I've had a long standing approach that whenever a chat mate starts talking about sex, I "dump and block". A long term partner /potential wife doesn't behave like that naturally, but has learnt manipulative behaviour through experience.

This happened to a friend of mine so I had known about it…a scammer tried that with me but I was not playing around and would not show myself. Then she tried to threaten to send to my FB friends. I just laughed! First you don’t have anything and 2nd almost all my real friends have seen me naked! Haha! I actually played along with this scammer and we became friends turns out she is a lady boy. Was totally NOT the pictures she was showing. But the video was very good and believable. I ask her to touch her nose quickly and then her head…

I got an email from a scammer claiming that they had hijacked my laptop camera and recorded me watching porn / pleasuring myself, and threatened to send the videos to my employer if I didn't give them money... I laughed, because the very first minute I had my laptop, I slapped a piece of black electrical tape over the camera lens to make sure that could never happen. I just deleted the message, and nothing ever came of it.

Yeh, I cover my lenses as well. And REALLY refrain from any video chats unless it's with my doctor....
Taught my daughters to do the same, since many schools in the U.S. can't seem to figure out the word 'private' when it comes to minors. And no social media ... knew that was trouble from the start....& it worked out very well for them. They thanked me for that.

I removed black electrical tape from my laptop lens after remaining in place for years only now the camera view is distorted . Maybe from heat. I tried different cleaning chemicals, no luck.
You might want to place a small piece of paper over the lens and tape the paper to the lens
good vid Rob. i learned early and am reminded often the money is always the key to success in relationships in the Philippines (to some extent). Filipinas always seek out opportunities for a better life, especially those who are breadwinners for their families. for expats the old saying is true... "no money no honey." just ask any of the expats who ran out of money there. i tell people to enjoy their time in the Phils. enjoy your Filipina and the lifestyle. but always remember the money thing is key. it is (and will always be) the lifeline of happiness in the Phils. manage the money well and everything will be great😊

Man, a lot has changed since 2008. I had my original copy of my divorce papers from my lawyer, and all I had to do was make a copy of it and give it to them along with the other papers you mentioned. It took my wife and I five months to complete the process in Cebu city. We are now going on seventeen years now. I just recently followed your channel because the information you are providing is very useful and informative.

All internet connections can be traced. Don’t be blackmailed, lots of people with network skills will be happy to help you locate the blackmailer. If not inclined to go that direction then report it to the platform you used. They have to take action of course at different levels depending on your country. Totally correct that borrowing a cell phone is standard practice here. Got to say I had a good laugh when Chrisy said she would make sure all her equipment is ready before the call, whoooo whaaaa!! Hey, if you guys don't already have a video like this, would you consider making one on the following topic? I'm planning on making my first scouting trip to the Philippines, probably in late February or early March of 2025. I will have two weeks. Given travel logistics, the potential for delays and cancelations, the effects of jet lag, etc... I feel like visiting two locations in the two weeks is probably all that I can reasonably accomplish. After watching thousands of hours of videos from a variety of vloggers, I think I have narrowed down my two locations to Panglao (Bohol), and Palawan (Puerta Princesa / El Nido). The final move to the Philippines, assuming I like it, will be in 3 years, so this is my first scouting trip to see if I like it. So maybe the topic of a video could be "Here's what to do / what you need to know about your first 2 week scouting trip to the Philippines."

A couple times a week I get anonymous texts like "Come on over for dinner" or "What you been doing lately". Usually from area codes around the country. I usually reply "wrong number" because I don't have time to waste. About a month ago, I blocked my Facebook friends list.

@@DrJamesBWood Right. I only reason I bring it up is because if someone believes there's only one reason for this kind of deception and they disqualify that motivation they still shouldn't assume the anonymous entity is who they say they are.
I did that once after conversing with someone in the comments section of a RUclips video (not yours). Stuff went to google chat. And I did that. I just refused to pay. I also sought the advice of one of my uncles who’s a retired California highway patrol. He scolded me. But told me I was right not to pay. I don’t do that stuff again. I do my best to keep conversations from dating sites on said site or sites like messenger, WhatsApp, or signal. I’m Andrew.
I agree with Rob with getting to know the person in order to get a baseline on him or her. And I’ll add prior to any x-rate stuff being shared … setting ground rules is a definite must. Like who gets to see said content. Where on your respective devices said content will be saved. Etc. And I’d set the ground rules in text form just so they’re in writing.

What advice do you have for those of us who take meds? I have ADD and bipolar. I’m on meds and am in therapy for the bipolar. But I’m painfully aware that my bipolar meds aren’t legal everywhere in the world (generics for tegretol and geodon). I take them daily along with a statin (generic for zocor) for high cholesterol.

In the end, I simply closed my Facebook account and have lived very well without it for the past few years. Eventually I was up to 25-30 inquiries a day from people I didn't know. In the Philippines now for 5 days and yep, it’s even better than you think. Girls will stop you at the mall to take pictures with you. I legit feel famous here. 5 days, every day but one I woke up next to a beautiful young woman. 19-26 and I’m 41. I will say, bring your A Game. I have been in the gym the past 10 years with abs. Most guys are old and over weight here. Like 65+ with a big belly. So don’t wait that long to come see for yourself and make sure 10-15 weeks before you are in the gym and diet is on point

I get many of those on Whatsapp. I just delete them right away. On facebook, it was very rare, but I do sometimes get friend request with some people I don't recognize and delete them. I also check to see if they are friends with people I know.

Rob, we need to look at things from a statistical perspective instead of saying both men and women are "harvestingg." I quit online dating because the women were either scammers or too busy to be reply in a timely manner to a guy who didn't give them the "tingles." I feel the online game is dead, and not the way to go anymore.

Hey Rib can I register your wedding at the Philippines consulate in San Francisco? Just register and do a USA based online wedding. It’s super easy to get the marriage license. Send me the documents and I’ll drive down and register the wedding. That’s my plan for marriage to my Filipina since I’ve been divorced 3X and it will be a hassle to get all the documentation needed for a Filipino wedding. Once you are married online you are automatically married in the USA but it will take 30 days to process and be officially married in the Philippines. Good Luck! The other option is make a trip and file it on your trip!

As far as I can tell from experience, it's bcuz if a man is with a woman they must be the type that treats women right and will take them away if they can. Even if it is a Filipina who is not part of this network (or another), many Filipinas have little to be lost by being "outed". They are living on maybe 200 pesos a day. If they miss a day of work due to rain it puts them a day behind on buying food for the day. So they may try anything just for $20.

I watched the video about the Queen, very interesting. It just shows that men are gullible, I know because I almost fell into it and I consistently get Friend Requests from good looking females on Facebook, I just delete them. The other issue I am seeing is FR's from people who are already Friends but it is a cloned account that is just a little off on the name or other info on what it should be. Nothing major but like one letter off or the name is backwards, like last name and then first name.

This happened to me, as I was stupid as can be and one of the scariest moments of my life. never again will I ever be that stupid as they even called one of my kids and said to tell your Dad to send money. Watch your facebook as they find these people if they can find your profile by using your phone number. Even if friends are hidden on facebook they will find them on whoever likes your public photo on FB.

In general when traveling overseas, my rule is never do business or engage in any conversation with anybody who approaches unsolicited and it’s pretty good advice when you’re on one of the online dating sites as well
