Having fished multiple s in different sizes and colors, ruclips.net/user/postUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 this is by far my favorite. One thing to be aware of is the sided willow blade. One side is silver and the other is the green/orange shown. This is not bad, just unconventional. In terms of fishing, I have found the lure works just fine without a tail like a craw or shad. That addition is up to you. Also, the hook part where you attach the swivel snap or tie the line is a problem on baits these days, since it's able to slide up and down. However this lure seems to be tight enough that that doesn't happen often, and you can solve it by putting a thin slice of medical tube over the hook before attaching the line. Like others have said, it's really magic on a good windy day.
My son and I are just starting out making baits. I took your advice and went with lure staples like the senko and 7" ribbon tail. Once I finish off the first gallon I'll scoop up craw, frog, and grub molds to expand the selection. Stuck with three basic colors black, watermelon, and grape. Thanks for the attention to detail, once we start (soon i hope....shipping sucks) Im sure all your advice will put us ahead of the curve. Thank you for all your hard work and time man, you are truly appreciated.
Really glad you did all the sprues. Makes me feel really good about starting out with 2 gallons of plastic. I also found it really helpful that we got a before and after number for the purposes of calculating laminates.
new to your channel question is that just water to cool or do you add like oil to it i don't know nothing of this do you have too clean plungers is run and how do you do that
Awesome guest! Great content! The worms are a very cool color! Outstanding work with your open pour swim baits! I really liked the bluegill pattern and always a fan of the trout.
Hello, I am French, RUclips tracduction is not easy ... How many hours did you put in? Thanking you. Huge thanks for the video. Only at home can we find such fascinating videos!
Enjoyed this video. Usually, just fish a couple of colors. so this is good if to make with a few other people at one time. One question tho what temp did you set the presto pot on to first heat it up and then when you dropped it?
Cant get enough of the content! Thanks for sharing the knowledge and passion with us! Have you considered doing a sort of troubleshooting soft plastic video? Where you might show finished lures with issues and address problems that might be causing them? Obviously, you touch on these things throughout your channel but it might be a great video to put in one spot. Lots of issues someone could be experience and not know where to start to narrow down the issue. Thanks so much!
Hey what do you think of making a grape and blue grass grenade's with the rainbow hologram flake in both of the colors, because i think those would look like some really cool grass grenade's and whatever else you can think of for lures. Also why not have white pearl in the middle to separate the grape and blue.
hey, whats the best way to mix/stir the 1 gallon jug of plastisol by dead on without getting a crazy amount of bubbles? also whats the best way to get rid of bubbles with no vacume chamber? love the channel! crazy cool video!! great content!!
Hey do you sell any of your baits? I definitely like that color trick worm. I’ve been trying to find a trick worm mold but all the sites I looked at seems to be out of stock. I have a five gallon bucket full of used trick worms that I’ve saved, I’d like to melt them back down and make one combined color.
Awesome color on soft plastics. Ive got a question for you . I don't know if you remember the color of the solid Black with silver dust that renegade came out with in the 90's well they don't make that color nomore and I was wondering if u can make that color for me it was a curly tail worm . IT won me alot of tournaments bk in the day's my mom picked that worm and color for me when I used to take her shopping every paid day and she found this color by renegade lures and this was on a Friday and I went fishing to a lake I've never fished before I've always wanted to and I went there when i had my 2 BASS BOAT and I used that color and caught my biggest BASS ever for that year on that worm. GOD REST MY parent's SOUL.would love to have that color again what worms i had in that color was about 100 but long b hold they got stolen. And thanks I would deeply appreciate it.
Here I was thinking it was only 300! You do theses things so some of us makers don't. That's what I appreciates about you. Great watch Chris, how long did it all take you?
Love your videos! I need some advice. Who makes a good 6 inch swimbait mold that has a bulky profile? I want to make some goggle-eyes. What pigment colors would you recommend?
Thanks for the recommendation man. I couldn't be happier with how Raw Baits swim baits came out. Thanks for sending me his way. And you should give him a shout out in a video here and there
If you do this again, try splitting the gallon into quarters and make different styles of baits with each quarter. Then you can calculate roughly how many baits you can make of each style
So for those wondering if it's worth it, it is. Take away the cost of the molds for a minute as that is a start-up cost. A pack of 5 6" Senko worms at Cabelas right now is $6. That breaks down to $1.20/worm. I sometimes pay less than that per bullet for my gun and these are plastic worms. For a jug of Plastisol on Amazon, I saw it costed $47. He got 400 worms for $47. That breaks down to $0.11/worm. If you're a hardcore fisherman, it's worth it.
Could you just toss the runners and plugs back in the pot? Would they melt back that way and you get the most out of the gallon? Just asking because I don’t know and am curious about starting my own worm venture. Love your channel, Thanks!
You have inspired me to making my own plastics, and I have a question. How buoyant is the Dead on Plastics floating feather? A couple plastics I have in mind I want to have a buoyancy similar to zman baits. Your channel is such a good informative channel for bait making.
It is more buoyant than normal plastic that floats.. however z-man is actually a rubber elastomer, which I think has more float to it than any Plastisol.
Looks like a long night! And alot of 🍺 🍻 absolutely love waiting for your vids to drop..400 baits is crazy! I have been wondering about what you do with all your plugs and runners from your other vids?? Do they pile up on you?? And also have a color request for your....power bait jester sprayed grass..i think you will like that one bro! Have a great day all
Second, we should collab!
we totally should lol
That would be so cool
Yes do it it’ll be. Fire vid
So cute
can you reply, i love your tiktoks

Got worms??? What a mess of baits, thanks for watching.
@Calvin Bradshaw $30
How much would it be for u to make me a bag of custom shads
That's an awesome color combo. That has to be rewarding making your own soft plastics and catching fish with them. Good on you man.

I am getting into lure working and is that just a crockpot set on high!
Finally, someone did it now we know
👍
Exactly
I just retired on July 1st and I have considered doing this. Where would a beginner like me get the material and equipment I need to start?
Watch my "guide" video for all of that Information
Really glad you did all the sprues. Makes me feel really good about starting out with 2 gallons of plastic. I also found it really helpful that we got a before and after number for the purposes of calculating laminates.
Very awesome. Definitely brings it into perspective. Appreciate the awesome job.
Great vid I just started making my own lures because of your videos I don't have injection molds yet just one hand pour mold
new to your channel question is that just water to cool or do you add like oil to it i don't know nothing of this do you have too clean plungers is run and how do you do that
yes just water
Is that a 7 inch worm? (The 2nd and 3rd molds) If so could you tell me where you got the mold?
Love your videos! If I wanna get into remelts and make my own senkos, what is the bare minimum of what I need to get to start?
Same question
I want to make my own senkos, how much would it cost to starting making them? Just the basics
Hello I am from Brazil manufacture soft bait here we can not find paint to paint the soft plastisol baits, could you help me which paint to use?
Chris have ever thought about adding purple flakes to that mint brown??? I that give it little more pop!!
Sweet video , was wondering Where can I get this pot melter ? Thanks
What's the difference between hanging and bathing? This color always screams up north mid summer.
How long does it take for the baits to cool and be able to remove from the mold?
Is that just water you putting them in after removing from the mold or worm oil?
Where and how do you do the eyes in the softies
so what does putting them in the water afterwards do? help cure them?
Yes...sets them up and begins the cure
How do you get your baits to harden faster
Do you know any glitter website that offer a lot of different cuts and colors
Lureworks
Awesome guest! Great content! The worms are a very cool color! Outstanding work with your open pour swim baits! I really liked the bluegill pattern and always a fan of the trout.
thanks man
I need me some senkos in that color! Oh whoops, I mean “stick baits”. Great color and dang that’s a lot of worms
Haha true
What plastic do you recommend for starters?
Where do you sell your baits?
What r the sizes of your injectors?
My next plastisol will be dead on but now I’m using do it plastics plastisol and was wondering if u had any tips on cooking it
ndver used the do it
What works better a chest cam or a tripod because I’m trying to record also
depends on the style of camera

Hi mate. Calling from Australia. How do I purchase some of those paddle tails with the gorgeous color combinations?
Yes sir. Jettson Lure Eyes are the best!
Are the metal molds better than the plastic molds? Want to make plastics for myself as a hobby.

Love your channel!! I have started buying molds and other stuff. I have one? Do you need to lubricate the molds before you shoot the plastic in?
I never do and have good results
Do you sell these, and if so where can I buy some?
How long do you let your plastics sit in the water for?
I have the white worm blend and can't get the bubbles out😐
Isn’t there some sort of pneumatic tool for injecting to make it easier vs hand pushing ?
yes, production machines for large volume
Love your work mate some of those handpours are awesome 👍
Man that color looks juicy .. awesome video Chris 👊👊 I’m amazed of how many worms you can get from a gallon
Yeah it's a tooooon
Awesome just found your channel interested. Now I have to play catch-up great job. See you in the other ones.😎😎😜🤪👏👏👏✊

Dead On Plastix
Imagine the amount of remelts
It was a lot
Cool color looks a rootbeer color what kind of water clear or stained u would use it in 😃🎣
Here I was thinking it was only 300! You do theses things so some of us makers don't. That's what I appreciates about you. Great watch Chris, how long did it all take you?
Probably 3.5 hours total
The best baitmaker in letterkenny
Where are you located on FB. tried finding you. No luck so far.
Don't have an official fb page
Then how can I find you you on FB?
Love your videos! I need some advice. Who makes a good 6 inch swimbait mold that has a bulky profile? I want to make some goggle-eyes. What pigment colors would you recommend?
Angling ai 6" open pour swimbait
Thanks for the recommendation man. I couldn't be happier with how Raw Baits swim baits came out. Thanks for sending me his way. And you should give him a shout out in a video here and there
Yeah Richard is going incredible!! U will love his work.
@@WorldsWorstFishing I was just blown away with his 6in blue gill swimbait
@@WorldsWorstFishing they came in the mail on my birthday couldn't have been better

Definitely ready for some remelt vids.
Roger that
Your videos are super cool man. love that color, would make awesome frog!
Thanks buddy
Where can I order that melting pot ? Thanks
That's awesome. And man that was tiring for you as long as that probably took. Enjoyed the content.
Yeah exhausting
Why do you switch injectors each time
I'm disabled how much would it cost to get started in making soft bait's
Buy the do it soft essential kit for 78 and buy a mold for 40
Man I just got my gallon of dead on feather weight! What great timing for this vid! Great as always!
its good stuff

FUCK YES
ANOTHER UPLOAD
Hey, fellow bait maker here I want to buy some dead on plastics but dont know which one in best for just regular baits, nothing special.
OMG 1 gallon am i dreaming..lol
great video thanks mate
I bet you could make a cookie cutter for grubs and such for the dried plate from the bottom of the pot. Quick and easy.
These vids make me wanna start making my own baits
It's fun
Ditto curious on how u get your molds
Yep me too.. between wwf and marling.. i gotta try right but where to get materials and space lol
@@stanleyblackwell2066 angling ai are the ones I like the best check them out online
Why does your link in description go to DipYourCar?
I believe he uses their pigments
I rep their pigments..lots of other bait makers want high end colors
Could you just toss the runners and plugs back in the pot? Would they melt back that way and you get the most out of the gallon? Just asking because I don’t know and am curious about starting my own worm venture. Love your channel, Thanks!
they would..but they melt slowly and clog injectirs
When are those swim baits gonna be for sale they are 🔥🔥🔥🔥
So maybe 600 5" stick worms w/remelts? Seems like that is enough savings to buy another mold. Then another, then another. Ruh Roh! 👍🍺🎣
