@@shmevanriceballz2857 so much phasing, missed step offs, late halts, late initiations, not together. Bad dress. Lots of leaning and telegraphing movements. Horn moves out of time. Not to mention the overall marching style does not look very sharp to begin with
Not 100% sure how SCV does it, but in high school we made it happen by having well cleaned and lubed valve slides that would move when the horns came up or down, and would click when they closed all the way. Sometimes you had to help with your finger too.
trumpetboss16 I shit you not, the snap is so powerful that the third valve slide kicks out and the resulting vacuum sucks it back in, making the click sound.
That mello solo marching has amazing posture and form
Definition of a marching android right there
He is the horn sergeant
@Augur Of Ebrietas is god
i could watch those horn snaps all day 😍
Same here, they're so cool to see!
These are awful. Not together at all. The only cool part is the clicking noise it makes.
@@prestonrice2901there not all together your right, but there all in time with their line
Crazy how they’re at the top of the activity yet there’s still minor mistakes here and there. It’s a truly demanding activity
they made storm troopers a real thing

I love their marching technique!

@@ez8308 It’s bent leg, looks much smoother than straight leg..it’s how you walk just styled..so I guess we all walk sloppy?
Good old fashioned m&m. Looks great and wins you DCI 2018! Congrats!
I just saw the final scores all I can say is don't bother they're here
Is that Mr. Hartwell at 1:51??
The guy with the black shirt.
Such a difference compared to your video in 2013
how do they get the click on the horns up and down?

You jam your tuning slide in on the up
Reps For Jesus *3rd valve slide
SamTheTrumpetMan your right that would look funny if on every horns up everyone reached for their tuning slide and jammed it in
So clean
Not really

For a corp that won it seemed like they had a hard time keeping straight lines. Not hating but just saying
Vanguard is not a form corps, they adhere to the field markings only, so if there is no field then....
@@thephantasticfool So you are telling me that they don't learn how to dress and cover and watch spacing?
@@ez8308 you’re already suppose to know that
@@Jon-kx3ut apparently they didn’t lol
@@ez8308 a lot of their drill was not 8 - 5 marching. They didnt have the memorize that interval because of how much running the performers did
Not good, the phasing in the marching is noticable.
