This model seems to be prone to static shorting out the system. I am seeing this on clients with these models with integrated touch-pads. it seems it is able to short out the system with static buildup when you touch anywhere on the touch-pad or even the top brushed aluminum. Anyone else seen this issue with this model? Or any ideas where to use grounding tape to connect someplace that is likely the culprit?

This laptop is the best laptop i own. It tough, can survive being droped in tomato sauce (dont ask) and being dropped. Sadly the keyboard is wreck from the space bar being ripped off. need to replace kebaord

I have a Satelite S75t-A7215 and the graphics seems to be going out. How do I tell if it's a problem with the graphics card vs. screen? If it's the graphics card can be replaced, how and what is a compatable graphics card replacement?
this laptop is too old you do not want to replace the graphic card since that cost alot. you will be better off buying a new laptop. you is happening on the screen that makes you think there is an issue. you need to show that to me so i can see what the problem is
Hey I was curious if you know the max processor this laptop will support? I know its a socket FCPGA946 it comes wit ha decent one already 4700mq. But i was wondering if it will support 4930mx or even the HQ line. Whats the maximum processor ? Also the m2 slot for the wifi card , can you take out and modify the innard to fit an m2 nvme?
you cant do anything about the wifi card. the max is 4930 but then wont make much different. you will be better off buying a new laptop and selling yours. as the newer cheap laptops will most likely out perform your current
My laptop is a 75-B. I'm not sure what the difference is of the one here that you are working on, but my laptop does not have a back cover door to uncover the hard-drive or memory. But I need to replace the Thermal Paste. Can you please give me some advice or tips on how to do this. And is it safe for me to try? Thanks for any comments.
because hardly anyone will do it so i am wasting my time shoiwing it. since it is a danagerous thing to remove no one will do it. if you asking me about it then i recommend you not to do it
OPEN ME UP it a l75 s7140 type i think and i couldn't find screws that were forgotten as i think i taking them all out. I did find a cd stuck inside that fell out and idk how it got there or how long (prob from 2014). cd looks fine surprisingly.
OPEN ME UP ya and got corner up but now it stuck again lol. also accidentally also took the keyboard corner off the metal thing and plastic pieve for keyboard layout.
only the CPU is removable. since the laptop uses the INTEL HD graphics for everything beside special stuff like games you can replace this and it should work. i have seen many of these laptops with faulty nvidia gpus on them but you still can use them with the INTEL HD graphics
@OpenMeUpTec oh, i might be able to get an upgrade out of it too?! I think i have seen these were offered with a few different variations of the chip it has.
@@SkankRemix3 honestly it is better off just to bin it as it is too old. it is not worth anything and it is not worth fixing. the highest thing you can put in it was a i7 4700hq. this is what the one in the video had
@@SkankRemix3 this is a 15 year old laptop thats the issue. yes it might work and still do stuff you want. since it is old, other stuff will soon start to break inside.

when you remove it a part number is normal on the part
Should've removed the battery first, before opening and removing anything from the inside.
Not really necessary as it is annoying if you wish to test things when half disassembled

This is a pc not mac you can replace it with anything hat fits in the slot. Intel 7260 ac is around 20AUD which is really good

your laptop isnt worth much. i see it sell on ebay for around 400 to 500 AUD and if a screen cost half the price i recommend you sell it on ebay

this laptop is old so it used the old wifi cards which is pci. the newer wifi cards are m.2
