Decorte is a luxury Japanese brand (from Kose). Kose (pronounced kosay), Shiseido, and Kao are the main cosmetic co's in Japan. Kose also own Jill Stuart Cosmetics and Addiction. Kose also recently took majority ownership of Tarte Cosmetics. Just FYI.
Kosé makes my favorite hand and foot cream. I've tried to replace in with something available in the US, but apparently it's something I'm going to have to order in from abroad forever.
The Fenty Eaze drops finally gave oily skin types a legit skin tint that doesn’t slide off lol! I am so obsessed with it, but I knew immediately that Skin Tint enthusiasts wouldn’t like it lol. It’s not hydrating at all like traditional tints.
This is the exact reason why I would definitely give this skin tint a try at some point. Past skin tints I've tried never did a thing for my oily skin. I mean, they were all right, but eventually, I would end up with basically nothing on my face.
I didn’t purchase it cause I love skin tints and have dry skin and everyone who liked it had normal to oily skin. In general Fenty isn’t geared toward the dry skin types. Which is cool, everybody needs somethings.
i promise i listen to every word you say but i absolutely love when you have flowers and candles in the background - it’s just so understated relaxing to see that as i play your vids while unwinding at the end of the day 😘 also this look - effortless chic and artful!
I’m the opposite of your thoughts on the Chanel blushes! I feel they are more finely milled and apply so much silkier. I had the old formula and was never impressed until I tried the new formula. I feel they melt into the skin and last all day. After trying one i had to buy two more. Very impressed! Sorry they didn’t work for u Michelle, but I guess everyone has different skin and preferences.
I had the same experience with the Sublimage foundation. I thought I was losing my mind. Glad to see you felt the same way. It just sat on my dry skin and never looked nice. I still love their Le Beige foundation.
Fenty products have always favored oily skin in the first iteration of a product launch. They understand undertones like no one else in the industry (olive undertones stand up!). I am hoping they add more shades and more brands offer sheerer coverage for combo/oily skin. The NARS tinted moisturizer is a staple.
OLIVE TONES FOR THE WIN. The soft matte foundation has my exact shade AND tone and is fungal acne safe I CRIED when I brought it home and it looked so nice.
I’m a little older than you, but similar skin type, and I had not so great looking skin days with the Fenty so I returned it as well. And I also agree with all you said about the Merit highlighting balm, which I also returned. So glad you made this kind of video, and mentioned the alternatives!! 🌺
Omg I love that Kevin Aucoin skin tint! I have large pores, dry skin and it makes me glow!! Thanks Michelle for all of these backups too ☺️ you really do such a great job!
It's so helpful to be given a couple of alternative products which did work for you. Kevyn Aucoin skin sensual enhancer is what I'm wearing these days as a skin tint/ very light foundation. I think yes, that other KA skin tint product is discontinued.
I have not being using the lamer skin tint for two years. I bought it again a few days ago and I remembered why I loved it so much. Its so smooth and hydrating and the finish is out of space. The perfect one. You may only have issues if you have very oily skin.
I bought the original formulation of alezane because of you and do agree with your assessment of these new blushes. The new alezane just looks drab on the swatch. Who wants that? What works consistently for me is from Chantecaille, whether it be skincare or makeup. Enlightening video, Michele!
For once there is an advantage to living in Australia and getting all the old stock. I ordered 3 Chanel blushes! Ooh, you reminded me of my Kevin Aucoin at the back of my drawer, I gotta bring it into rotation.
*The great thing about baked powders is that they started their lives as creams and were then baked, so most apply very creamy on the skin. Pressed powders were always powder so they tend to have kicked and be overall much less soft. I also prefer baked blushes.*
I could keep your videos playing on an endless loop you are so incredibly informative and at the rate I purchase makeup (which is admittedly way too much) you have become my go to! So extremely helpful, I’m super appreciative!
Luckily for me, I watch reviews and yours especially, as you have similar skin to myself. This means my mistakes are now far and few (should've waited for reviews before buying the latest ND palette). Huge "thank you" for each and every review. This was amazing Michele, I hope other YT's pick this up. 💜🌟💜
Nearly everything for the face from Charlotte Tilbury - the foundations/powders all seem to make me look older and craggier. Very expensive mistakes, as we can't return items here in the UK ☹ps I recently bought the Nars tinted moisturiser based on your experience with it and I'm in love 😍
I always love listening to your recommendations! Though I actually love the new Guerlain KissKiss lipsticks - I don’t mind the scent and the formula is superb :)
Can you do a video about shopping on selfridges? I want to do the shipping deal but am not sure what I will buy/ benefit from being able to get. Thanks!
I love that you provide alternatives and how clearly talk about why the product didn’t work. Also I am obsessed with ilia mascara and em cosmetics mascara. They are amazing 🤩
They still have the “new” Chanel Blush formula & the “old” Chanel blushes on the Nordstrom app. I filtered it for “face, eye, and lip” makeup . The older baked blush comes up first and the new blush second. Macy’s also has the two divided . I put in “Chanel” and on page 2 is the old better baked formula blush and the 3rd page has the new Chanel blush formula. I bought a week ago the old formula blush for Rose Initial on Nordstrom’s app and got the old baked formula as I wanted and as shown on their app. Hope that helps!
@@karataylor3434 I did it another way on Nordstrom. I go to Chanel and then hit Sort and select Newest. This will put the new formula on the first page. The old formula is like 3 pages in.
I’ve actually had great success with the Guerlain Kiss Kiss Bloom Shine in Petal. I have super dry lips, and this feels and looks great on me. Love your channel 😎
I just loved and love the Chanel Serum foundation! I am also a fan of the original Chanel Sublimage cream foundation (in the jar). I love having foundation in a pump however. I found this to work on my mature, dry, dehydrated skin very well. It is my top favorite foundation at the moment. Sorry to hear that did not work for you Michele, but we are all different and have different skin types and needs. If every product worked for everyone that would be kind of weird. What do you think?
Have you tried the LYS beauty serum foundation? Wow it's amazing! Only problem is most of all the light shades are sold out ever since they launched in sephora. It's one of the most affordable brands in Sephora.
I’ve been really interested in trying that foundation, I’ve heard so many good things about it, but yeah, I’ve been on the waiting list for a while now for a lighter shade.
Another alternative to the Chanel blush could be Bourjois little round pot blush, it apparently has a similar baked formula and finish. I own one and highly recommend them.
I had the exact same experience with the Fenty Eaze Drops. I’m so jealous because it looked amazing on a lot of my friends. It gave me texture I didn’t even have!

I’m so happy that I purchased the old shades elegance and orchid rose in the baked formula from selfridges and Jersey and alezane in the old pressed formula. 🥰🥰
I purchased the Chanel 5 couleurs in Soft Cashmere during the sale based on your recommendation and I absolutely love it. I think it’s the best palette I have ever purchased. I also purchased the Ilia mascara and I love it as well.
I’ve just discovered your channel (this is the second video I have watched from you) and your videos are great! Really informative, clear and intentional. Thank you so much for taking all the effort ♥️
I have read that Chanel had to remove an ingredient based on a new french law, and then they are trying to accommodate “clean beauty.” Guess they have to go back to the drawing board. Love EM cosmetics.
Too bad they decided to put coconut oil in some of their products. That's why I stopped buying Chanel for awhile, except for the liners, lipsticks and shadows. I still need to check on the powders for any added ingredients that would cause me to breakout.
@@tineegonzales7365 coconut is not the worst, they add beeswax in powder products🤦🏼♀️ do not know what for, but i am allergic to honey, bees, beeswax so i cannot use these products... i have to be very careful with mascaras, lipsticks and so on but i never knew that beeswax can be used in powder😯 until Chanel.... now i have to be even more careful
@@viviennejung1546 Coconut oil breaks a lot of people out. My skin is ultra sensitive and reactive so I'm hyper vigilant abt checking ingredients lists before buying new products and I've known for years what ingredients irritate my skin...except for coconut oil. @@julias8763 Oh.. I wasn't aware they put beeswax in their powder products. Was this added as part of their reformulation, or it was already there before?
I didn’t love the Fenty either. I have skin like yours, very sensitive and dry and I’m in my 50’s. I just found Code 8 Radiate balm and i love it!!! It’s light and thin, gives a hint of color and just does this magic thing on the skin. I absolutely love it!
Michele - what brush are you using in this video to apply the EM Cosmetics blush? I need something new - and very soft - to diffuse very pigmented products. The one you are using looks like the perfect size. Thanks in advance :)
I had the same experience with fenty's ease drop. My skin looked perfectly fine before, and when I applied it, it looked awful. Unfortunately in Greece we can't return products so I might give it to a friend.
Ive never met a Chanel foundation that worked with my dry skin. On the other hand, every Dior, By Terry and Giorgio Armani foundation work beautifully for me.
Hi Michele! Love your videos!!! What about the Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer? The La Mer Tinted... is it a thinner consistency than the NARS one, which is what I prefer. And is there a shade in the La Mer one for NC35-42 skin?
I bought the guerlain meteorites in the lightest shade about 2 months ago. It’s probably the makeup item I wanted to try for the longest and I decided to treat myself. I wish I hadn’t, it’s so glittery! Such a waste of money ☹️
One of my favorite drugstore products is the Milani Baked blushes, I’d recommend for people to try those as an alternative to the Chanel ones. They are so beautiful and come in many shades. I also don’t enjoy fenty base products so I haven’t tried the skin tint. Plus it seems like I’d be in between shades 1 & 2.
I mix the Fenty Eaze drops with Auric glow lust (Selenite) and that combo looks fantastic on my dry skin. I always prep with a serum and moisturizer before I put anything else on so maybe that helped the Fenty work for me.
Honestly my favorite blushes are from Moira Cosmetics signature ombre blushes. They are super pigmented and extremely unique. Yall have to check them out PLUS they are only $9!
What about Sensai products? The brand is quite popular in Europe. And they have been selling the 38 Mascara for a long time! It's also a "tube" mascara, so convenient! 😍
LOVED the by terry foundation! tried a tester on a 16 hour flight and it didnt crease or smudge or move around! i also didnt feel like it irritated my skin or felt like it sat on my face, it felt amazing
Agree on the Sublimage foundation. I have the original one. The cream in the jar and love it. But the new one just sits on top of my skin no matter what I do. Primer no primer brush. Itt just does not work for me.
The only Fenty products that have worked for me (I have dry skin) is their lip gloss, gloss bombs which I LOVE, and I also like their cream blush. I am so so sad I slept on the Chanel blushes... I don’t know why I put off picking up and trying the previous formula 😩😭 Le sigh.
@@karlaschmid8757 I've got eczema and I'm dry so I was so surprised. What I've heard a lot is that people are using too much skin care underneath it. It's supposed to simplistic not used with primers etc. I use my moisturizer slap in on and go. It performs perfectly through my entire workday. I've been receiving a lot of compliments as well lol
I have oily skin and same problem with the fenty tint.. separated and cracked? Around my face and it’s weird cause I love moisturising foundations or/and lightweight coverage. I’m not sure if my skin type changed but it also happened with the PMG foundation tint...
Thank you for this video! Sometimes it's nice to get confirmation that yep, a formula changed, and I'm not just crazy! When I checked Chanel.com/us this morning, they had "new" versions of the Joues Contraste blush, with 14 shades available, white C on the packaging; and "exclusive" versions, featuring two shades and with the red C on the packaging. Both versions have Alezane, and the colors are DRAMATICALLY different. I am guessing the red C "exclusive" shade is the old version? They still had some in stock, but wow, it's so weird and confusing of them ...

try the bobbi brown serum i think you will like it
The only Fenty products that have worked for me (I have dry skin) is their lip gloss, gloss bombs which I LOVE, and I also like their cream blush.
I am so so sad I slept on the Chanel blushes... I don’t know why I put off picking up and trying the previous formula 😩😭 Le sigh.
I saw plenty reviews on the ABH Iced Out Highlighter Michele and no one had a good word to say about it, so you are not alone.🥰💜
👍🏻
Awesome video! Love your bracelet. Please share the designer.
Great video, really nice that you give s better alternative. Going to buy a lighter foundation soon so I am eagerly waiting for your video. 🤩
Fenty skin tint is amaze balls 😩 a tint finally done right especially for melanated skin
My skin has lots of melanin, but it is dry and mature and yours looks youthful and maybe not dry?
@@karlaschmid8757 I've got eczema and I'm dry so I was so surprised. What I've heard a lot is that people are using too much skin care underneath it. It's supposed to simplistic not used with primers etc. I use my moisturizer slap in on and go. It performs perfectly through my entire workday. I've been receiving a lot of compliments as well lol
I love the new gucci lip shines uugghhh so good. I have all the nude like colors and they r so different from each other.
love the review and also love the flower taste of kiss kiss guerlain balm 😂 but i knew you wouldn't like it ❤
Michele, have you ever tried the clé de peau setting powder?
Yes in her 2 or 3rd 5 fav products video! 🙂
@@terra_82 thank you!
I use Chantecaille mascara fab on me anyway, and I love all Westman Atiler products xx
Love your eye look today, which shadows are you wearing?
Oh, the red packaging was part of a collection where they re-promoted those blush shades. I don't quite remember which season though. Maybe Spring?
Hi Michele, I'm trying to order a Sonia G brush for eyeshadows! Could you recommend one/a couple?😆😆
