This is so great! What exactly do you mean on looking pass the camera? Talk me like a 2 year old LOL. I've been hosting fitness news segments LIVE going off the top of my head with intros and outs and reporting information. I do practice important information I want to convey even slightly memorized but it all comes out completely conversational, the studio crews were so impressed they kept bringing me back. So now I am covering from working in docs-reailty production over 20 years to on air host/anchor/ reporter. With practice, I know I can do this. I need to book you for a media training session.!!!

This is great! Thank you. I was just starting to figure out the point about looking THROUGH the prompter, but you've articulated the importance of this and explained it really well.

Great video, Phil! I purchased the Glide Gear 100, Teleprompter Premium app, and other necessary items. Couple questions before getting started. 1) What is the ideal distance between prompter and subject? 2) Should the prompter be eye level with subject? 3) Lighting. How important is it to have studio LED light(s) behind the prompter? I notice in some of these videos there is sufficient light on the set yet there are light stands behind the camera. 4) Audio. Is it best to use a lapel mic or a shotgun mic to capture best audio? Please advise. Thank you, Jim

VERY informative and concise video Phil.
    Presentation skills totally there.👌
Now….we’d all love to see videos on YOUR presenting skills ….?
Use of eyes/hands/vocal pitch etc was evidently natural.
