Sorry, off-topic, but... Still wondering what the trick is that you always find wholesome girls to interview. Either editing magic (cut out the bad ones) or you have an eye for good women. If the latter, please lend me your eye because not only are they wholesome, they're very attractive as well. Let us in on the secret, please 🥺
Filipina Pea, I have been watching " HOUSE" LATELY AND YOUR music sounds very close to it..... I guess that "HOUSE" INSPIRED YOUR CHOICE and also "nananana nanna!" Loki spirit , just like him.
Thanks Pea for covering this. I’ve been warning Filipinos for over 10 years about this. Arab Muslims are completely different from the ones you grew up around. Especially those where sharia law is in place. To Muslims OFWs are not employees. They consider them slaves and property. Thanks to Duterte many stranded Filipinos were rescued.
I was an overseas American worker. I worked on a ship with Filipino OFWs, who were seamen. They were very good workers, and easy to get along with. They sent all their money home, and never had any money to spend. The only time they seemed sad was when they looked down at fish in the water, but could not afford fishing gear. So I bought them some line, hooks, and all the gear you need to fish, and gave the gear to them. They thanked me profusely. Whenever the caught and cooked fish, they offered me a share of the catch. We ate a lot of fish, even tiny minnows, which they dried, and ate with rice, head and all, as Pea has often mentioned. I liked the Filipinos and enjoyed most of the fish, but was never became excessively fond of the dried minnows.
My wife was an ofw for 15 years and suffered all kinds of abuse. I still have friends working in Hong Kong and Bahrain. HK is a bit better but even after working for the same family for almost 15 years she’s still being abused and sometimes works 20 hour days. The Middle East is even worse. Marriages are often ruined and children grow up resentful of the missing parent. Thank you Pea for sharing this subject.
This is exactly why I always warn family members and friends against going anywhere in the Middle East, because the chances of abuse are astronomical (stories like the one of your guest are not an exception, but the rule). Thank for highlighting this, as it's something that especially Filipinos going abroad need to be aware of.
My wife works in UAE. I think it is worth mentioning that this isn't caused by the UAE government. Rather those exploiting worker's ignorance. I heard a similar story from her about the process of leaving and coming back. She has helped advocate for other Filipinas who experienced similar situations. There is a common practice of employers taking passports and large percentage of wages. Finding the right employer is a cloudy road because of the uncertainty. I feel for the early struggles my wife endured. She is a champion and maintained being an absolute sweetheart. I am extremely fortunate to have met her.
It was obvious that she was trying to lighten the mood as this is a serious issue. We often cope by laughing at things we otherwise not normally would.
I've heard of some of the horror stories about the Filipino workers in other countries. I've heard that some of the Filipinas were abused in many ways. It really breaks my heart because they just want to work and help their family. Thank you for your steadfastness to report on this terrible subject. Bravo to you, Pea! Salamat po!
This topic needs to be properly explored. There are huge numbers of OFWs in countries not known for protecting foreign workers. And it's been going on for many decades.
Especially anyone in the US, or Canada, or western countries that claim to be 'oppressed' or discriminated against to the point of abuse. My pinay fiance worked in the Mideast for 30+ years, but was lucky to work for a large legitimate company. Even still she still had horror stories of being attacked by arab men, and of friends of hers that were beaten, raped and even killed. Especially some years ago before internet. May God protect all the OFW that go to work in such places🙏🙏
Dear Pea. I am so sorry this happens. Filipinos are such good, hard working people. It is horrible to see them getting abused when they go to work abroad. Here is hoping the economics there improves, and more Filipinos can find opportunities at home.
Dubai is infamous for treating immigrants terribly. If you're going to do overseas work, it's generally better to pick a Western country like Australia.
Filipinas Choose Dubai! because their trying exploit the most money! its not just Dubai its also indonesians and foreign workers in Hong kong treated badly...
Just be careful of the family you work for. Let’s just say that it’s not necessarily any better working for people who have the same values as the rest of their home country, just because they’re living in the west. The only difference is if they’re caught, they actually get charged. But small comfort for the slave.
@@CaptainKremmen I say it how it is!! Somehow pea keeps deleting my comments when i speak the truth about, filipina also being blamed for chasing money and going to Dubai in hopes to extorted more money..
There, its a man's world ONLY and they have little respect for outside interests... and even outside the Middle East, they are exactly the same ! As long as you agree with them and go along, your safe !!! Thats not a healthy climate to be in ANY country.
Reading about the plight of OFW's is one thing, seeing/listening to the story from the lips of a victim .....that truly makes it REAL. An interview that needed to done. Thanx Pea !!
UAE is the best place among all other nations in the Middle East, no one comes close to the openness, safety, development etc. One would have much worse experiences in the other countries.
@urldroidsuperbot2139 For whom? The people with money and the people who are not OFW.? Of course you Einstein. UAE is an Arab Muslim majority country = 💩culture and religion aka ultimate goal of Sharia law.
@@urldroidsuperbot2139this is like saying it’s better to have your feet chopped off than to be stabbed in the heart. Degrees of awfulness is still awful.
@gravityissues5210 No it is not. If you are from US and Europe, Australia maybe, not whole world. You think Filipino employers are great(leaving out the salary)?
You need to do an extended series on these stories! My late Wife was an OFW on cruise ships, before I met her (in the U.S.), and some of the stories she told me should make all Filipinos re-think their decision to become an OFW!!! Thank you Ms. Pea! 👍
My Filipina wife was an OFW in UAE for 12 years. I met her online while she was working there. It’s so sad that these young girls are taken advantage of, like she said many times by their coworkers. Jane seems like a very sweet girl, hoping and praying the best for her! 🙏🏻 Looking forward to Part 2 on Friday.
Reminds of a couple in Australia that had a filipina OFW and literally kept her locked in their house as a literal slave. It happens all over the world with evil people. My wife almost went to OFW when she was 18, and luckily, she didn't do it. I know that a lot of OFWs make good money, but at the same time, there's so many horror stories. Makes me worry for all OFWs. Not only from the Philippines but from other poor countries as well.
One of my wife's cousins went to work in Saudi as a housekeeper. The boss had several women working for them. One of the workers started talking to an Indian man through the gated fence. Nothing bad just talking. And the religious police saw this and murdered her. The Philippine embassy did nothing. And the man who murdered her did no time because she broke the religious law of speaking to someone not her relative or husband. It's true it happens and it's sick and cruel. Thank you pea for bringing this subject to the forefront. It really makes me angry.
It happened in 2017. The whole situation was insanity. They only would feed the workers Kentucky fried chicken leftovers (all the family ever ate). To get the driver to go get them hygiene products they had to do things not very moral. They would sometimes hold their wages. The man who hired them seemed a decent guy but his wife was cruel to the workers. And the employment agency was really just using the Filipinas for money. That really made me mad. I cannot stand people using people like that.
A large major hotel brand in Texas had many Filipinas from agency that worked for a year time frame. Every one was young and beautiful and with a down to earth attitude. They stayed in a nice big apartment with wifi and everything. After a year we got a new group and they stayed for a year. They talked to me really friendly and I helped them with many things. What beautiful people.
My wife was an ofw to support her family and send her brothers and sisters to college. And she shared some bad stories in our beginning. Should be more protection
Hello Pea thanks for bringing this topic to light , I met a ofw on line in China and have been trying to get her back home to the Philippines for 1 1/2 years. I’m hoping that she will be able to go home this month and be reunited with her family. Over there they just take your passport and demand money or accuse them of theft many go to prison if their families can’t come up with the money which as you know most can’t. One thing that amazes me is how she can keep her positive attitude after all she has been through, not sure if that is just her or a Filipino trait but it is something I do admire.
I worked with a lot of Filipinos overseas when I was in the Military, mostly while in Iraq. We called them “TCNs” third country nationals. They worked very hard and all interactions I had with them were very positive. I did supervise a group of them and often talked to them about their experiences working overseas. As far as I remember every one of them said they’d prefer to work in a war zone than work in Dubai, Kuwait, or Saudi Arabia. I’m sure they had their own reasons for that, but I think it says a lot.
I don't normally do this, but I am going to post this video to the community platform on my channel, to share what OFW's have to endure, by taking a risk to their lives, when abroad. I have helped with a little financial assistance to Filipinas, who genuinely needed help in the past. It makes me angry to know that this abuse is still taking place, and the Government of the Philippines, has to do more to help it's citizens whilst in danger abroad as an OFW. Although recently, they have put some safety measures in place to help their fellow country men, but hopefully they will enforce stronger legislation, to mitigate the effects of this abuse . Great video Pea !🙏
My girlfriend was OFW in Dubai, Singapore and Malaysia 10 years ago. Lot of crazy experiences. One of the promises I made is that she will never have to do that again.
I've met many filipina ofw's over the years and when they've told me their story I've often asked myself how could any decent human being tolerate certain conditions and the disrespect. Especially in arab countries. They've told me their situation there is ok but i knew something was odd every time they opened their mouth to talk to me. It's not easy being ofw for a filipina so i give them much respect.
My wife worked as an OFW in debai, she told me that she was almost raped twice by her employer and she finally made up an excuse of a family emergency and she left all her possessions and never returned. She cant stand anyone from the middle east now.
Filipina choose Dubai because their trying to exploit where the most money can be made! they could of chosen western country.. its also place like Hong kong and austria and germany that treat foreign workers bad
Yes I understand my wife is in Dubai now .I didn't want her to go . She wanted to help support her family . And not use my money. She left for Dubai when I wasn't home. Damm
Before i met my Filipina online, she was on her way to become a OFW for 2yrs. I told her if she goes, we wont be together. It wasnt an ultimatum, but nor was i gonna get in her way of making money. She choose to stay, i help her find work in Manila and she makes what she would've made if she would've became an OFW. I simply wasnt gonna wait two yrs for her, but i was more concerned about the treatment over there. And im glad your guest is telling her experiences on it. Because i KNOW alot of Filipina are either doing foul play over there (knowing that theyre in relationships) and/or being treated wrong.
My first Filipina GF was OFW worker in Hong Kong.. she was the victim of mental and physical abuse. Her agent would not help her. This really hit home for me 🥲… thanks Ms. Pea for bringing this subject to light. 🇺🇸💖🇵🇭💯👍🏻😇🙏🏼
@@kenamaro Agencies get their money and that's as far as responsibility goes. No duty of care, no welfare checks, nothing. If a Filipina complains she is terminated and it goes on her file. 3 marks on her file and she is blacklisted as a bad employee. The Philippines Government know what goes on but turn a blind eye. It's all about money.

I met my wife in Honk Kong she was a domestic helper. Same story as many here raised 2 kids cooked most meals cleaned the house. I was a US Sailor on shore leave and we met in a bar of all places. The only day off she’d had in weeks so she wanted to do a little dancing. Love at first sight for both of us. Been 28 years 2 sons, a daughter in law and a fiancee. Thanks for bringing this out.
I live in the UK right now and my wonderful wife who I've been very happily married to for 21 years now is from the Philippines ! I have a lot of respect for Filipino's and the Culture ! But I've never understood how life must be to have them find tthemselves having to go to a place like Dubai 😢 and how they like to try to get along with everyone with open arms but not just for the sake of their families and work but they travel abroad as they really genuinely love the world . ( from my experience ) and Im grateful or i would have never met my wife from Iloilo, who I have had the pleasure of knowing and being a husband to. And to know and love one of the best families ❤ ever !!! Im going to try to be as respectful as I can regarding this issue but Jane, the lady you interviewed is 100% correct about the attitude of people from Middle East country's like Dubai and others... which I would NEVER step foot in NO MATTER what the pay was for work ! I have a niece that was there and I was terrified that she was going to end up in something like this or worse too, and im sure it might have been very close... im just glad that she left that place! Life is hard I know this but please 🙏 go to country's where you can be sure you have rights as a woman . Best to all Filipino in the world, your amazing people ❤ Big thanks Pea Great vid x
I really feel for the OFW’s. They sacrifice their lives with their children and families often just to provide a better life for the family back home. If they are not lucky enough to find a good employer, their lives can be very hard with long hours and little freedom. I’ve spoken to a few, and their experiences were shocking.
@@TheFilipinaPea I think your focus was on "foreigner-Philipina" issues and so many other topics that you didn't cover it. It should not be hard to find such women like her who are back and are willing to talk.
@@urldroidsuperbot2139 OFWs are not willing to openly talk as any future prospect of an agency taking them on is damaged. It is also about judgement from other Filipinos that makes them afraid. Filipinos do not complain it's not seen as the thing to do as a tradition.
Oh Pea I feel so bad for those girls. I've worked in Dubai but have never seen this kind of mistreatment. I have listened to several girls stories that were treated so badly. Most found better jobs. Kudos for bringing this to our attention, long overdue. We had OFW at our company and of course my hotel and in the Malls. Always they have a smile and were happy to chat with chat and make us feel welcome. Can't wait for Friday
It is so great to see you branching out into more and more subjects with such incredible honesty and forthrightness. You’re becoming a full-fledged journalist before our eyes. Brava!
My wife was an OFW in Taiwan. She worked as a 24/7 home care worker. Her last home care person had bad dementia and tried to stab my wife with knives. She was stuck in Taiwan for ages because of Covid lockdown. Luckily she is now living with me in Australia
Wow that's crazy. I'm stuck thinking about the body of the Filipina....someone that probably had a family and thought they were going to improve their life only to lose it. Breaks my heart 😢
Pea, these are topics and stories many in the West, US, do not acknowledge because we hide what would alter our perception of being normal. As your guest shares, to bring it into the open is to be cast out, alone, feeling like somehow you are wrong. That this is the price you have to pay. You have to sacrifice your personal dignity and self-worth. It is sad and horrific. I feel bad that as people, we disrespect another person to cause them to feel less than they are. You are touching a difficult topic. I appreciate your strength. CW
Definitely a subject that should be addressed. I have extended family working as OFW, so far she has not relayed any horrid storys. We keep our fingers crossed. Thanks again for the subject matter.
@TheFilipinaPea not really, the country she is in had some bad articles written about its. Unfortunately women who live there are not treated the best, so you know OFW's will be treated poorly.
Pea, that young lady is a very interesting and intelligent person. Why can’t I find a great lady like y’all? I’m ready to get over there. Have a great week.
The first OFW I ever met in my life was a flilipino truck driver in Saudi Arabia. I was a soldier participating in the first Gulf War as a truck driver myself. The man I met who was middle-aged, it seemed, was driving with a group of other Filipino men. His English wasn't that great but he offered me a meal while I was riding with him for the day providing security for the load he was pulling. I remember scratching my head as to why a group of men from your place were working so far away from home. It was my first contact with a person from the Philippines. Your video is very spot on. As a 19 year old I knew nothing about the country, culture and financial challenges of the Philippines. My sister in law from Cebu is currently in Dubai working as a care person for a family there
Being in the military is often a persons first experience with people from a country that is much different from their own. What you usually learn is that, except for people raised in totalitarian countries, people are more alike than different ... just friendly, "normal" people that you would never see in the news.
Very informative. I hope many philipinas watch this so they are informed. It is sad to see people being taken advantage of just because they are foreign.
Working as a OFW is like walking through a minefield. I understand the reasoning behind it (money for the family) but the risks involved barely make it worth it. Take care Pea and I'll see you Friday.
Great video Pea. OFW needs to be changed to protect the workers. Some of the Filipinos I knew in Canada told me about restrictions imposed on them by their employers.
In Lebanon, a few years ago, 14 filipina household employees died when they were locked in high rise apartments and tried to escape by climbing to another apartment. An Indian woman told me, "Of course we lock her in the flat. We would be responsible for any mischief she gets into on her day off (unture). According to my experience in Saudi and the UAE, Muslims do not distinguish well between the term "maid" and "slave". The Philippine government no longer gives permits to citizens to work as household employees in these countries but has little power to enforce its decision. I also saw a filipino hotel employee being beaten because he demanded his end of contract payment. My ex-SAS friend put a stop to it.
I'm well aware. I met my Filipina when she was an OFW, and video chatted with her while she was over there, and when her contract was up, I retired her.
It breaks my heart to hear that men have lost the respect taught to them by parents. Women are very special . They deserve to be respected and have confidence in us males to feel secure and safe. Great commentary Pea. You are evolving into an outstanding journalist. ❤❤❤❤
Actually, that treatment of outsiders is what parents and educational institutions teach them and is fully in line with their official ideology and scriptures.
It's no surprise to me that her bad experiences are from Dubai. I've heard some very crazy stories from that part of the world. I'm looking forward to the rest of the story.
I have been in relationships with 2 OFW woman. My current wife was OFW for 19 years to support her family. I can’t imagine leaving everything I know to work abroad. Mad respect for these woman
It never ceases to amaze me Pea how terrible people can be to other people when they believe they can exploit someone and get away with it. Thank you to Jane for sharing her experience and thank God she made it back home safe and sound.
OMG, my blood is actually boiling watching this video. My Filipina (an OFW) is currently dealing with issues with her middle eastern company and situation currently. The working and living conditions are absolute bullshit. So much more needs to be done for the safety and wellbeing of these women, the Filipino government really needs to protect it’s citizens at home and abroad! Pea, I wish I had some way to contact you on this issue.
This is horrifying, but sadly not surprising. These countries/ regions are downright dangerous for foreign women especially, as they are easily targeted
Everyone goes somewhere else because they think it will be better. It's never better because it's still filled with humanity, the same humanity that caused the place they came from to be worth leaving. Thanks for sharing this topic today.
My heart goes out to hard working people like this who get used & abused. There are so many wicked people in the world who are only to happy to take advantage of the vulnerable amongst us. All I can say is karma will decide their fate. I hope this young ladies story has a positive end, at least she's back home now.
Pea, you are a powerful voice for your people. I feel lucky to have access to your wisdom, and the wisdom of your guests, here on this platform every week.
Wow... she seems safe, happy and back in Duma so fingers crossed there's is redemption in the following chapter. Your persistence on this story has been rewarded.... Salamat po. Peace and Love, B Goat
Philippines used to be a promising country in the 1950s, 1960s, even wealthier than Singapore. One big factor is the way its being governed. The leaders plays a significant role in shaping the lives of their citizens...for many generations. Its sad that filipinas ofw had to suffer to put food on the table but what else could they do ?
That's because of major foreign investment. The Philippines makes it very difficult for foreign investment mainly because of bribery. Then the local population hates foreign investors because they can't stand and won't tolerate anyone becoming financially better off than them and they resort to very criminal behavior to punish those doing better and the investors. Much needs to change but if it does the Philippines would quickly become THE powerhouse in SE Asia in GDP. Filipinos are incredibly smart and hard working. It defies logic.
Thank you Pea for bringing this all too common plight for OFWs as well as other nationalities who are abused by their employers or sponsors. I as a Canadian worked in the middle east for 15 years and currently have a Filipina fiance who is still working in Kuwait. Your information is accurate but unfortunately does not paint the severity of the many horrors that I was privy to while working in 6 major countries in the region. Male and certainly females are to this day being mentally, physically, financially and basic human rights are being abused in the GCC and elsewhere in the world. I do hope that your Filipino followers take head to the warnings and think long and hard prior to embarking on what could be a disastrous, life altering, or even deadly decision. I look forward to a follow up on this very sensitive subject. I have the deepest respect for all overseas foreign workers from any country that must endure this indentured slavery .
OFWs need to be careful on what job they take and where the job is. Some will take advantage of anyone, so sad. Thanks for bringing this to our attention Ms Pea
@@TheFilipinaPea it had crossed my mind. Your friend you interviewed just skimmed the surface. You have a weekly topic for the next 10 years. When my ex left, I let my maid go and became normal again….
Im glad you made a video about this. It's something I've known about second-hand since 2014. I've known at least a dozen or more OFW since then that have worked in many countries (Kuwait, HK, Saudi Arabia, Dubai, Singapore, Turkey, and more) One Im still friends with has been in HK since 2011. Her Chinese employers are the worst kind (really cheap, they dont give her much or any food at all, her sleeping area is very small, late in giving her salary). It really pisses me TF off. Ill put it lightly because of RUclips TOS, Employers like that really need to be taught a lesson in humanity and be treated the same way they treat their domestic workers.
@@Hugh-fs1qn no but many have died falling from windows and having strokes from the work they are expected to do. My GF is back from HK for second time. Both employers were not good. But the recent one was by far the worst. It almost broke her physically and mentally. She's still not recovered after being home for many months. She lost so much weight I didn't recognise her.
Unfortunately I've known workers who couldn't get back. Their passports are taken, and they are basically a slave. When they save enough money, then they can get back home. This is in the Arabian countries😢
@@randomclick2826 I watched a documentary on this in Ukraine they have documents and passports. They did it everywhere your new owner/employer takes your passport to restrict your options because they are now illegals.
I work w/ the US Navy as a civilian contractor & was overseas for a few years. The base was 90% OFWs working for either the base operating service contractor or the US Navy as overseas general (OG) employees. Although food & housing were provided for the contractors, their living conditions were appalling - a step above a shack & the food was...not great. The lowest paid workers earned $200/month and they had to send 50% home. The Philippine gov't also took a cut. They got to go home once per year at Christmas, IF they were lucky. It made me realize how lucky I am to be an American.
I've personally heard some heart and gut wrenching stories about what some of them have to do to just survive in a foreign country, where they were given a picture of sunshine and roses by the recruiter... Extremely sad, and degrading, but when your choices are to eat when you are starving or not, hard choices are made... 🥺 Glad you discussed this! 🙂
When I was deployed to Saudi Arabia for Desert Shield/Storm, I remember seeing a lot of Filipino workers. After seeing how little work there is in the Philippines, it makes sense. On another note, it is so sad that a person has to leave his/her home to work elsewhere and be, in some cases, treated so badly. I'm looking forward to hearing the rest of Jane's story.
My wife was in Saudi working as a Medical Nanny when we met online. She was lucky to work with good families. The agency was a whole other story. Her last patient was a small child with asthma and they were jet plan rich, the Family had to make her agency give her her passport back, the agency claimed they had "Lost" it.
Thank you, Pea, for bringing Jane's story and words of wisdom to your viewers. 👍❤ It's beyond unfortunate that Jane had to endure the trials we heard about in this introductory part of your two-part interview with her. Fortunately this lovely young lady survived to tell her story and to caution other potential OSWs of the very real perils they might be facing when they seek employment away from the Philippines.
Overseas working is a scam. My peace corps host family sister, jamaican, applied for summer work in uS . The agency, this was 2012, 600 us for application. Got her a job at major hotel in sturis. Motel charged 200/month for lodging, there were 6 in the motel room. They werent allowed to work 40 hr/week, usually 30-35, this avoids benefits, wage not US minimum, said tips make it up. She was a house keeper. She wanted to do this in order to make money for college back in jamaica. I showed here with the application fees, also charged for visa application which is free, charged rent and board , air plane ticket that she would be lucky to break even with no money accumulated. Also she was committed to work at that major motel chain and NOT be allowed to work somewhere else. It is all a scam. What was worse was our govt had a release stating there werent any US workers for these jobs and that the foerign workers filled a need. But since when has i dentured servitude been allowed in the US.

Thank you for this comment and warning philipinos not to go to such places.
Wow, she had to be scared. Thank God she made it home, thank God.😊
This is exactly why I always warn family members and friends against going anywhere in the Middle East, because the chances of abuse are astronomical (stories like the one of your guest are not an exception, but the rule). Thank for highlighting this, as it's something that especially Filipinos going abroad need to be aware of.
I was born in 1998, and lived in Riyadh since August 25 1999, and I am already aware of this situation....
👍👍👍❤️
Exactly.

100% agree. Most of RUclips is only entertainment. Pea is one of the rare ones making the world a better place. I truly mean that.
People in the US don't know how good they have it.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Especially anyone in the US, or Canada, or western countries that claim to be 'oppressed' or discriminated against to the point of abuse. My pinay fiance worked in the Mideast for 30+ years, but was lucky to work for a large legitimate company. Even still she still had horror stories of being attacked by arab men, and of friends of hers that were beaten, raped and even killed. Especially some years ago before internet. May God protect all the OFW that go to work in such places🙏🙏
The idiot Democrats here are voting us into a third world country.
Both Arab and western countries are not suitable place to work, just think about it!
Just be careful of the family you work for. Let’s just say that it’s not necessarily any better working for people who have the same values as the rest of their home country, just because they’re living in the west. The only difference is if they’re caught, they actually get charged. But small comfort for the slave.
Or an Asian country, such as Taiwan or Korea.
@@CaptainKremmen I say it how it is!! Somehow pea keeps deleting my comments when i speak the truth about, filipina also being blamed for chasing money and going to Dubai in hopes to extorted more money..
I worked in Oman from 2006 to 2013. I encountered many Filipinos in Oman, mostly in shops and businesses. Very nice people (Filipinos), so friendly!
To all young Philipino women out there.
Just don't even see this as an option.
It's too dangerous!
Well said...
I’ve been looking for someone for almost five years to tell her story 👍👍
Too often a person goes overseas making more money, but then family members in country quit working, expecting them to send money.
And when they return home, people treat them like dirt 😳
The same thing happens in the United States as well. Only, those people get on government assistance to further avoid work. Laziness knows no borders.
Filipina women are the best. There is a limit
@@DGTelevsionNetworkit’s rotten capitalism that abuses these women, it knows no borders.

How dreadful. What year did this happen? Did this event make the news?
It happened in 2017. The whole situation was insanity. They only would feed the workers Kentucky fried chicken leftovers (all the family ever ate). To get the driver to go get them hygiene products they had to do things not very moral. They would sometimes hold their wages. The man who hired them seemed a decent guy but his wife was cruel to the workers. And the employment agency was really just using the Filipinas for money. That really made me mad. I cannot stand people using people like that.
And all of that is correct according to their official ideology as expressed in their scriptures and what their schools teach.
👍👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍👍
My wife was an ofw to support her family and send her brothers and sisters to college. And she shared some bad stories in our beginning. Should be more protection
👍👍👍👍🥺
That's a jungle out there......
Hearing her story makes me sad and angry. Thank you for a two part episode. I had to calm-down. People can be so entitled and cruel.
That poor girl. She seems so sweet. Feel terrible for her. No woman should ever feel uncomfortable at their workplace.
Well thanks for that 👍❤️
My girlfriend was OFW in Dubai, Singapore and Malaysia 10 years ago.
And our culture makes it hard to speak out 😳
My wife worked as an OFW in debai, she told me that she was almost raped twice by her employer and she finally made up an excuse of a family emergency and she left all her possessions and never returned.
So sad that good people have such horrendous experiences, It's heart-breaking.

I really feel for the OFW’s. They sacrifice their lives with their children and families often just to provide a better life for the family back home. If they are not lucky enough to find a good employer, their lives can be very hard with long hours and little freedom. I’ve spoken to a few, and their experiences were shocking.

Pea, these are topics and stories many in the West, US, do not acknowledge because we hide what would alter our perception of being normal.

The leaders plays a significant role in shaping the lives of their citizens...for many generations. Its sad that filipinas ofw had to suffer to put food on the table but what else could they do ?

South Korea only overtook the Philippines in terms of GDP per capita in the early 1980s...

But it happens openly in sharia law countries like Saudi Arabia and other Islamic countries
I went to Dubai a few times and never met a person FROM Dubai. It was mostly people from the Philippines
This is why I refuse to visit or do business with those countries. They build their vulgar flashy resort cities on slavery.
@@randomclick2826 I watched a documentary on this in Ukraine they have documents and passports. They did it everywhere your new owner/employer takes your passport to restrict your options because they are now illegals.
I love picking the brains of OFW. What a hard decision! Nobody knows the resolve of of a mother who would sacrifice this much😢
It’s the ultimate sacrifice for some 😳👍
I am marring one, been engaged 4 years, this is our time now to be together forever
This is very sad heartbreaking. Sorry they go through this
I work w/ the US Navy as a civilian contractor & was overseas for a few years.
🥺🥺🥺🥺😢👍
I have only been to the Middle East a few times. Nevertheless, interacting with most of those Muslims makes my blood pressure rise.
The amazing pea as always bring the light to subjects that we may never no about plus given a voice to the voiceless. Thanks to the beautiful and Pea.
THANKS Travis 👍👍
Many health care professionals work overseas as well.
Yup, a very common tactic 🥺👍
Sorry that's Sturgis south dakota
🥺🥺🥺
WOW JUST WOW. Thanks for sharing this Pea.
I am outraged and saddened that something like this could exist
Just wait till what you’ll hear in Part 2 😳
