I have been looking for a WD21 for the past 2 years and these videos are incredibly appreciated. I am not very mechanical, but your explanations and visuals are extremely helpful. So is your self-deprecating sense of humour. The fact that you admit mistakes makes your video series even more appreciated and makes it a must watch for me. PLEASE keep making videos about the WD21. When I get one (fingers-crossed), I will be rewatching your tutorials! Thank you.
Thank you very much!
Love that these old trucks are getting more popular, I got one and wish there was more aftermarket parts for them.
Yeah, me too
Thanks for the good detail on door card removal. No one else seems to mention it, and I didn’t want to destroy my mint ones.
Jeez that red starion/conquest in the back is beautiful
Thanks. It's the Starion version and it has 48k on it. I have a couple of videos on my channel featuring it.
Great DIY video. I am betting can’t be many videos on these vehicles!
No, there aren't many. For whatever reason, the videos don't perform very well either. Probably just not enough demand.
@@ProjectTimeGarage probably not too many of these. I will also depend on what kind of fixes people are looking to do.
Could you post a link to where you found the seals? Especially the felt seal along the bottom edge, I have not been able to find those. Thanx
I searched for Nissan D21 Weatherstrip on Ebay. Found plenty that way.
So glad you made this video. I have a 1992 XE that I’m trying to “restore “ on a budget and all my trim has shrunk especially the moulding around the rear windows
Yeah, mine is too. I've considered just cutting it out.
Just got one in nz. Love mine. Perfect imforming video 👌
Thank you!
Great video, about to order these seals for my '86. Cheers!!
I think you'll like them - Just a little tight on the windows at first is the only real hurdle. Mine have settled in now and work well. Good luck!
I love my 93 SE white 4x4. I swapped a 3.3 Xterra motor in it and it rips!! I encourage you do the same
Cool idea.
Dude, that sound awesome. Did the motor drop right in or did it take custom motor mounts?
i very mush enjoy these trucks!
Me too. Very reliable and simple.
Bro u are the best thanks alot!
Can u put a link how to get those i want to buy for my path. Or the exact name wt i need to write so mabye i can find them in amazon here in dubai
Thanks. I ordered them off eBay - I searched Nissan Hardbody Window Seals.
@@ProjectTimeGarage thx alot
Did you manage to find the rear belt mouldings?
No, I sure didn't. I ended up selling it about a year ago.
Do you have a link for the belt molding?

This is the one I ordered.
Did you notice any gaps with the new seal, where it meets the horizontal seal against the door, where water can come in? It looked like you have one at 17:20 (look at lower left). I have this issue with new seals on my D21 - I used an OEM window seal (top and sides), but the channel (which runs across the door horizontally) is a reproduction. It seems like I have a major design issue somewhere, as I can pour water against the window and it drains into the inside of the door.
Yes, the new dew wipe is slightly shorter. I ended up sliding it toward the rear of the door so it wasn't as noticable. I'd say overall it's less than 3/16" gap.
@ProjectTimeGarage thanks for the reply (and the helpful vid). I hope you found the skunk. :)
@@RockoS13 LOL, yep!
Man the stupid belt moldings are 80 bucks each!!! I need like 3 of them lol just picked up a wd21 with 156k miles. It’s in great shape but the damn seals and moldings are messed up. Wish they didn’t cost so much
Yeah, they are a bit pricey for sure
How big a deal is it if water leaks past that outer straight window molding down the inside of the door frame? I have the door panel off and I can see water trickle down it running a hose and see the aftermath after it rains (truck cab is a skeleton right now; its just sitting). Kinda pisses me off I spent like $250+ on that kit from Thailand and it leaks.....but don't if its 'ok' for it to leak past or not given theres that visqueen moisture barrier that peels off. I even cut a piece off of the old window molding and siliconed it to the new to close the gaps because the molding is like an 3/4" short just like yours. Didn't matter.
There are supposed to be drain holes in the bottom of the doors for that water do drain out. Most vehicles are the same way.
Hi, can you send the link where I can buy the hold rubber, for the windows repair of my pathfinder 1996, will appreciate your help.
I actually found them on Ebay - searched for window felts for a hardbody D21 truck
@@ProjectTimeGarage Thank you very much.
Hey I need to find powersindow fuse or relay all of my windows stopped working I have no power to the switch cannot find another firebox beside one under left side of steering wheel
Please help me
Приезжай в Сибирь, тут их много 😅👍
Yes, I've heard they are common over there.
Me: no, upside down, no! the other side, no no that side, the other!
BTW, can you share the link for the water striping?
I don't have the link any more, but I found it on Ebay. I searched Hardbody Weatherstrip.
Something lighter for lube should work better I would guess on the slide
Yeah, probably should have used machine oil or something like it.
@@ProjectTimeGarage Silicon spray is the go
Do you have a link for the window rubbers please?
I don't but I found them on Ebay. There are are lot of options out there.
I live in the UK so these trucks are pretty rare here, so struggling for parts
Why with Mitsubishi station or conquest
It's a 1988 Mitsubishi Starion. 47,000 miles. I have videos of it on my channel if you want to see more.
I think I put a window motor in it.
You put one in in, and I broke it. Sounds right.
Is there a reason that your Tennessee flag is upside down??? You should fix that.
GOOD catch. I actually have remedied it since that video was made (about a year ago). I didn't even notice it at first.
прикольно!
