  • Jotunheimen Adventure. Tent Camping - 6 days Solo Camping & Backpacking the North in the Fall. After a few hiking trips in heavy rain and thunder storms, I finally get sunshine and beautiful fall weather and colours! This is probably the most pretty and beautiful scenery I have ever hiked in among glaciers, turquoise lakes and mighty peaks, alps and pinnacles. Like Glacier National Park and the Alps mixed with the tundra of Iceland and Alaska.
    I spent 6 days camping and backpacking this most amazing national park in the north. A place filled with green lakes and hundreds og amazing glaciers. In Norse mythology, this is where the Jötunn or "frost giants", that Thor fought frequently, lived.
    This national park is located at 61.7° north
    Roughly as far north as:
    Donaldson and Fort Providence - Canada
    Wrangell-St. Elias National Park - Alaska
    The Faroe Islands

    The music in the last minute is as an ode to this incredibly awesome scenery. You were a lucky man to experience that beauty with its glaciers, its white-clouded blue skies reflected in the lakes and fjords. The early-autumn colours, brilliant in the sun, magnificent ! Ich freue mich für dich, Jarl ! Welch eine wunderschöne Erlebnis !

    When I see a new video of your appear, I fix a meal, fix some hot flavored coffee, then sit down in front of my computer so I can watch & enjoy every second.
    Thank you for speaking English in what little dialog you speak. Thank you for taking so much time to film & edit your real-life outdoor adventures to share with us. So much backtracking, to retrieve your photographic equipment & with a heavy pack on your back.
    15 minutes into this video - which Brand/model grey puffy jacket are you wearing?
    I love seeing all that clean water, waterfalls, snowpack, lakes & a part of the world I can enjoy, thanks to you.
    Mother Nature was most kind to you during this outdoor adventure; you have managed to capture the very best & most scenic that she has created.
    32 minutes into this video - what were those animals with horns?
    I'm riveted to my chair in front of my computer while watching every second of each & every video.

      @SummitSeeker546 Год назад +1

      @@NorwegianXplorer I got the Plex Solo tent from Z Packs for a rigorous trip requiring an Ultralight setup. Great tent, light weight but it has its issues. After using that tent I realized how much I really liked the Marmot tent. It’s relatively lightweight, easy to setup/tear down, has an air vent to minimize condensation issues, free standing (easy to move/adjust & clean debris out of tent), double walled (retains more warmth), when fly is velcro secured to tent poles and with 2 guyout points it is bomb proof, fly material doesn’t sag, relatively roomy for a 1P, has a large vestibule area, and has a small footprint (fits into tighter tent spots). My only complaint is I wish the mesh didn’t go so low on the side opposite the door. On cold windy nights it can be a bit breezy inside the tent. Other than that I’ve been quite pleased with it for shoulder season and summer usage. What’s on your agenda for 2023?
