- Cole Rolland makes his debut on EMGtv with his take on a classic melody. "Canon Rock" features fellow internet sensation and RUclipsr, Eric Calderon (E Rock) for a solo on his seven string guitar. Cole is using the EMG 81 in the bridge and EMG 85 humbucker in the fingerboard position. Eric is using the EMG 81-7 and 85-7 guitar pickups. Watch as two shredders collide on EMGtv. I don't think it's the gain that's the problem. It has that cheap tinny direct sound. Either no speaker emulator or poor emulation.
Yeah coles tone was definitely not great. Eric’s was totally fine though

Pachelbel wrote the most popular wedding melody of all time, and Jerry C turned in a masterpiece arrangement that every other guitarist is basically playing a slight alteration of when they play Canon.

Why impose a personal tone preference on a performance when it's entirely subjective and more than likely based on where the guitarist happens to be performing and how well he can hear himself?
That'd be like a painter going to an art museum and critiquing the art of others by the way he personally paints..
Might as well just appreciate the "tone" as a part of the performance instead of filling the comment section with two cents on the "brush strokes"
***** btw.. I play guitar (8 years now).. never can recognize when tone is bad.. unless it noticeably takes away from the delivery of the performance..
@@SecretEyeSpot His tone isn't perfect it sounds too harsh and unpleasant for my ears especially compared to other lead tones it's also too loud in the mix but if you like it it's fine. There is a reason why the tone is getting alot of hate.

It wasnt rollands fault. I guess its to the person who sets up the audio or whobis in control of the audio. It happened a lot to jerry c's live perfirmance.

i remember spending months learning this song when i was 18. i eventually got it all down pat, sweeps in all. great songs. i just wish you would of played cleaner. but if you did this live and only give you 1 try i can see why

it's not the level of distortion, it's the amount of saturation I have a problem with. But other than that he is a very exceptional guitarist. awesome cover
His tone may not be the greatest but I still think he's a killer guitarist
