Replacement arrived!By the way, I did forget to mention that the original lure did have a decent strike however as most anglers will attest you can get a hit ruclips.net/user/postUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 and fish will hang on and release lure. I used the replacement lure yesterday and ran thru a Shimano Waxwing, Kastmaster, Bobber (set to sink). I found the does run deep (I casting on the flats 3.5'). Make sure you adjust your rate of retrieve and rod tip angle (up) to prevent getting snagged on bottom. Used it a couple of times and action was very lifelike (looked like local bait fish for trevally), craftsmanship very good....however eyeball fell out. I asked for replacement and it is on it's way! It was very easy to change out treble to single inline hook.

Hey Chris! I’ve actually been using crayons for a few months now to color my baits for personal use! It saves on using the materials from my business and it really works out when you have that ugly green color from most remelts, to just chuck in a black crayon to dye it black instead of wasting all the black pigment! Good luck. And keep up the videos!

Amazing tutorial as usual! I am going to start lure making, have been watching as many videos, and soaking up as much info as possible so that I'll know exactly what I'll need when I start purchasing product. You have by far the most informative videos out there, and the obvious passion you have for lure craft is infectious, and makes me want to start making my own lures more than ever. This could be a way of getting by without having to spend much on pigments to start out, and pick up a couple more molds instead haha. Thanks again for all the great information you share with us, and please don't stop.

Having fished multiple s in different sizes and colors, ruclips.net/user/postUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 this is by far my favorite. One thing to be aware of is the sided willow blade. One side is silver and the other is the green/orange shown. This is not bad, just unconventional. In terms of fishing, I have found the lure works just fine without a tail like a craw or shad. That addition is up to you. Also, the hook part where you attach the swivel snap or tie the line is a problem on baits these days, since it's able to slide up and down. However this lure seems to be tight enough that that doesn't happen often, and you can solve it by putting a thin slice of medical tube over the hook before attaching the line. Like others have said, it's really magic on a good windy day.

This is badass lol if you buy one of those big boxes of crayons the color combinations could be endless would be a great way to do some testing before investing in higher priced pigments. I have a question do you use any scents on any of your plastics? Perhaps making your own and putting them on a couple and going to fish with them would be a good experiment.

Paraffin is the wax that is used in crayons and takes a long time to biodegrade. Now some are made with a wax made from soybeans which biodegrades faster. it would be interesting to see how each holds up in lures. (I believe the ones you used are of the paraffin variety). Interesting experiment... Let us know how they hold up fishing.
