Finally - someone showing the iPhone mount with one of these inexpensive teleprompters. THANK YOU

Which teleprompter would you recommend if using the sony zv 1f, that has a very short lens, and not suited for anything to hang off it? Thanks!

Agree with guy below. I can’t believe you didn’t think to put the camera on the tripod and hang the teleprompter off front. Maybe.because I’m used to studio cameras where the camera is the mounted device not the prompter. In the industry we use a program called autoscript. Don’t know how available that is though.

Thanks guys, yes it is an alternative for the setup, and I did try it but you have the same problem. The weight of the glass in the teleprompter with its case is similar to the camera I was using. Same issue. Downward force on the lens. The new versions have a much better mount that supports both camera and teleprompter. If you use a mobile phone, no problem. Thanks for adding your comments I appreciate it.

Have you tried to use it with the camera on a tripod and just attach the prompter to the end of the lens? It would feel much safer

You can buy tripod extender mounts.

Hi Gary, excellent review! 👍🏼😀 This will be helpful for anyone creating professional looking videos, reporters on the fly, speakers at live conferences, students, etc. I’m guessing if one wants to use this on a Zoom meeting and they want to see their participants they could have another large monitor behind the teleprompter.

Thanks Chris, this teleprompter would not be the first choice if you wanted to use it for a Zoom meeting. May be a bit small and best choice would be a larger PC monitor.

    Hey Gary, great video!
Why wouldn't you just use your mobile phone and download a teleprompter app?
There are some great teleprompter apps, I use Evelize as an example.
I don't think it makes sense to attach your phone to LENSGO as then you need another device to display your script...

Yes, it does seem like a waste but you can notice when someone is reading a script off a device that is not inline with the camera. It looks a bit off. I guess that’s why news producers always use teleprompters so the reader is looking directly into the camera.

Gary, any suggestion as to how I could attach the teleprompter to a tripod with a smartphone video kit already mounted on it? Basically, so I can read the teleprompter, at the same alignment angle without the awkwardness of mounting the telepropter on a separate tripod?. Is there some kind of adapter thingy one could use? Thanks...

Not for this model. I think the later model has a better tripod mount. In saying that. This model does have a smartphone mount directly attached to the back of the teleprompter.

It is the free app that they suggest you download. Links are on the box. It is called TCQI.

Sharks, what is the diameter of your lens ring? It is written on the front edge of your lens.

Totally wrong 😂 The camera should be mounted on a tripod head and the plastic thingy (prompter) is hanging on the lens. Much less weight to hold

Friend, the teleprompter should be hanging out front, instead of the camera floating off the back... it's right there in the instructions. Otherwise a great review.

If you let the teleprompter hang on the camera, the auto focus on the lens will not work properly
