is a good man deep down, personally I think being in the Gang is holding him back from who is truly is, I do appreciate his loyalty though.. & Sadie is so awesome! Love her Character. Enjoyed the Episode 🤗
Just a little bit of info, in that the cutscene of Arthur and is the Sister an optional one, depending upon certain criteria, met in the game. I won’t spoil otherwise, just to say it’s the better option in my opinion.
No matter how many times I replay this game, Arthur telling Sister Calderon that ‘he’s afraid’ always brings tears straight to me eyes. The look on his face as he says it makes me want to sob every time. I think that that and the time he tells Rains Fall about his son Isaac is probably the few times he’s been so open and completely honest about his feelings and his past. Arthur’s story breaks my heart. I love him so much 😭❤️
This scene is very realistic. The way he says he's afraid of dying, with that deep looking that the end is coming soon. Emotional. Very well acted. This game is a masterpiece. Better than many movies and series out there.
in my first playthrough i never expected some random encounter with a guy asking for money on the street would be such a pivotal moment in this game, arthurs journal entry after this talk with Sister made me emotional
I'm on my second playthrough and still in chapter two. Hunting all the legendary animals, doing all the collection and finding things quests. Doing the treasure map hunts. Doing everything bar that Thomas Downes mission for Strauss!!!!
watching your play though of this game has been so fun. i never did the final mission with the nun so this is the first time seeing this scene. wow i haven't cried this hard in so long.
Another awesome episode Sienna 😊 I swear of all the play throughs of this game I watched I always cry during the emotional scenes. It definitely gets real and more emotional from here to be honest... Can't wait for the next one 😁
I haven't played the game yet but him saying he's afraid gets me good for some reason. Maybe I've watched too much playthrough that I get to know him better as a tough bastard and as he muttered those words it hits me like a bullet.
55:34 it was at this moment that I couldn't finish my 1st playthrough, and went restarting all the way to new-gaming ch.1, my then-2nd playthrough which I finished. 💔💔💔
Sienna, just a heads up... a certain song will play ahead in the game & you don't need to worry about the copyright claims at all. "Unshaken" was the only song that gets you strike in this whole game.
this game has such perfect story telling watching the rise and fall of the gang was sooo good and dramatic. this game is like a once in a time masterpiece imo
This scene hit me hard, as a young man you have the world to take on, fearless… then you grow old, find a good woman and have a family, then suddenly you have everything to lose, so much fear sets in, nothing works the same, slowly withering you away. Then you learn to accept that, learn to love what you were graced with.
I don't know if others in the RDR community picked up on this, but I believe Sadie was raped and abused pretty badly before being saved by Dutch and them. This was the "wild" West back then. Sadie and the game never mentioned what really happened - at least from what I know - but she kept to herself and her rage just grew. This is why she hates the O'Driscolls with a passion - especially the fat guy with the beard! Why would she remember him and despise him so badly??? Because she remembers what he truly did to her the most! Could it be that he was the one who killed her husband? It's possible...but when gang members break in and hold a man and his pretty wife hostage, they're not just going to sit around and play cards all day - especially with Sadie and her husband living so remotely from the nearest town.
Okay just to be clear before Red Dead Redemption 2 started Dutch and Colm were actually friends. And no I'm not making that up I actually never knew that until another RUclipsr said it I was like wait what when did this happen?. But yes they were actually friends and Dutch's gang and Colm's gang were riding with each other. I'm hoping that is Red Dead Redemption 3 does come out that we can actually see how they were friends. But yes I'm not making that up they were actually friends again I never knew until I found out I was shocked just because of the fight between those two leaders.
Rev Swanson would have been at station had you not had done brother Dawkins side missions. Had you have killed Jean-Marc you would have got 10% off everything in st denis. Good play through so far.
*Well said. Real men have a natural instinct to protect women and children. You certainly don't have to be a crazy good for nothing feminist to be a real man*
53:01 That is one of the most emotional scenes in the game. "I'm afraid". That hits you like a freight train.
Not the most emotional scene in game, but the most emotional scene in all of fiction 😢
And right next to an actual train too.
55:32 "I'M AFRAID" always gets to everyone who played this game.

True :(
How do you get the nun I always get reverend
@@listy0fsmeg do two side quests with Brother Dorkins in St Denis in Chapter 4 and havthigh honour
You are right, your conversation with the sister wouldn't had happened if you had low honor. Beautiful scene that is entirely optional!

Me : i m a tough guy i don't cry😎
Arthur : "i m afraid"
Same me : cry like a baby😅
"you and me, we're more ghosts than people" that shit hits me deep

He said he's afraid. But he fought until his last breath to help John and others start over.
that was the 'acting love' sister Calderón said to Arhtur to take a gamble of
Arthur Morgan is hands down the best game character ever created! His like a family member ❤️
That scene with the nun always gets me as well.
The Sadie moment is underrated for me, the voice actor for Sadie did a wonderful job!

Watch this! You can actually pinpoint the second when her heart rips in half!
if you ever plan on playing rdr1, try to remember the dialogue from 20:15 to until they jump, it's a reference
I was going to wait a bit to play it but I’m hooked now and I might just end up playing it straight after😭

Goddammit this game has so many emotional moments that you forget that it's a gruesome western game
53:00 That scene accomplishes exactly what it's designed to do: crush your soul beyond repair.

i swear this game does not have bad VA. Every performance are top notch, even the random npcs *chef kiss.

minute 21. i just realized its almost the same speech he gave in the end of the first game.
