+Grzegorz Grabowiec This is a fantastic tribute! I loved both seasons of "True Detective." Of all 4 main characters, I identified with Ray the most but Vince Vaughn was, by far, the most bold in his portrayal of Frank S. Nothing against the other main 3 but they didn't risk their careers for this series. Vince is a comedic actor and this role was risky. I really hope it doesn't affect his steady stream of good work. He's now proven that he has serious range as an actor. Thanks again.
+The One Who Knocks Awesome handle! "The One Who Knocks," aka, another favorite of mine....Mr. Walter White. You're not the only one. I loved Frank too. Vaughn made an audience fall in love with an extremely flawed criminal. Not an easy task, especially for a comedic actor! Cheers to Season 3 of TD! I can't wait!
This comment makes me so happy I fucking love Frank he may be a Mob boss, but he is genuinely a good person at heart. He has an incredible sense of justice, he cares about children. “Mow the fucking lawn, I don’t want any kids getting snake bit” and when he found out what Blake was doing behind his back, he avenged Stans wife and son. What a straight up badass and a an amazing character.
I watched it recently and loved it. If it wasn't called true detective it would have def been better received. I think after s1 people had notions about what TD is and could be, and rated it based on that. And of course, VV was great in every scene he was in. He made it out of that desert right....
There is a palpable tension in his performance. In his voice, body language and mannerisms. You can feel it always, Like a man at the verge of his breaking point. From the first scene onwards, before knowing all his backstory, you get the feeling that this is a guy who is willing to go to any length for whatever he is after. Vince conveys that so effectively. Solid acting
Amazing writing...."I'll only need the one bullet. Maybe not today and maybe not tomorrow, but Osip, when the lights go out, that's me!" Nic Pizzolatto is a demented genius. "Demented," in my book, is the highest compliment because stuff like this has to come from a super creatively dark place. Love it!
The problem with this series is that everyone wanted to be Rust. We liked season 1 for its atmosphere and the relationship between the two leads. It was fresh and superbly written. Vaughn did as best as he could with the character and for that he has my respect.
Brian Cranston for the lognest time was known for his role in the comedy based series Malcum in the middle. What an actor he ended up being and showing us in breaking bad. Just because someone does comedy based work doesn't mean that is their only potential. And Frank Seymon just proved that. The story, plot, ect can be argued but Seymon's acting was outstanding regardless of what people think of season 2 as a whole. Collin Farrell did a great just as suspected too.
Totally agree and before him I looked at Robin Williams the same way. As a kid I watched him do wacky comedy then all of sudden you see him in Good Will Hunting, Insomnia or One Hour Photo and you think is this the same guy? I was very impressed with Vince in this role and thought he knocked it out of the park.
Kinda annoying that people in here asking for other tributes all the time instead of enjoying this one..Once again..great work!Vince V. was really good at his role and that was something i didnt expect since he was always playing in comedies..
A great season. ... great performances... some of the narrative is a little clouded so what ... way to many haters of this Season... another reason to never take reviews as just someone else’s opinion amongst many that could be yhe opposite
Awesome work! I was ver concerned when I learned Vince Vaughn had been cast for season 2, but I ended up liking his character the most out of the entire season. His portrayal was really good and his last scene was fucking fantastic.
Swietna robota , ale myśle , że idealnym posunięciem byłoby wstawienie jeszcze jednej scenki po słowach Franka "maybe not today , maybe not tomorrow but Osip ,when the lights go out , thats me" gdy przed strzałem w twarz gosciowi mówi coś w stylu : "A jednak to dzisiaj" I troche nie podobała mi się końcówka ciekawiej byłoby zakończyć filmik jakimiś słowami Franka a nie poprostu ujęciem jego z rękami w górze .
Dzięki i pozdro.
I love how there's a throwaway line of Frank going to Paris. We, the viewer, don't know what they are talking about since we've never seen Frank go to Paris to work out a deal or whatever. You know what would've been cool if Nic Pizzaloto (the creator of True Detective. I hope I spelled his name right) made a 4th season in Paris. I know Nic isn't directing the 4th season since seasons 2-3 didn't do well for some reason. I think seasons 2-3 are still good, if you have time to understand the actual plot. So, why would season 4 be in Paris you may ask? I think Nic likes to sprinkle Easter eggs in each season of True Detective. In season 3, a photo of Rust and Marty appear. The viewer obviously makes the connection that seasons 1 and 3 are connected since they referenced the first season. Now what about season 2? It has no connections to seasons 1 or 3 to my knowledge. So maybe if Nic was still in charge, a setting for season 4 would be in Paris. Maybe a detective or mobster attends an important meeting. And in that meeting, Frank is shown. He is treated as a small side character, just trying to secure a deal or something from a French guy. This would be a nice nod to season 2, showing that seasons 1 and 3 are there own connected universe, with seasons 2 and 4 being connected as well. Then a 5th season would come out, but with hints and Easter eggs from seasons 1-4. This would make everything connected. Maybe even dedicate the entirety of season 5 into the spiral conspiracy group that has long plagued the true Detective series for so long. Maybe have Rust or Marty cameo to ensure this is the final season. IDK, I just thought that would've been a cool idea. Can't wait for this new season supposedly titled "True Detective: Dark Country"
Just like all of your tributes (at least the ones that I've seen. And that's not only 2 or 3...) to certain, particular characters from a film, or a TV show (like in this case), it's another very good one! You'd chosen everything in greatly, the scenes, the lines, those (small number of) dialogues, the music, etc... ONLY one thing though... Maybe, JUST MAYBE, you might have left out that line, "Sometimes, your worst self, is your best self!". Not 'cause it's a bad choice, or terrible lime, or whatnot or what-have-you... but ONLY because it has become a stepping stone for all the Internet trolls (or the wanna be troll ones), who wanna ridicule this season, and Pizzolatto's writing in particular, are using it! But as I said... it's A HUUUGE MAYBE... 'cause after all, who gives a fuck about the trolls!?! No matter how many they are!
The problem with season 2 wasn’t the performances it was that it was hard to tell which part of the story we were supposed to care about? Even after watching it I couldn’t tell you the story line as it didn’t really have one.
Never saw this season. Don't really feel like I got a life story sort of vibe from this but still some cool scenes. Maybe next time start with a bit of a backstory, intro to the dude...all I got are his high-intensity scenes. If you go and look at a video of the story of Tony Soprano you can find some very good videos that encapsulate him quite well. I think this is really well done though.
Just like all your tribute videos, this one is also great. But there's one thing I feel I gotta say - Why did you have to put the frame (and line) where he says (that awful sentence, which was justifiably ridiculed, and actually put Nic Pizzolatto dpwn): "Sometimes your worst self is your best self" That's a huge bummer!
I always thought that Vince Vaughan matched Michael Connelly’s description of Harry Bosch to a T, then along came the other guy who bought the TV franchise and the rest as they say is history… just sayin’ ✌️
Am I the only one who feels like Frank *SPOILERS* died for nothing ? I mean, he gave the cartel what they wanted, they were about to leave and suddenly, one of em decides he wants his suit ? That is weird to me, but maybe someone can give me his opinion about that fate.
+Sotnas He may have lived, yeah, but he had 3.5 millions worth of diamonds in his pocket. So he could either die since he had no money left to leave the US, either try to keep his suit
If you notice during the ending montage, the cartel had made a deal with the corrupt police/politicians and are seen standing next to the new mayor. Frank was fucked either way.
Hope you folks will enjoy my tribute video to Frank Semyon which I connected with a music theme from Casino movie.
+Grzegorz Grabowiec We need a video of Jordon Belford from wolf of the wall street.

Grzegorz Grabowiec Stannis Baratheon deserves a tribute.
Glad to see I'm not the only one who loved Frank on Season 2 of True Detective.

Season 2 of TD was criminally underrated.

Great acting horrible story and writing
@@patricktalbot8980 I thought the story was DEEP and complex.
There is a palpable tension in his performance. In his voice, body language and mannerisms. You can feel it always, Like a man at the verge of his breaking point. Vince Vaughn is a very underrated actor...he has great depth and a subtle malevolence, in this series....He did a terrific job.
To see this actor in this role for me was a shock!
But he did very well
Vladimir Rurikovich I was going to comment the same thing. He was awesome in Hacksaw Ridge.
He was fuckin amazing as Frank Semyon.
NIC PIZOLLATO WROTE IT FOR HIM!
And he nailed it
This made me a huge Vince Vaughn fan, i really hope in the future he ends up doing more serious roles.
Amazing writing...."I'll only need the one bullet. Maybe not today and maybe not tomorrow, but Osip, when the lights go out, that's me!" Nic Pizzolatto is a demented genius. "sometimes your worst self is your best self"
ive seen this season several times and never picked up on that line.
great video Grzegorz!
Vince Vaughn showed his true potential in this role
Frank reminded me of Michael from GTA V. I really liked both characters.
was looking for that comment !!

Loved frank, wish we had more about him in true detective!
Some people say it's not the size of the boat but rather the motion of the ocean. Well guess what, Ray? I can't even swim. Never even had a bath.
Thanks to your comment, I found that reddit post. You're a king for this
Vince is a great actor!!!

Ottima performance di Vince Vaugn, e grandioso tribute video
Vince had fun shooting this. Love him to bits.
Awesome work! I was ver concerned when I learned Vince Vaughn had been cast for season 2, but I ended up liking his character the most out of the entire season. His portrayal was really good and his last scene was fucking fantastic.
“Do this for me instead” 👑
“Not with me they don’t “. He might not have been sympathetic, but he was to be feared and respected.
Another awesome video, love you tv show tributes man!!
excellent work
Great. Great!
Vince was awesome in this. Truly awesome.
We need a tribute video for Ray Velcoro (same style as the Rustin Cohle tribute!)
+OliverMarcell You'll get it. Just be patient ;) Started working on it.
Can you do a video on Jax teller from sons of anarchy
people underestimate season 2, it's on par with season 1
"Can I help you something Cisco Kid?!" Fken OG Role Mr. Vaughn✊

***** Dobra robota, warto było też coś wrzucić z rozmowy Franka z synem Stana w tle. Nie mniej cała rola Vinca to było "czyste złoto"

his death was so avoidable. god damn, he had to ask for a ride.

brillent perfance by vince vaughn
and people say this season was bad.
Nice
R.I.P. Frank...
Well, it was pretty much way too long before I could really see that this is Vince Vaughn
Pretty sure the tune is house of the rise sun if anyone was wondering
powerful
Great story. Sad ending.
Thank you...
The Story of RAY VELCORO... WHEN? :D
Dam i was hoping frank made it. frank was the man

Świetne ale brakuje tej rozmowy z dzieckiem, że on już jest po 5 kluczowych zmianach w życiu.
So good
Solid effort!
is that house of the rising sun playing in the background?
badass as fuck
vince vaughn is a great actor brillent
Dostum nezaman baslayacan şu story hikayelerine..
If he would swallow the stones, he could give the jacket and possibly be alive.
Love season two
Do "The story of ELLIOT ALDERSON" from Mr Robot. When the show ends obviously ahahah
Can you reupload the story of nic sheff video /
Będzie "the story of Ray Velcoro"? :)
What's the background music?
It looks like a sample of House of the Rising Sun, by Animals
Animals, esatto. Canzone che fa parte della soundtrack di CASINO, Scorsese 's masterpiece, con De Niro, Joe Pesci, S. Stone e James Woods

Might be possible a tribute for Marty Hart, True Detective S1, despite you did one of Frank Seymon?
Dobry montaż, ale piosenka w tle w ogóle nie pasuję do roli Franka.

Vince vaughn should've played Jack reacher instead of tom cruise based on this performance.
Fajny montaż jak zwykle ale muzyka to troche srednio dobrana mowiac szczerze
he must not die.
do a ray velcoro tribute!
Thee apothecary of double speak
you should do one for patrick bateman american psycho lol
prefered a darker theme

Season 1 better. Ray should've killed when he found out he robbed him of his soul. That would've been a better end than what we got .
Please stop casting Vince outside comedy, You'll lose .
