I agree with one of your viewers in that - you expressing how you respect and admire Rob is very enlightening. Most Filipinas can not express themselves in a 2nd language as well as you. I wonder if women of the Philippines even can recognize how they feel as women what more have a clue about what a man feels or aspires to be. Country's/ cultures and economies, social expectations, world knowledge/ experience and last but not least - education have a lot to the make up of a man. You put a expat from another land and stick him in the Philippines and all of a sudden - place a ton of restrictions on him, strip him of his indoctrinated Rights and what you'll have is one scared, confused man.
Plus the fact that we are retired and supposed to be on a downward slope.
Personally I don"t see Filipinos with much to offer in regards to what I"ve mentioned.
I am who I am and I don't see me changing much to adapt to this country. I seem to get myself into trouble ( as far as how others perceive me ). I'm somewhat a perfectionist, appreciate the finer things in life, don't think task need or have to be done several times to get it right, things that are common sense to me seem to offend others. So tired of giving local guys the benefit of the doubt ( especially when they claim to be experts or professionals ) and turn out to defraud you.
I hope I will make it here and find someone like you. I have more time behind me than ahead and I'd just like to be happy, and seek peace.
A relationship isn't a community event. It is between two people, and to be fair, everyone else should just fluffy duck off.
Wouldn't even be bothered feeding the haters.

When I was a young police officer, I presented an ironclad case before the court, that I had worked very hard on.
In response, an unscrupulous defense attorney did not attack my work, however, he attacked me personally as there was nothing else he could do.
I took this attack personally and it bothered me terribly to the point that I had lost much peace in my life.
The judge in the case was very wise and experienced. He later called me to the Judges chambers and gave me a bit of advice that I have never forgotten.
He said; “Bob, you have great potential, but if you were going to make it in this line of work, where you are exposed to the public, you had better grow elephant skin”. (which is 1” thick)
That advice has served me well my entire life.

When you're successful and in the public eye, attracting trolls is almost inevitable. In a twisted way, it's a sign of success-albeit a dysfunctional one. I don’t think anything you say will change the minds of trolls, but the love and respect you both share is blatantly obvious so there is really no need to say a thing.
Here in the West, 45% of first-time marriages fail, often with women both pushing for marriage and initiating divorce. Many of us come from broken families. While the GDP of the US is higher, and the standard of living is elevated, what about the quality of life, happiness, or how we treat our seniors?
A number of us, both men and women, have been faithful yet were treated poorly and/or left. I understand the frustration, anger, and resentment. I could easily become a troll myself. I share some of those concerns-not for you two, as you've clearly made it, but for myself. Would a Filipina I theoretically meet really love me, or would I just be seen as an ATM?
Trust is difficult, especially after being burned. The question is, what am I going to do about it? Clearly, doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results is insanity. One answer is that being single is far better than being in a bad relationship. But perhaps there’s more-much more. You two are living proof of that. To what degree am I willing to let my fears of what could go wrong limit me and keep me from taking risks? If my fears rule me, am I living my best life? Am I really alive?
Rob once said something like, "Are you just going to sit there and watch RUclips videos, or are you going to act?" I'm going to act. I'll be in the Philippines in November. It’s just a short 20 day scouting trip; I still work and have small farm. I’m not sure if I’ll meet someone or not in such a short trip, but that isn't the point. This is happening, and it's a start. The journey of a thousand miles...

My UK wife was 9 years older than me and we were very happy for over 20 years. My Pinoy wife is 9 years younger and to be honest she is more settled and serious in life than I am at 67. Everything about this couple makes perfect sense. There’s a clear and fair exchange of value- resource provisioning for youth n’ beauty. And I do believe them to be a good (and legit) couple.
Virtually every woman on this planet - every country, every culture - highly values a man’s financial situation and status (it’s the evolutionary equivalent of virtually all men valuing feminine youth, beauty and fertility). Even the high-earner boss babes in the West strongly prefer men who at least match their income (Hypergamy MUST be satisfied).
The only difference with cats like Rob, Old Dog, Reekay, et al., in the Philippines is that female Hypergamy is satisfied at much, much lower thresholds than in the West.
For example, if Chrissy lived in California, she’d be routinely pursued by tall, attractive, wealthy men in their 30’s and 40’s (even as a single mom saddled with a 5yo kid). Near 70yo Rob, charming as he can be, wouldn’t stand a chance, especially with modest cash flow (and he clearly knows this based on his content)
However, in CDO, Rob’s SMV is much, much higher. When he jokes that “he is the prize,” the bedrock truth is he truly is the prize… in CDO.
In short, in the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king! 👑

I'm remembering a episode of In the heat of the night. For those who are not familiar with this show, it was a Police drama in small town Mississippi in the 1980's. In the show, the Chief of Police (a older white man), had a romantic relationship with a black city council woman. In one episode, one of the Police Officers said, When two people enjoy each other's company so much, what's the problem with them keeping each company?
This needs to be the outlook of other people.

My wife and I have 25 years between us. I have advised her when she get on in years I will still be around to push her wheelchair. When she got to Arizona our first sightseeing trip was to the Grand Canyon. I learned then that she and her son were/are not hikers. Over a dozen years later, things have not changed a lot in that regard.

I realized late in life just how many people need to try to tear others down to somehow feel better about themselves. Never really understood it because I don't have those thoughts. And with one of (in my opinion) the best bullshit detectors in the business I can comfortably say, and I've said it before -- you guys are the real deal. Would love to have you as friends some day. Very few phils vloggers meet that threshold. Interesting about the off-camera questions. I think I had 60 questions for my lady. She had only one: "do you love me?"

Rob- Because you are educated, articulate and well traveled people will always assume you are rich, whether in in the USA or The Philippines. They just assume success, and you've had financial success, but you , like me, are also an entrepreneur and a risk taker and we both got beat into the ground during the Great Recession. The thing is, financial success is only one component in truly being successful. I would argue that emotional success, relationship success and even community accomplishments matter more. With the life you have created in the Philippines alongside Chrissy I would say you are highly successful in all the areas that count most. Additional financial success I imagine is also brewing given all the hard work you are both putting into the channel and your coaching business. At 67-68 there are still many chapters to write in the Book of Life, especially with a sweet and lovely lady by your side keeping you younger. Thanks again to both of you for the fulsome sharing and interesting discussions.

Not a comment but a question? You two seem to have made a great connection. I think I also made a great connection with a great woman. Age gap is much closer at 7 years difference. We spent 3 months together. After two days she was comfortable enough to introduce me to her two adult children. After 3 days I happened to meet her mother by chance in the middle of Manila! Vibes were great. We continued to grow closer together naturally. We spent Christmas together with the wider family. She never asked me for a penny. We then went on a few overseas trips together. I paid for those expenses. She never asked for anything besides a couple of fridge magnets for her memories. Lovely woman, right? Since I returned I discovered she has taken a couple of trips with other men. She said business trips. 75k peso for a 2-week holiday. She tells me that she is doing that to help us out for our future. Trustworthy? Or should I run?

First off, I love you both for the hard work & effort you both put into your relationship from the beginning till now on your YT channel. (I'm remembering how you guys used that checklist of conversation openers to communicate and learn about each other.) (Who does that?? Well, I do, now.) Hope you made this episode not out of frustration but out of an honest desire to be up front and revealing. Communication. I think you really have nothing to be defensive about. Nor should you let anyone pry into your personal affairs. But my take is this: It's not just haters and trolls. People in general have become too cynical. (Not skeptical; cynical.) There are quite a few haters and jealous/envious people out there, sure, but today most everybody (especially in the USA) has become dangerously cynical. They won't believe anything except what their friendly sources tell them. They're being coached to be distrustful of science, of our institutions and our history. With the advent of AI, they're even more cynical about news and everything they "can see with their own eyes," so even that old comfort is gone. God knows what this erosion will mean. So just beware, it won't go away anytime soon, take of yourselves. Bless you both.

Rob and Chrissy, you two are a wonderful couple and I very much enjoy watching your videos and learning from you both. It's nobody's place to question your relationship or make any kind of personal attack. Crab mentality is present in the west too unfortunately. I think anytime there's a financial consideration involved, certain negative people will think/verbalize the worst, which is unfair and often wrong. You can know I think highly of you both and that I plan to provide my Filipina a generous allowance so she doesn't have to work and can spend more time doing everything with me. I had no doubt that you 2 are in a real romantic relationship. And so am I (at least I thinks so) with my 31 y.o. Pinay. The real concern is what will happen when we'll be really old and/or weak. In addition, unlike Rob, I am not retired in PH, and I have no plans to retire in the next 5 years. And even if I will retire one day, I might not choose PH for that purpose. That means I will have to live in a LDR with my Pinay, or bring her to the West (very risky idea). I hope Rob considered this issue and he made the plans needed to be safe when that time will come. Crissy looks like a really genuine person and hopefully she will treat Rob 20 years from now the way she is treating him now.

I have been married to my Filipina wife for 10 years. She is 20 years younger than me. I can hear my me and my wife every time I listen to you and Chrissy. We have a very similar relationship as Chrissy has expressed. It is a sorry fact of life that the good men in the US have been so beaten down and beaten up by the feminists that they can't believe there are genuine women like Chrissy and my wonderful wife. I would recommend that the haters and the skeptics and the naysayers stop disrespecting you and Chrissy and by extension me and my wife and everyone else married to a wonderful, real filipina woman and look to a better, similar future for themselves rather than trying to excuse their own lack of confidence and pitiful existence by depricating what we've been able to have in our lives.

I think the human condition is that a lot of the time we feel the need to explain ourselves to others when it comes to our relationship with the one that we love. The problem with this is that we will never be able to fully explain it to others and they will never truly understand it because they are not a party to it and they do not have any emotion invested in it. People legitimately do not like things that they do not understand or they are simply jealous because they do not have what you have. In other words......Don't share your relationship intimacy with others...They will never get it...Savor the moment with the love of your life! It's the only thing that matters!

Relationships are hard enough without letting the world in. I’ve seen couple vlogers fail time and again due to opening up what is supposed to be a private relationship made public. Is it worth it? Opinions are like assholes, everyone has one. When you put your selves out in the public, there are a lot who are jealous and hate. I married my Filipina back in 1989. We have now been married going on 35 years. My wife has followed me throughout my military service. She lived in the US for over 20 years and lived with me while I was working in Saudi Arabia. We will be coming back to the Philippines to check on the land we have purchased as well as get my SRRV Visa. We will be retiring there in a year or so. I enjoy your videos and am a subscriber. I hope one day in the future we can meet. Just keep doing what your doing and enjoy each other. Some people just cannot except others being happy.
