Fitting. If they ever make Japanese AC, i hope the combat style would be somewhat similar to Sekiro's. Given that Katana would be the main weapon, classic AC combat or Origins style won't be much suitable. There has to be a tension and risk to every move you make in a fight.
Alex Takahashi I dont think your idea would be accepted that much. Many AC fans hate Sekiros combat system and the way AC games are today (Origins and Odyssey style). I think it would be awesome (maybe like that new Samurai game that is coming out for PS4).
Alex Takahashi Also, Katanas were not often used in combat for the Japanese, as they were seen as spiritually tied to a person. They were rarely used unless it was the last effective weapon (it was never the main weapon, it was always carried around as a badge of honor and a sidearm)
@AndorinhaIberica It'd be Better if Assasins creed went more story based and a more realistic combat system We'd see some Badass Samurai duel systems against a Templar samurai Either on on the Emperor's Battle grounds Or in the RiceFields with a setting sun and with some pink blossoms in the wind Think about it It'll feel like ancient Japan
kskskskskskskski nig eh... depends. Like if they were from the same clan, maybe. But it’s more like Ninjas are the like the role of Special Forces today to be stealthy, While Samurai is more like a direct combat/surveillance role. If from different clans, they would be against eachother. Now it would probably make sense if one clan was templar and other Assassin
Now, here's a little tidbit that people are already overlooking: as of the modern timeline in Odyssey, the Japanese Yakuza are allied with the Assassins. Or at least some are. The Yakuza was originally formed out of the lower tiers of Japanese society to defend against slash-happy Samurai who would get new weapons and basically take them out into the streets of Japan and "practice" on innocents. Just to see how the weapons fared. Just sayin'. A Japanese Assassin's Creed game could basically write itself.
Ohhhh man... there's a bit to digest here. While yes, there were groups of individuals who would defend villages from out of work Samurai after the Restoration in 1868, depending on who one asks, the citizens or the Yakuza, one usually gets two different answers, as to which the Yakuza derived from. Citizens say the raiders, Yakuza say the defenders. As they would rather align with the romantic image of being the samurai who were men of the people. However, this is also not taking into account the other two groups who melded with what we consider today as the Yakuza. The Tekiya, who were the the market stand owners and ran what we know of as Mafia ''Protection Rackets'' on those who wanted to sell their wares in the markets. Then, there are the Yakuza. The gamblers who had the gambling halls and such. Hence the name, Yakuza, as they took it from the hanafuda (Flower Cards) hand, where it's kind of like an obscure game where it's kind of like Poker, but a hand of 21 is the best hand to have. In any case, having an 8 (Ya), a 9 (Ku) and a 3 (Sa) added up to 20, the worst most useless hand in the entire game, due to be the closest to the win, but pointless to have. So they adopted the name Yakuza as a means of poking fun at being the ''Useless/Bad hand in society.'' Where even leading up to WWII, there were Yakuza who would receive ridicule for branching out to other ventures, like ''What's the matter, are you so bad at running gambling that you have to find other ways to make income?'' So originally, the Yakuza were the gamblers (Bakuto) and eventually, swirled into other criminal organizations like the Tekiya and the Defenders/Raiders (You'll have to forgive me, as the terms for these individuals currently elude me), I'm guessing from the utter destruction to their nation and society as a result of their part in WWII... to comprise what we know of as the Yakuza organization, today. Then, in the 80s and such, began to venture out into drugs, prostitution, etc etc.
Literally the one period in history everyone is asking for, but instead of going to their roots with stealth as a core game concept, they've gone to open world rpgs (Not bad games (Origins & Odyssey), and I know they needed to change up the series, but still a little disappointing) But please ubisoft, go back to what made the series great to start with, dig into the assassin's creed lore even more without breaking continuity, keep what has made Origins and Odyssey great with the larger worlds, but bring back the better character development and progression.
@@Corvaric Funny, it was exactly the opposite with me. I do not like Origins, but I admire the Ancient Greek setting and the mythology element Odyssey offers. Great game !
@@faytneris i kinda like both. Origins is just freakin amazing overall (just my opinion, i love the setting and atmosphere) and oddessey is great in so many ways but the cringy animations in dialogues mess it up for me

So you're saying ghost of tsushima cant be relabeled for sequels like ghost of Sparta or something I think it's a very fin idea to play with and I think the developers could take a less grand scifi approach but have a game grounded in the reality and history of the time period no magic powers just raw warriors
@@satriaputrapratama4703 different period also same samurai and ninja, still boring compared to AC, not like AC can change different culture background entirely
If you think about it. It's the perfect setting. You could have it so that the Shinobi (Ninja) are intertwined with the assassins and somehow the templar are aligned with samurai. They could easily bring back that true sneaky Assassin Feel that all the new games are missing while also being very immersive.
Your right, man I really want a AC game that is in Japan, Ninjas and assassins are kinda the same, but if they side together they can take down some tyrannical clan or even a clan that is being controlled by the Templars.
@@dc1n1001 Haha, no worries. It became Tokyo after the Restoration in 1868, when Meiji moved from the then capital Kyoto, to make Edo the new Capital, hence the name Tokyo, as it means something along the lines of ''Capital East'' (Which is why it`s basically the same syllables as Kyoto). Before then, the Shogun was in Edo, due to Tokugawa Ieyasu flexing his middle finger to the memory of Toyotomi Hideyoshi for ''Gifting him'' a... Tampa, if you will, while selling it as though he's getting New York City, for his great service. So not only did he middle finger him by actually becoming Shogun (Something Toyotomi was never able to do, due to not having been of the Samurai class) but also ruling as Shogun from the supposed ''Backwater shithole'' Toyotomi thought would be funny to send him to. Upon the Restoration, the Emperor moved his court over there (As per the agreement with the Americans), thus making it the ''Official'' capital of Japan... Tokyo.

But then I looked up mongal huts and they look very similar like really similar but I don’t know yet . So maybe it going to set in Asia and if you wanna know the location tell me. If you have odyssey
AC fans begging for a Japan era game combined with Ghost of Tsushima doing so well makes it hard to see why Ubi$oft won’t just do it. It would fit a lot better into the “assassin” lore than a Viking RPG with barely any connection to what made the series great in the first place
Assassin's Creed feudal Japan is officially confirmed. I hope it does have soundtrack like this, it is amazing to listen to It is in my offline videos for 3 years, I always listen to it
Ubisoft already has a japanese assassin in the present story who is an ex-member of the yakuza, they could use him as a subject to explore feudal japan with his ancestors. Ubisoft is missing a huge oportunity here.
Amazing track. By listening to it, you feel on your skin all the weight of honour and duty of Samurais, and the brutality of ninjas. Dude, I seriously hope Ubisoft offers you and Mikel (another composer Who made another wonderful Theme for a Japanese Assassin's Creed) a job, 'cause you guys totally deserve it.
@@zivivi32 I hope so my friend 😎. I think these two Versions complete each other, I'm in love with both of them! I'm sure that a cooperation between you two guys would be absolutely epic! Please keep up your amazing work.
Dude, that's frickin perfect. I have no words to describe the potential that an assassin's creed in feudal Japan has, and that should already be the theme, is so gooooood
Assassins Creed: Restoration (Here is my made up concept of the game) The story begins in Japan during Sengoku period, as warring clans struggle to gain power against each other. One particular individual named Hanzo Hattori, a famous samurai and warrior at the time, stumbles upon an artifact of great power which came from those who came before. Anxious about letting it go into wrong hands, Hanzo hide the artifact away in a secluded family tomb. Years later, during the period of Meiji Restoration the player takes a role of an assassin apprentice Washi Akihara who is raising in ranks quickly due to his gift which has enhanced his 6th sense (The eagle vision, not the one like Odyssey or Origins where you control the eagle, but the like in the previous games). Being an orphan on the streets, Washi ( who's name means eagle), is force to live a life of a thief, knowing every flaw of a rich and wealthy, which allows him to gain as much advantage in noticing weak spots and sneaking without attracting too much attention. Until his luck eventually led him in the Brotherhood of Assassins. While US and Europe take interest in Japan as a trade post and a puppet state. The Templar Order viciously and effectively looking for peaces of Eden across all of Japan. Their power have drastically increased as they established the emperor and took control over majority of Japanese military and economy. The only man who resist the new rule , is Saigo Takanaga, who is the legendary last samurai. Throughout the game, Washi continuously helps Saigo, until the moment of his inevitable death, which highly influences the empire. Turns out, Saigo is having a family key which looks like an artifact (similar to Masiaf keys in Assassins Creed Revelations). They later found out that Saigo Takanaga is a secret descendant of Hanzo Hattori, which explains how he got the key. They find a scroll saying that Hanzo did not actually hide the artifact (Ezio's/Shao Jun's box from AC: Chronicles China) in his family tomb in Japan. He hide it in Korea's northern mountains, which explains that he did not just randomly found it( player does not know until they find the scroll, which made for the purpose of player not knowing what the artifact is). Shao Jun send the box to Japan, in order to prevent it from getting into Templar hands. Until the moment Hanzo finds it years later. Knowing what the artifact is, and that the templars should not get it. Saigo gives Washi the key to a tomb where the box is located. That is the last time Washi sees Saigo. Tracking the artifact in Korea, Washi finds the tomb, which is the tomb of ancient civilization that we seen in previous games. However the templars noticed that Washi had left Japan, so they follow him until Washi defeats the main antagonist, destroying the tomb in the process. Realizing that the box is too dangerous to leave in Japan, and that it can endanger the brotherhood, Washi gives the box to the Russian Brotherhood, (which explains how it got in Russia in AC Chronicles: Russia when Nikolai and Anastasia found it). This is just my concept of the story, but let me know what do you think. The enemies can be the American Templars, as well as Imperial soldiers. Gameplay will highly focus on stealth, finally establishing a stealth mode which allows the character to sneak. Different ranged weapons are introduced, such as kunai knives, the shuriken throwing stars, as well as pistols and gunpowder based weaponry. The combat system will be completely overhauled, and will be different from the mess that was on Odyssey and Origins. These include: reintroduction of counterattacks, hidden blade combat, fast and heavy attacks. Also the character can disarm, break, or use enemy weapons. The enemies will use anything from bows to rifles. Also the social stealth is back again is slightly improved. Now the way character is armed, can affect the social stealth status, meaning the more armor and weapons the character has, the more likely guards engage in an open combat. The crowd will be dynamic and now serves as an actual hiding place and can destruct the guards, while you can sneak away. The character is harder to spot at night however there are more guards in the area where the target is. There are several minigames that are in the City area mostly populated ones. The map is not necessary gigantic like in Odyssey, but big enough to include the Imperial territory of Japan, and secluded areas, such as (Korean mountains). It will mostly focus on not making the world much bigger, but on making it feel much more alive. The NPC will have specific routines based on the time of the day. The hunting system is also reintroduced, which allows player to sell animal pelts and materials make some money that they can spend on better armor, or weapons. The herb gathering, allows player to craft poisons, or other enhancers that ex : increased time spent under water, increase damage for specific amount of time, increases the speed of sneaking for specific time and ect. The horseback riding comes back, also character can take on various transportation. Such include, ships, carriages, even trains. This is my concept, I really hope that Ghost of Tsushima would be something similar to this. Edit: for the main character. I'd like him to be as likeable as possible. But also I want him to be different from other characters like Ezio and Altair. So he would have a bit of both, he is very wise and intelligent, but also can crack a joke from time to time. But he is not perfect, and from his beginner time to his master time, he will eventually meet the change in character. Edit 2: The parkour has been changed significantly, it is no longer the mess it was in Odyssey and Origins. It is now resemble Unity, in its use of realistic animations, acrobatics and ect. Combined with Japans's unique architecture, and mountainous - forest terrain, it will make for an excellent use of acrobatics which can be improved with skill system that is also, no longer involves supernatural teleportation abilities. And all the mythical BS now limited to only the ancient civilization. That's it, don't know why they needed to add all that to AC, when they already had the established lore, because that only messed up things even more. But I guess we can dream.
Would be interesting, a member of the Order (from the European area maybe) is sent to establish some foundations for a new order after Japan was forced to open their ports, but the Templars also have the same plan, so now, this member has to go all around Japan, gathering allies and intel in order to either prevent or win a future secret war. (Being honest, if this happens, there must be Templars shinobi, stealth vs stealth)
And also to retrieve the three sacred treasures in Japanese mythology that are pieces of Eden, they are the Sword of Kusanagi(Sword of Eden), Yasakani no Magatama (an Apple of Eden) and Yata Mirror(A circular disc that is a key to the Isu Vault within Aokigahara Forest, which the entrance is protected by an Apple of Eden that is keep emitting energy to force humans to suicide in the forest before they can find the entrance.
Dude this is just too good! It sounds like a genuine theme made for a Triple A game. I really wish Assassin's Creed Japan was an actually happening game now. I love it
Assassin’s Creed: Meiji Setting- It’s the Meiji Era in Japan. A time of transition. Western powers have started to enter into Japan after centuries of the country being in self imposed isolation. Both Templar and Assassins enter into this land to seek previously unknown artifacts of Eden (say the three Regalias of the Emperor such as the sword grass cutter). They also try find out more about the Emperor’s family linage as they descend from the ancient civilization. Plot- The player will be exploring both the transitioning cities of Japan and the unruly countryside that refuse to except foreigners. Along the way they will meet prominent people of the Meiji Era such as the former Samurai now bureaucrats and rebels who try to hold on to their old traditions. They will also have to deal with both Templars and several Shinobi Clans who have managed to remain unnoticed until both Assassins and Templars discovered them while looking for artifacts of Eden, and now have a third faction to worry about.
Oh my God yes! We know in Japanese religion Shintoism that the Japanese royal family are descended from the "gods", what really it was, if you know you AC lore, it's the Isu civilization. It make perfect sense a great plotline.
I’m feeling this in ghost of Tsushima rn and I’m feeling it big. I love assassins creed but man have they swerved away from what made them, you know, assassins
notice how everyone in these comments are excited for the historic era instead of saying "Oh jeez i cant wait for the artifacts and precursor stories!". Still to this day i just want to play and live in an immersive world not held back by the stupid sci fi plot. Ubi, hear me out- remember abstergo was creating games in black flag? just do that as the plot... just say your a person playing the game please and abstergo are monitoring the players or something (off screen background lore). you don't need to always have the story be about someones ancestor.
I liked it as a rare occasion like in ac2 and Acb but after (spoilers) Desmond died it has no purpose and not tension. I don’t even know why they had it in black flag onward tbh.
No, I'm thinking that "shinobi" would what everyone would call the assassins. Just like how assassin's in Origins were called "the hidden ones", assassins would be called "shinobi". Instead, it should be called "Assassin's Creed Edo" or something like that
We seriously need a feudal Japan Assassin's Creed. They're literally the birthplace of ninjas which are pretty much Assassin's without the saving the world mission from tyranny. There was a game in Chronicles:China but it was just a side story PC game. We need a real AC game in Japan, not China. I would love to fight alongside some ninja Assassins. They could really have fun with the parkour of that game. They could include a lot of the experimental tools of that time too like in the Renaissance with Da Vinci. I'm just saying, I would buy it.
Jhowy 7112 don’t bother hoping from Ubisoft, they do what they think is right and then wonder why they’ve lost a lot of fans. Ghost of Tsushima looks very promising so 👍🏽👍🏽
@@tamorepringle8853 ghost of tsushima is set in the 13th century when mongol invade japan so i think ubisoft could set the assassin creed in the sengoku period which is 16th century
Ubisoft uses histories of different countries and make into the game. I guess they don't know much about Asia since most of their AC games are mostly in countries in Europe. They need historians of different continent if they want to make an AC game about the countries around other continent
As many of you, I hope for an Assassin's Creed taking place in feudal japan. We could name it Assassin's Creed Ronin or Assassin's Creed Rising Sun (this one is kinda better). But for now the previous leaks guide us to a Nordic mythology Assassin's Creed. Still hyped since I'm very interested in this mythology.
It is a no brainier that a assassin's creed game set in Japan would be a natural fit with all the techniques ninjas have they're are practically in the series already but unfortunately I think Ubisoft knows that so unless they get in a tight situation and need a guaranteed seller or run out of ideas we'll probably not see it anytime soon.
Late comment would love to see a AC game in feudal Japan although based off the last few assassins creed games I wouldn’t be surprised if we had the next AC title set during the period of the Roman Empire since both origins and Valhalla have notes left behind of Assassin presence during that time.
Just place it in the time period of the portugese arriving in japan, which would bring with them the templar order, and the assassins coming to japan from the chinese order, teaching ninjas about the templar order and their threat and you have an awesome already preset story, japan's history literally gives you a story on the plate.

Assassin's Creed: Destruction You are a young Assassin being trained by a woman who never told you her name. You and the Assassin go out on a mission to kill the emperor who is the Templar Grand Master. She is fatally wounded and asks you to go ahead alone to the emperor. You go and he forces you to hold the Apple of Eden. When you do you see the woman you trusted murdering your parents and kidnapping you. You stare at her in rage before charging at her and killing her. You yell at her, cursing at her, before she dies. 12 years later you are the emperor's most trusted Templar, and he gives you the title of Templar Master, the rank just underneath Grand Master. You are then ordered to hunt down and kill your former allies. The first target uses a biplane in an attempt to escape, but your biplane shoots hers down and kills her. The second target uses a boat, which you rob and burn down, killing him. The final one uses the Armour of Eden, a mech-like mechanical piece, in an attempt to kill you, only for you to use the Apple to control it and kill her. When you return the emperor is poisoned and his last decision is to make you Grand Master. He then dies. (Leave suggestions for what to add!)
A good era would be the Meiji era, where the other countries open up japan... assassin are fighting the foreigners that happen to be Templar, something along the lines like that, it brings conflict, and a lot of new ideas to the table, maybe not guns cause they had it in Sengoku jidai, but it would definitely bring more smooth conflict, at least in my opinion. it would also be really cool to see sengoku jidai as well though, i cant choose.
LordSwan a Meji Era Assassins Creed would be just Syndicate in a different place and culture. We’ve already explored how a game set in the historically modern era would take place

Assassin's Creed: Shin Sekai (New World) Japan 1875 Japan is being invaded by foreigners, commanded by Templars behind the scenes, but instead of attacking the lands, they attacked your culture and way of life. Your traditional ways of life as your ancestors once lived were being wiped from the face of the Earth. You were a samurai of the Tokugawa Shogunate, the last feudal military government of Japan. You remember the night when the shogunate along with the Brotherhood fell. The Templars alongside Western armies launched a surprise attack on the temple, however, the deadliest enemies were from within the Tokugawa ranks, as you were betrayed by some of your own Assassins. The Emperor was killed, backstabbed by the hidden blade, your father died by the blade the Creed was sworn to defend the innocent with. You alongside several Assassins and Samurais escape the temple, however, the Order did not, as you see the Temple burn up into flames and the Assassin's flag fall into the fire. In the present, years after the fateful battle. You wander through the streets of a foreign Tokyo, an uncanny resemblance. You are driven into depression and alcoholism, losing all the will to live, until you come across an advertisement calling for a security detail for a foreign ambassador coming to Japan, which you hesitantly accept. You are put alongside some foreign soldiers as you rode horseback through the foggy forests of the countryside. You are positioned next to the carriage that houses the ambassador, out of curiosity, you take a quick peek inside and catch a glimpse of the Templar Cross on the ambassador's chest. Upon seeing this, the fire in your heart boils, the blood in your veins were filling up with anger and rage as you are reminded of your past. But yet you keep forward, as once again the depression took over, and the shame of defeat clouded your mind. However, as you look forward, you notice the soldier in front of you dose off, his head drooping down like he was going to sleep. A nearby soldier rides up next to him and gives him a nudge, yelling at him to wake up. However, the soldier that had his head drooped falls over, hitting the ground hard. Everyone stops dead in their tracks as you pull out your lever-action rifle. The soldier that went to check orders his men to search a perimeter, but before he could finish his sentence an arrow goes through his neck, and he falls from his horse as well. Immediately, you along with everyone else dismount from the horses and scramble to find any cover. Some soldiers have begun to panic shooting blindly into the thick fog, only to be picked off one by one with arrows and shurikens, their screams being cut short. There were fifteen guarding the ambassador, and after only minutes only four stood. You ready your rifle, ready to shoot. You could only catch glimpses of shadows as they leaped from the trees, disappearing into the fog. A soldier pops his head from cover, trying to catch someone to shoot, only to be met with a shuriken in the eye, as he drops you catch a look at the shuriken. On the shuriken, was engraved the Assassin's logo, the symbol of an Order and family you thought was dead long ago. Suddenly, you look to your right and see another soldier slowly limping towards you, holding his slit throat as he reaches out to you, only to drop dead. The last two soldiers attempt to break a run toward the carriage, hoping to escape, only to look up and see a hooded figure leap down and slam both of their heads onto the dirt road. Upon seeing this, you muster to courage to stand up and face the assassin. The assassin sees you and draws his pistol, but before he could shoot you raise both of your hands up, and draw the hidden blade, using your other hand to pull out your necklace that held the Assassin's symbol. The assassin, upon seeing this, lowers his weapon and slowly walks up to you. The ambassador calls out from his carriage. "Are they dead yet?" You look at the assassin, and the assassin stares into your soul. "Yes sir, you can come out now" The ambassador jumps out of his carriage and sees the assassin, his face plagued with fear. He stumbles back and attempts to flee but is body blocked by another assassin. Soon you find yourself surrounded by assassins, all appearing out from the fog like spirits. However, another figure emerged from the fog, this time dawning the Master Samurai Armor, as he walks slowly towards the ambassador, terrified and kneeling begging for his life. The Samurai stares at him quietly. You walk up towards the ambassador and reveal his Templar insignia, which was being concealed by his jacket. The Samurai nods at you, and you take a step back. There is quite a bit of possibilities for a Samurai style Assassin's creed. Feudal Japan was constantly in the midst of power struggles between feudal lords to take the title of shogun. Since japan consist of multiple small islands, travel on a similar level of Odyssey is possible. Plenty of historical characters to choose from (although not giving them English accents would be a problem for Ubisoft (here's looking at you Nepolean Bonaparte)). While gameplay can return to its roots while still leaving room for growth: As an assassin feudal lord, you can expand territory like Ezio did in AC 2; brutal 1 vs many sword fights paying homage to Conner; amassing power in numbers against the minions of other feudal lords like Jacob and Evie did with the rooks. And yes, it may seem sorta stereotyped, but applying ninja-based mechanics would work perfectly with assassin's creed, using kunia or throwing stars to kill enemies silently, a kodachi for silent kills like with the Spear of Leonidas. Reading some of the comments; the types of stories available for the plot line an extraordinary.
We work in the dark to serve the light We are assassin Nothing is true everything is permitted I stand as of today we shall rise again Whoever likes my comment stand by me
This is my go at imagining an asian type assassins game. I don't go too much into it because I'm lazy, so I'll let you guys fill in the holes. (hue hue) Assassin's Creed: Dynasties You start off as a farmer boy/girl who's village gets shrekt by Triads or Yakuza (depending where you started off with). Growing up alone, you had a tough life begging, slealing, etc. You end up joining a gang and steal a boat, raid other boats, becoming like Woku pirates. Numerous successful raids across the asian seas, you get f#$ked by a military ship and left for dead in the sea. You are found by monks (shaolin?) who teach you their ways of life and their martial arts. The same Triad/Yakuza shrek the monastery and take you captive. You are in the brig on your way to be sold as a slave in China, when a shinobi (shinobi meaning "to conceal oneself", similar to Bayek's "hidden one") breaks in and saves another captive and agrees to free you (for whatever reason) The shinobi takes you to his village hidden in the creed (Naruto ref lmao) and teaches you the origins of the Assassins and ninjutsu or whatever. You are now a Master shinobi, feared by many as slashing templar figures left and right, shuriken has assassins symbol like Connors tomahawk. You assassinate templars in Tokugawa's "Dynasty". Maybe some history of the warrior monks? Deal with the Yakuza. Free the rice farmers or something. You go to China, climbing the Great Wall or something, and kill no jutsu some fool in the Ming Dynasty. Maybe a little history on how the wall is made with the dead. And that's that. Maybe add India with the Moghul Dynasty or whatever. Maybe some origin story with their religious groups. Gamplay: Like Assassin's Black Flag, you got a boat, you got a crew, and you got fking swaaaaaaag.
Let me know of any of your suggestion you might want to hear!

What ubisoft releases: Valhalla
What we expect:
Now, here's a little tidbit that people are already overlooking: as of the modern timeline in Odyssey, the Japanese Yakuza are allied with the Assassins. Or at least some are. The Yakuza was originally formed out of the lower tiers of Japanese society to defend against slash-happy Samurai who would get new weapons and basically take them out into the streets of Japan and "practice" on innocents. Just to see how the weapons fared. Just sayin'. A Japanese Assassin's Creed game could basically write itself.
That thing with the Samurais was not true. They faced judgment and could lose their house, their status, their honour and their life as a consequence.
So they adopted the name Yakuza as a means of poking fun at being the ''Useless/Bad hand in society.'' Where even leading up to WWII, there were Yakuza who would receive ridicule for branching out to other ventures, like ''What's the matter, are you so bad at running gambling that you have to find other ways to make income?''
So originally, the Yakuza were the gamblers (Bakuto) and eventually, swirled into other criminal organizations like the Tekiya and the Defenders/Raiders (You'll have to forgive me, as the terms for these individuals currently elude me), I'm guessing from the utter destruction to their nation and society as a result of their part in WWII... to comprise what we know of as the Yakuza organization, today.

Haha, no worries.
Tokyo.

Dude, that's frickin perfect. I have no words to describe the potential that an assassin's creed in feudal Japan has, and that should already be the theme, is so gooooood
Assassins Creed: Restoration (Here is my made up concept of the game)
The story begins in Japan during Sengoku period, as warring clans struggle to gain power against each other.
Oh wow!!; That's a detailed plot!!! Nice!!!

Would be interesting, a member of the Order (from the European area maybe) is sent to establish some foundations for a new order after Japan was forced to open their ports, but the Templars also have the same plan, so now, this member has to go all around Japan, gathering allies and intel in order to either prevent or win a future secret war.

There should be a choice to choose between shinobi or the creed

Setting- It’s the Meiji Era in Japan. A time of transition. Western powers have started to enter into Japan after centuries of the country being in self imposed isolation. Both Templar and Assassins enter into this land to seek previously unknown artifacts of Eden (say the three Regalias of the Emperor such as the sword grass cutter).

@@richhartnell6233 100% agreed.
As of today on ubiforward sep 10 2022, where they revealed ac JAPAN. Took them long enough.
Wonderful piece if they ever make an Assassin's Creed based in Japan it'll probably be called Assassin's Creed Shinobi
No, I'm thinking that "shinobi" would what everyone would call the assassins. Just like how assassin's in Origins were called "the hidden ones", assassins would be called "shinobi". Instead, it should be called "Assassin's Creed Edo" or something like that
@@michaeltheundeadmariachi4494 Actually true, yeah Edo or maybe Sengoku
Ghost of Tsushima looks very promising so 👍🏽👍🏽
ninjas were spies not assassin's, could they be called upon to perform an assassination: yes, but were they trained assassin's: no
@@tamorepringle8853 ghost of tsushima is set in the 13th century when mongol invade japan so i think ubisoft could set the assassin creed in the sengoku period which is 16th century
Ubisoft uses histories of different countries and make into the game. I guess they don't know much about Asia since most of their AC games are mostly in countries in Europe. They need historians of different continent if they want to make an AC game about the countries around other continent
we need 3A china setting of AC, better than Japan, who want to experience Japan can go play ghost of tsushima
This is nothing short of AMAZING!
Listening to this and at the same time thinking about Naoe and Yasuke. Thank you for elevating my imagination.
Its finally coming!!!
Finally! Yes!
Coming here after Ghost of Tsushima release
aaaaaaaaaaaaand we got assassin's creed vikings
It is a no brainier that a assassin's creed game set in Japan would be a natural fit with all the techniques ninjas have they're are practically in the series already but unfortunately I think Ubisoft knows that so unless they get in a tight situation and need a guaranteed seller or run out of ideas we'll probably not see it anytime soon.
Late comment would love to see a AC game in feudal Japan although based off the last few assassins creed games I wouldn’t be surprised if we had the next AC title set during the period of the Roman Empire since both origins and Valhalla have notes left behind of Assassin presence during that time.
Very nice
My title suggestion would be, Assassin's Creed: Dark Rising
Assassin Creeds The Last Samurai.
That’s ghost of Tsushima
Woow, Olivier! AC Project Red is coming!
Imagine Jin Sakai being introduced in AC feudal Japan
Apparently it's "Yasuke" LOL
SuckerPunch: fine I'll do it myself
Just place it in the time period of the portugese arriving in japan, which would bring with them the templar order, and the assassins coming to japan from the chinese order, teaching ninjas about the templar order and their threat and you have an awesome already preset story, japan's history literally gives you a story on the plate.
The Assassin's would be Ronins, versus the Shogun as the Templars and their Samurai.
@AndorinhaIberica I totally agree with you.
Do you know what a Ronin is anyway? Because I Dont Think Assassins Could Be Ronins.

I get goose bumps just Imagining the gameplay. I want it!!
Wouldn't it be an amazing surprise that Ghost of Tsushima was secretly an AC game all along?
Jin Sakai would be an amazing Assassin and that's how I played as him. I know fans wouldn't accept it and I can see that. Assassin's Creed set in Japan wouldn't be so bad after all.
So AWESOME man !!! Hear him Ubisoft !!!!!

Last samurai reference! Nice!

Right this way please... 🤣🤣
Me : an assassin's creed samurai version would never work. their style of fighting and honour would never let them stab someone in the back.
Lord Sakai : hold my poison dart blowgun
I can imagine a samurai themed AC,it could be a great idea
Assassin's Creed: Destruction
You are a young Assassin being trained by a woman who never told you her name.
Wow
And they have the Japanese assassin in Odyssey, I feel like he was put in to POSSIBLY make a Assassin's creed Japan. Would be amaze balls.
@@Cea_1 oh crap, you right,

Assassin's Creed: Shin Sekai (New World)
Japan 1875
Japan is being invaded by foreigners, commanded by Templars behind the scenes, but instead of attacking the lands, they attacked your culture and way of life.
"Are they dead yet?"
You look at the assassin, and the assassin stares into your soul.
"Yes sir, you can come out now"
The ambassador jumps out of his carriage and sees the assassin, his face plagued with fear.
In one clean swipe, the samurai slices off the ambassador's head lightning fast with his katana, the ambassador's head slowly rolling away. The samurai sheathes his katana and turns to face you.
You show him your Assassin's necklace. "Hoka no dansei ga mōmokuteki ni shinjitsu ni shitagau tokoro (Where other men blindly follow the truth)."
"Oboete oite kudasai, nani mo shinjitsude wa arimasen (Remember, nothing is true)".
"Hoka no dansei ga dōtoku ya hōritsu ni yotte seigen sa rete iru baai (Where other men are limited by morality or law)".
"Subete ga kyoka sa rete iru koto o wasurenaide kudasai (Remember, everything is permitted)".
Unaminous: "Watashitachiha kurayaminonakade hataraki, hikari o teikyō shimasu (We work in the dark to serve the light)".
Watashitachiha asashindesu
We are Assassins
The samurai bows down to you.
"Saigō Takamori, leader of the Satsuma Rebellion"
You bow down to him.
"Takeo, Takeo Taishō".
"For the Tokugawa, for the Order, for our fallen brothers and sisters. Are you ready to fight...Assassin?"
You look up to him and crack a smile.
"Yes".
Japanese Bender: Fine, I ll make my own assassins creed. With pachinko and geisha
yup now we want this time period and after that assassins creed wild west

This is my go at imagining an asian type assassins game. I don't go too much into it because I'm lazy, so I'll let you guys fill in the holes. (hue hue)
Assassin's Creed: Dynasties
You start off as a farmer boy/girl who's village gets shrekt by Triads or Yakuza (depending where you started off with).
You are in the brig on your way to be sold as a slave in China, when a shinobi (shinobi meaning "to conceal oneself", similar to Bayek's "hidden one") breaks in and saves another captive and agrees to free you (for whatever reason)
The shinobi takes you to his village hidden in the creed (Naruto ref lmao) and teaches you the origins of the Assassins and ninjutsu or whatever.
This is perfect ❤️
