I love watching people who played RDR2 first and then go to RDR1. As someone who played the original first it’s very interesting to see how people perceive the first games story.
Which is a bad decision for the writer to have made. Before RDR2 came out John was considered a thoughtful, smart and tough person. And they put every single good line and badass feature of John onto other characters so now John looks like a idiotic catfish who doesn't know anything and only knows to copy lines from his old gang members
@@flamingmonkey7712well no that’s a matter of perspective and personal opinion, I see it as him reciting words of wisdom from the people who raised him, only a cynic would come to your conclusion
@@quietdemon8138 I respect your opinion but just answer me this: If they're planning to make another prequel, do you wish they transfer every single joke and deep line of Arthur's, to someone else, so they can show you a characrer development? And young Arthur be acting like a social awkward, stuttering speaking kid and people keep saying "Oh it's because it's still young"? No I wouldn't, I would want an angry, mean and cruel Arthur like how Hosea and Dutch described his younger self on the fishing boat, and this is what I had wanted for younger John. So the whole story of RDR2 was one of the greatest to me, but at the same time it was a disappointment to me as a prequel for this specific reason. Because it claims to be a story about Arthur, but eventually everything is still about John but they messed him up bad.
The Pinkerton Detective Agency was just a security service contracted to the government. By the time of this game, they had stopped using them and created the Bureau of Investigation. The two guys leading John at the beginning, one of whom you should recognize. ;) The BoI later became the FBI. :)
John and Abigail had a daughter who was born and died very young sometime between both games (RDR 2 ends in 1907 and RDR 1 is set in 1911). It's unknown as to what happened to her, but the popular theory is that she was either stillborn or died from some illness. In RDR 2, after beating all of the main missions from the 1907 epilogue, John can have a "secret" conversation with Abigail where it's implied she is pregnant by the time RDR 2's story ends (she's knitting something baby-sized): m.ruclips.net/video/fQuYgix-gmw/видео.html
I've been binge watching your RDR2 play through these past few days since I got recommended a video! And it seems to be great timing haha! Can't wait to see you experience yet another amazing game!!
It's Going to be really interesting playing RDR1 after playing RDR2 with insight on the new states introduced in RDR2. 2:32 If you look to the right of the riverboat you can see the Big Valley region of West Elizabeth which was featured in RDR2 where the town of Strawberry is located. This Region was featured on the others side of the Upper Montana River which in RDR1 acts as the border of the map, John can’t swim so it's impossible to cross. In RDR2 beyond the Upper Montana River is where you'll find the Great Plains region where John's house is located along with the city/town of Blackwater acting as the gateway to the East and West. You also have Tall Tree's the place where the Skinner Brothers gang was located who kidnapped Uncle and attacked the delivery crew. These two region are also featured in RDR1 excluding everything beyond the Upper Montana River pretty much everything from RDR2. You can also mountains behind Blackwater just behind where Big Valley should be. These mountains are the Grizzlies seen in RDR2 but at the time we had no idea what was beyond the map lol so it's good to finally know. New Hanover, Ambarino, and Lemoyne are all new States to the series introduced in RDR2 with the region of Big Valley being added a new part of West Elizabeth. If you look across from Blackwater where the right side of the boat is facing you can see where the State of Lemoyne should be located just across flat iron lake. The terrain matches up really well as well unlike the GTA series where’s the games are set on an island surrounded by an endless sea both RDR1 and RDR2 feature terrain surrounding the map adding to the size of the map plus makes us wonder what’s beyond the map like how knows maybe RDR3 will take place just east of the RDR2 map just across from Lemoyne. 1:11:03 Marshall Johnson mentioning a place called Dade County which doesn't actually appear in RDR1 or RDR2. This could be a fictional county north or west of New Austin maybe it's even apart of the state of New Austin as New Austin could expand north and west just like how Big Valley, West Elizabeth was added in RDR2 maybe Dade county could be a future location in RDR3. 1:13:46 New Austin is a fictional state based on Arizona, New Mexico, and western Texas pretty much your classic western setting. Each region of New Austin each has their own inspiration so expect a new range of different geography. Texas does exist in the RDR universe so I like to think that New Austin broke away from Texas naming itself after Austin the capital city of Texas. But yeah in terms of where we are on the map of America we’re somewhere beside or below Texas on the border with Mexico. Also wanted to point out that in the intro we can see an automobile being off loaded in Blackwater which is pretty cool I imagine Saint Denis is filled with these driving about. My theory after playing RDR2 is that the Riverboat carrying John came from Saint Denis from our understanding it's the closest modern city to Blackwater being just across the Flat Iron Lake which you can see many ships and boats traveling across in RDR2. 3:43 These two guys with John are the same guys at the end credits of RDR2 working as Agents under the Bureau of Investigation (BOI) later known as the FBI. Another fun detail Blackwater and Great Plains now have a train station and railroad connecting it to New Austin something the region of Great Plains didn't have in RDR2. Big Valley on the other hand did have train tracks connecting it with the State of New Hanover so I'm guessing even though we don't see it in RDR1 (Big Valley didn't exist yet) that Great Plains is also connected to Big Valley. You can also can see a woman using a telephone in Armadillo a little detail showing the time difference between RDR2 and RDR1. You and Sadie looked at Armadillo from the overpass but you've never went to the town or beyond Blackwater much besides for one mission unless you explored New Austin off scene buy yourself i don't recall a video exploring New Austin.
And here's a tip-The horse vitality bar is on the left side of the mini map. You can tap 3 times and rest, tap 3 times and rest- keep doing that and the horse vitality will last longer.
It's important to note regarding the story that RDR2 was several years away from being written when this was made, so many, MANY specific details of RDR2's narrative just aren't going to be referenced or intended to be directly referenced here. RDR2 was built off of the foundation they laid here (along with vague ideas they had while writing this of course), so don't get too hung up on "does this reference this specific thing from RDR2?" Sometimes it does, but a lot of the time this game will gesture at some thing that happened in the past and the actual idea they had in mind was only a generalized concept that wasn't anywhere close to fleshed out until they actually sat down to write the second game. Case in point: most of the characters from the gang are never referenced once, because they didn't even exist in the conceptual stage yet.
It's more of RDR2 referencing RDR1 than the other way round like the insists thing, they did a great job. A lot of things like John not talking about Arthur can be explained by him trying to not dwell on the past etc like he says in the RDR2 epilogue, but it's obviously not intended in this game since Arthur didn't exist as a character yet. In rdr2 Arthur loots a guy on a beach who comes back to life for a few seconds and says “tell her I” then dies. The letter he has is to bonnie mcfarlane
Looking forward to your playthrough of this. I haven’t played it in years but it was once a story I never thought could be topped….until RDR2 came out. But being you’ve experienced the prequel first before this one…will definitely be something to enjoy more.

I believe Dutch reached to "Insist" and Bill reacted to "Implore" the way they did because they deemed them as civilized words, and Dutch wanted to pursue an idea that didn't work anymore outside of civilization.
A great way of stockpiling thousands of dollars early in RDR 1, was learning five finger fillet & making max bets once you learned the few patterns used. I would make $5,000 all at one time immediately after five finger fillet became available. It took awhile to do, but was much better & faster than looting hundreds of bodies/chests for most of the game.
"Do we have stamina on the horse?" Well, the moment you asked, it ran out and your horse told you in no uncertain terms how it felt about that. That's a mechanism in RDR1 that didn't exist in RDR2 (horses just let their head hang and walked very limply) which can be VERY annoying if you don't watch the blue bar at the bottom left.
Cool that Rockstar mentioned that John's father lost his sight in a bar fight in Chicago I live in Chicago! RDR takes place over one year, in 1911. That means John was 38 years old when he died in the original Red Dead Redemption. Since RDR2 begins in 1899, John would have been 26 years old during the game's opening scenes
Love the playthrough. Laughed a little bit at the fact that you spent more time trying to fast travel from the Marshall mission than you would have if you just rode out of there! :') Enjoy the travel. There is a lot of beauty out there, albeit it is a bit lower scaled than RDR2
Those guys in the beginning are not pinkterons they’re federal agents of the bureau of investigation‘s or otherwise known as the FBI except for Ross he was a Pinkerton but not anymore
hey sienna, pretty sure the algorithm is giving you a hand atm, your channels gonna grow pretty well for a bit and how well is pretty much down to you haha, good luck :)

I love your videos so much! Have you ever played TellTales the walking dead game? If you haven’t you should try it! It’s one of my favorites and a super fun and sad story
RDR is a classic - I can't believe it's been 12 years since its release. Looks like it holds up pretty well, though! I'm sure you'll enjoy the story it has to offer.

You totally missed all the chest with money after the pikes basin mission . They were in the tents. Also brakes (slow down) on the horse will be your friend. And the $50 for the hotel room above the saloon is property you buy and keep. So you can sleep there for free after you purchase it. There’s a total of 13 houses ( property) you can buy throughout the game.
this game is so great, only game i was so sure on getting i was able to walk into a gamestop, grab it, buy it, and walk out without wanting to browse around to make sure i picked the right game
Finished rdr2 last week. Doing the same as you now. Never played the first. Dodging spoilers like crazy as its been so long since its alteady been around. Have a nice ride!
I am super new to your channel for some reason got recommended your video where Arthur dies. I know a lot of people took it that hard. I am personally not a crier in pretty much every scenario of life but it definitely bums you out. I remember even Oxhorn teared up on his playthrough when Arthur died alone on the hill at sunrise.
Theres a random enounter mission in RDR2 were bill gets captured by bounty hunters you can choose to help if but if not Jaiver goes to save him. Its an intreasting contrast to this game were you are now the bounty hunter.
One thing to remember is that this game is a sequel in terms of story. That and it was released in 2010 and Rockstar at the time didn't think of the story and names of the other characters of RDR 2. Arthur wasn't even a character at the time. John is 38 in RDR1.
I'm excited for your playthrough but also a little nervous too that you won't like it. This one's a lot more brutal than the first one. Also, as you know RDR2 was a prequel so most of the characters in RDR2 were created for that game and won't be mentioned at all in this one, including Arthur. There's been rumors that Rockstar is going to do a remaster of RDR in the future and they'll add more dialogue referencing the events of RDR2 and the characters, but that's not confirmed yet.
What a pleasent suprise to see you play RDR! I looooved your RSR2 playthrough and loved how invested you are in the story! Remind me again, you havent played the first RDR, right? I am looking forward for your insight and opinions!
Just finished binge watching your entire rdr2 playthrough and I loved it!! Glad to know other people get really emotionally invested into videogames like me 😂 however I also have a suggestion for you! Whenever you're able to, can you do a playthrough of the first two Infamous games? I don't really suggest the third game because it makes the endings for the second one completely null and void and I hate it, but I think you'll really enjoy the OG Infamous games!
This is my first time checking out the first Red Dead. Your RDR2 play through was epic and I am sure this will be too. I noticed when you had the map open that most of the map from RDR2 is not on there. Are you able to travel freely where you want? I wonder what Beecher's Hope looks like. I hope they remaster this game for the PS4. Looking forward to the next video.

If they ever Remake RDR. Which is very unlikely they need to change up some of the plot to make it more sense. Because now they just act like Hosea or Arthur or Sadie or Charles don't even exist lol!
Taking advantage of the fact that Red Dead 2 is just finished, I'm going to tell a theory that explains why John returns by ferry to Blackwater at the beginning even though he lives there (maybe this contains spoilers, read at your own risk). The theory is supported by the central plot of RDR1, in which John must hunt down all the members of Dutch's old gang to earn his freedom, recalling the end of RDR2 during American Venom, both Charles and Sadie mention wanting to get away from Blackwater. and surroundings (Charles wanting to go to Canada and Sadie wanting to go to South America), with mentioning that ALL of Dutch's gang members must be hunted down and that John returns by ferry to Blackwater even though the prequel RDR2 ends in that same place. This theory implies that John killed both Charles and Sadie at some point between RDR2 and RDR1. It is a very probable and interesting theory, sad, but very probable in the end.
Maybe John was arrested and taken to Sissika. A deal was offered. Being hanged or going after Bill and Dutch. That's why he returns in ferry. Now a ferry wouldn't go to Sissika but what if he was taken to that ferry in boat and put inside the ferry discretely?
I've always just been under the impression that john and his family had been arrested and were being held captive, and john was released only so he could hunt down the former gang.
i loved the playthrough and very nice to see you play rdr1 but before you continue the story pls you must do the stranger mission "i know you" you'll see him otw tomacfarlene ranch at cliffs scenes your near armodillo just look at your right and you'll see a ? mark and yes if your gonna ask its canon to the story
also i love the fact that the jankeyness of it, being as old as it is, isn't like spoiling your experience with the story. also I've never seen someone play in this order so you asking why you're going after bill is such an interesting thing to me, i never wondered i was always just like fuck that guy lol
Sienna I love your channel and youtube streams I love to see more in 2022 it was my birthday monday it was good I love to see some Ghost Wire Tokyo and maybe Dying Light 2 too
*Spoilers* I find it really tragic and beautiful that this story begins with John attempting to throw his life away. Then it ends with him finally truly living and enjoying his life, love and family only to have it all taken away from him.
I am enjoying your RDR2 and now RDR playthroughs. I am curious, though, why you run full speed all the time? on foot or horseback, you go as fast as possible.

OMG From rdr2 to 1! I will watch you to the end.❤️🤠
If you time your button presses correctly with the horse's gallop, you can run at max speed indefinitely.
Thise who played rdr1 after rdr2 have a different kind of emotion but those who played rdr2 after rdr1 have a kind of nostalgia!❤
Or 6:50 at then that’s Bonnie or maybe she got up to change seats
hey sienna, pretty sure the algorithm is giving you a hand atm, your channels gonna grow pretty well for a bit and how well is pretty much down to you haha, good luck :)
The video and sound are ok to me, I played this game after it first came out about 20 times the one thing that was the hardest for me and I hated was the Herding!!!
I think the Quality is Fine, but if it bothers you too much, ain't no harm in putting the series off just a Bit.
I love your videos so much! Have you ever played TellTales the walking dead game? If you haven’t you should try it! It’s one of my favorites and a super fun and sad story
I’ve just binged watched your playthrough today and seeing this now
im soo excited!!!
I’ve been waiting for this!!
It's so awesome you're playing this in chronological order. :)
Oh I'm def gonna watch your playthrough of this! Been meaning to experience RD1 since finishing RDR2!!
RDR is a classic - I can't believe it's been 12 years since its release. Looks like it holds up pretty well, though! I'm sure you'll enjoy the story it has to offer.
Girl, I'm obsessed with you, You like the games I like, You know how to play, such an important thing haha. You feel Videogames as an art Just like me. You are Beautiful.. I'm in love, Sorry :,'C. I have over than 1 hour looking at your videos. Since then, you have a loyal sub. I want you to know that I'll always Support you ok?
You totally missed all the chest with money after the pikes basin mission . They were in the tents.
Also brakes (slow down) on the horse will be your friend. And the $50 for the hotel room above the saloon is property you buy and keep. So you can sleep there for free after you purchase it. There’s a total of 13 houses ( property) you can buy throughout the game.
this game is so great, only game i was so sure on getting i was able to walk into a gamestop, grab it, buy it, and walk out without wanting to browse around to make sure i picked the right game
A foreman is like a supervisor or a lead at a job.
Love that you went back to play this one
Finished rdr2 last week. Doing the same as you now. Never played the first. Dodging spoilers like crazy as its been so long since its alteady been around. Have a nice ride!
I am super new to your channel for some reason got recommended your video where Arthur dies. I know a lot of people took it that hard. I am personally not a crier in pretty much every scenario of life but it definitely bums you out. I remember even Oxhorn teared up on his playthrough when Arthur died alone on the hill at sunrise.
They’re not Pinkertons anymore! They’re The Bureau of Investigation.
I found my favourite RUclipsr for 2023
43:45 go to a local bank, go behind the counter uninvited and see what happens
I'm excited for your playthrough but also a little nervous too that you won't like it. This one's a lot more brutal than the first one. Also, as you know RDR2 was a prequel so most of the characters in RDR2 were created for that game and won't be mentioned at all in this one, including Arthur. There's been rumors that Rockstar is going to do a remaster of RDR in the future and they'll add more dialogue referencing the events of RDR2 and the characters, but that's not confirmed yet.
The quality looks pretty normal to me, looking forward to more
What a pleasent suprise to see you play RDR!
Best Gamer Ever❤️❤️❤️
I also started playing RDR1, although I played it when it came out, I wanted to go back to this story.
1:15:45 Oh wow, the Wilhelm Scream
At 5:36 you see Bonnie macflarene in the back at 5:36 click here 5:36 nvm sorry it’s at 5:27
It still looks good even after 12 years
When you complete a gang hideout for the first time your reward is a new weapon
This is my first time checking out the first Red Dead. Your RDR2 play through was epic and I am sure this will be too. I noticed when you had the map open that most of the map from RDR2 is not on there. Are you able to travel freely where you want? I wonder what Beecher's Hope looks like. I hope they remaster this game for the PS4. Looking forward to the next video.
Hello Sienna Maria ,,...nice to see you Playing Both RDR parts ..... i enyoued seeing you playing the second Part of RDR ... now you go on with RDR 1 and just Started in this Video ...Like me .......But i Played the second Part on PC ...and be not used to play with Controler .......i have a Playstation 3 ,....wih RDR1 and was shoked to play such Games with Controler..,..i was very CLose to Stop playing becouse the Handlyi9ng with the Controler and aiming with a Stick ,instead of a Mouse ...,,LOL ... But i get more and more into the ps3 Controler and it is more and more Fun ...........i am happy to see how you play with the Controler ..have Fun ....
When your done with this you NEED to play undead nightmare it's the best Rockstar dlc ever
If they ever Remake RDR. Which is very unlikely they need to change up some of the plot to make it more sense. Because now they just act like Hosea or Arthur or Sadie or Charles don't even exist lol!
The white haired lady that is sitting behind John looks like old lady from the Tweety and Sylvester cartoons.
coyotes are considered vermin/pests in most of america even to this day. that's why the description said "exterminate" lol
@@zachknight6347 Well, yeah is basically stated that his family is being held captive
u look like lexi from euphoria lol
great video none the less
i loved the playthrough and very nice to see you play rdr1 but before you continue the story pls you must do the stranger mission "i know you" you'll see him otw tomacfarlene ranch at cliffs scenes your near armodillo just look at your right and you'll see a ? mark and yes if your gonna ask its canon to the story
Excited for a new Series! It’s going to be an amazing Journey with John. Like how the Story picks up after RDR2! 🤗
also i love the fact that the jankeyness of it, being as old as it is, isn't like spoiling your experience with the story. also I've never seen someone play in this order so you asking why you're going after bill is such an interesting thing to me, i never wondered i was always just like fuck that guy lol
Sienna I love your channel and youtube streams I love to see more in 2022 it was my birthday monday it was good I love to see some Ghost Wire Tokyo and maybe Dying Light 2 too
42:35 I make mistakes in five finger fillet 42:30 but I’m good at poker
Hi Sienna the video looks Awesome just like you 🎉😊🎉
The first scene is the dreaded Edgar Ross who wad agent Milton's partner in the 2nd game.
*Spoilers*
I find it really tragic and beautiful that this story begins with John attempting to throw his life away. Then it ends with him finally truly living and enjoying his life, love and family only to have it all taken away from him.
So happy i found this channel
I am enjoying your RDR2 and now RDR playthroughs. I am curious, though, why you run full speed all the time? on foot or horseback, you go as fast as possible.
I don’t mean too😭 it just happens on auto pilot but I’m trying to slow down!!
8:45 already causing accidents
I hope you enjoy the rest of rdr1
Oh boy!!! It begins...
Horses stamina bar is to the left of your mini map
I just cant believe this is happening, cheers from brazil!!!
I like you vids and i just wanted to forwarn you( because i saw it happen to another streamer with the Red Dead games). Be sure you are in a good place emotionally and mentally before finishing the game.
I'm exited for this. Also I didn't know you have a lazy eye. If it makes you feel any better it's hard to tell.
I hope we get a remaster of this game.
I just found this channel, but as a Southerner, I find her faux-Southern accent adorable hahaha.
After red dead redemption can you play the dlc undead Nightmare you have to play the digital version because the disk copy is broken
