Is there a reason you didn't connect sooner? From my perspective you left yourself very vulnerable to getting cut off by Wanderer. And as the other road player, he had both the resources and the motivation to do so. I think it was a mistake not to cut you off, and he had it in hand a couple times.
He's not ranked top 10 for nothing! I went back and watched it after the game from his POV and it was really helpful to hear his commentary on what some of my moves should have been. Thanks man! 😊
Yep...I wanted to build up to extend and open a settle spot, but dropping the two roads to cut Hugh's connect would have given me a far better chance to win in the long run!
Haha no, no face-cam quite yet! I have thought about it but I've always wondered how it will affect the efficiency of my editing and quality of the videos. Maybe an idea for a milestone like 5k subs?
@ that’s a good point, I’d rather multiple games per video without a face-cam than only 1 game with a face-cam. People have a subconscious image of you already anyways hahah. I’m a huge fan btw, you’ve been part of my morning routine now every second day for the last couple years. Always a pleasure:)
hmmm.. very strange to city the 2-4-6 first.. you need sheep and wheat, you already produce the same amount of wood and brick... a bit unlucky with blocks and 7 out in the early and mid game..
20:32 That's the kind of trade you can't miss in your spot and you rejected right away. This going to red is insane.
Ggwp
Glad you picked up on the mistake at the end. Hugh still had to pull a lucly vp though.
gg brother. fun one! from your point of view the 6s going cold mid-late game in the road battle was unlucky. hope to rematch soon!

Gg man, thanks for the game! Watching it back on your stream after the fact was really informative too, keep up the quality content! 🙏
man that was painful... Live n learn
Hugh’s a legend! Saw this game from his POV. Love the content mate!

Why didn't you break his road connect instead of going to the top left?
Wanderer pointed out that was a mistake with text on the screen
Was the mistake where you needed to cut into Hugh's road?
Either way you played a damn good game - very close Mr Wanderer!

I thought by the thumbnail that this was going to be a face reveal video hahah! What are your thoughts on getting a face-cam?

My thought was to increase my ability to build roads faster, and I was hoping not to incentivise the 10 wheat block too much!
Painful to watch. Low quality board
