I like how Eric makes difficult stuff look easy and how Cole makes easy stuff look difficult.
Aldous Abad It's simply because of the technique. Erick has a very good, efficient technique - very small movements. While Cole ist just making very big movements to show off :D
Para Tino or its just how he plays.... Everybody has a different style of playing. Maybe big flashy movements is natural for him
Of course there are personal preferences and I don't wanna tell anybody the excact way how he has to play but in generel it's best to make small movements.

Something that I find fascinating about Eric is that whenever he plays, it always looks like slow motion, although it might be the craziest shit I've ever seen. Such a relaxed techinique and always smiles while playing, I love that!

At 1:58 he does this sweep at the end of the solo, before heading back to the main riff and he does it so fast, you almost don't catch it.
You have to go back till about 1:55 to fully appreciate the context.

It's surprising how different two players can be, both amazing guitarists but Eric's minimal movement really proves his experience over Cole's impressive show playing

Tom Linton That was obviously someone who hasn't watched very many of Eric's videos. Is Cole talented? Yes, very much so, but he tries too hard to make it interesting to watch. Eric, on the other hand, is obviously a more experienced and superior musician. Eric's movements are all very smooth, natural and effortless; his natural talent and classical training are evident in this fact. And, again, Eric doesn't force smiles.
i prefer eric, his camera angle lets me watch his fingers
cole's is nice but i think he's a bit flashy.
Both ridiculously good players but Cole makes it look harder than it is, might just be his playing style and rhythm controlling the way his fingers move but he uses a lot more movement than most guitarists. Can't complain about it though, flawless playing. Absolutely phenomenal.

Guy knows how to make his playing look superhuman just with body language, props to his showmanship.
Cole makes easy shit look so complicated with his spazzy movements. If Cole was the only guitarist left on the planet, I would of given up on guitar a long time ago, because he makes everything look like the most complicated shit in the world, whereas Erock makes really hard shit look effortless.

WARNING: I should have taken down my Christmas tree before listening. After I listened to this, my tree turned into a wooden, pine scented dragon that I rode into the city. Unfortunately the military freaked out and shot my dragon tree down with me on it. I was sent to an unmarked military base where I was questioned vigorously. Once I played them this video, their tree in the room also turned into a wooden dragon. In the end, the dragon destroyed the base and I was able to escape. While walking away from the base I found a signal on my smart phone. I had to post this as soon as I can on this video to warn people of the potential danger here. Be careful! This song has some serious power to it! Hundreds have already died because of it. If you plan to listen to this, DO NOT do so near a Christmas tree!

Aspiring guitarists take notice to the fact that these guys do not have their instruments hanging down below their hips. That's because in order to play things like this your instrument must be in a position where your fingers can reach all the frets. But if you wanna just jam out three-chord progressions without the hassle of practice and focus, that's cool, too.
I hang my guitar pretty low so blood flows down my picking hand easier.

I been looking for this song.
he exaggerates the movements so much! I played this song a couple years ago in a concert and it didn't look half as hard when i played it.
Playing a whole lot of notes as fast as you can doesn't make you a good musician, it only shows you put in a lot of hours practicing scales, sweep picking, legato etc.
Didn't like this at all, sure it's technically skilled but it's horrible to watch and listen to.
I would have preferred a Eric ft, some/no Cole video although I think as a whole this isn't a good interpretation of the canon so many guitarists have played before and put on youtube. It's over the top, and lacking dynamics.
You're obviously very experienced with music, so you should upload a video of your work, and then we can compare the two.
take some music classes bro, the amount of skill that just comes with practice alone, gets one a long way, thats why you fuckin practice.
