More effort put into this game than any of Need for Speeds within the last decade

@@Inmagnito999 I wasn’t a fan of the Crew 1 & 2, but it really looks like they’re putting effort into making a polished game. The physics and details of the map look much better. Meanwhile Need for Speed is an unfinished dumpster fire each release.

It also runs very well. It is capped to 60fps tho so we can't really see how well it really runs but it does run at 1080p30 Ultra on the Radeon 680M and I'd say it runs very well.
I played the closed beta and I just don't get what you're getting at with need for speed. Unbound has great gameplay and the world is much more believable.

Today whilst playing NY to LA I was hoping motorfest got a race like that that’s also highly rewarding.
Loved the Beta, I hope they add other islands as updates later on too
I think Japan will be added. There was some hints in the Japanese playlist.

I think they should have done Alaska and Hawaii then we have every state in USA over all the crew games
@@James-ih2lb Alaska is also a great choice for snowy weather to come back but it's a very big ocean to cross and I doubt that Alaska going to be in any racing game.
He's not lying lol. It's a fact that in the playlist they constantly keep saying: we have to take you to japan some day, so it's reasonable for him to assume that there might be a japan map or maybe the crew 4 will be in japan. Plus the japan playlist was also by far the most detailed. Completely changed environments, cool cars, voice acted characters in the races, a lot of custom songs that are clearly in the game because of the playlist, etc...@@michaeldob7861
I love that shops have 3D interiors, makes it more realistic compared to TC2

They are 2d textures that makes an illusion of 3d from far away XD
They were used since 2010 in racing games

The game really does feel and look amazing. It’s a win for the racing genre for sure.

Forza motorsport coming out this year as well if i recall correctly, that might be the best racing game of 2023, unless you prefer the gamepad focused potato physics ones that is, nothing wrong with that

@@DoomiePookie with forza or crew motorfest? You can use a wheel with both, it supports all main brands Logitech, Thrustmaster, fanatec, simucube etc. + addons like shifters, handbrake and pedals

The city actually looks bigger than anticipated looks fun to explore
The thing that The Crew has done better than any other series is definitely just having a good freeroam experience. I still contend that The Crew 1 was better than The Crew 2 in this, but looking at Motorfest, I am just really excited to pick up the game so I can see the sights (and eventually make road trip talk videos).
I love the freeroam, I just wish there were 30 player servers.
Map is TINY, to call this game "The Crew" is a spit in the face to fans of both 1 and 2. The distance between the longest 2 corners of the TCM map is 29 km, while The Crew 1 is 148 km.

The ability to actually move the camera up and down is criminally underrated cause I don't think any other racing game does that. Not NFS not Forza not Crew 2 or Gran Turismo or Assetto Corsa and that honestly matters so much in a game that you know HAS VISUALS. You develop this beautiful world and not allow me to look up at it?

You can do it in Gran Turismo.
I think eta is the only game I can think of that doest that with the camera

the vegetation looks absolutely gorgeous
Finally someone appreciating this. Vegetation is a big point for me, if it doesn't move or react to player/cars in any game, it's a big let down for me. Just like crew 2 whose vegetation was a total let down.
@@premrajput5436 Another graphical thing people don't seem to talk about are the clouds haha. They honestly add so much with how they are actually "real" and not a skybox, they can be low and physically cover the mountain tops. Just another thing that adds to the overall visuals.
This game is just phenomenal and I can't wait to get it.
I’ll wait a month or 2 when the game is $25 and has less glitches and bugs.

@@helloproxy And what after? FH5 Is just an empty good looking game. Don't lie to yourself, there's not much to do after a couple hours of playing FH5. You can get the best cars in a couple of hours and then the game is just empty.

It truly is, I haven't feel hooked with a racing game in a long while, Motorfest was surely a pleasant surprise I can't wait to play again!
Motorfest actually surprised me and had me playing for a good portion. I’m definitely going to play this more then the other 2 games
i think a trip to hawaii with pants and matty would be cool. you guys could do it as an actual holiday or you could make a mini series together doing things kinda re-enacting the crew motorfest
The closed beta was one of the best gaming experiences I've had
Looking forward to this game. I'm getting major TDU nostalgia from the location names and everything. It'll be fun to see a map comparison between the original TDU/2 and this at some point as well
Yeh I’m the same, the canyon was the area where the house was in the demo version of TDU1 I’m sure?

@@Driftprodigy01 By the gameplay videos I've seen it doesn't look same scale as TDU but it's still gonna be good even if it's a smaller scale
@@Driftprodigy01 You can tell the original TDU is substantially bigger, but The Crew seems more detailed and dense. More of a representation of that particular part of the island instead of 1 to 1 scale.

The "Motorfest thing" are spots where you start a playlist/race. Since we can't unlock the playlist that involves that part of the map yet, it looks like that. They should be all over, and where a race location should be.

I’m happy to trade a big map for a more detailed and interesting one, better handling, graphics, larger range of steering motion on interior view, the addition of EVs, etc. Motorfest looks incredible!
Definitely still hoping for another USA style map for The Crew 3 though.
The Crew 3 better be a big add-on to Motorfest in the future. For now I'm still very excited about this fancy new map.This game got a good head start

Looking at how those boats on rabbit island were set up, and the marker, could imagine there's something set up for hovercraft or jet boats in the future.

Living in Hawaii for 4 years previously in my life, I’ll definitely have to try this out and see how much I can recognize lol

Hounalulu is way more detailed than you can imagine, I spent maybe 10 minutes just exploring a tiny section of back alleys and I found I think 4 hidden multi level car parks that were all uniquely designed and even some apartment building parking, everything fully exploitable and enterable which is a massive step up from the crew 2 cities and really any other game not even just car games, on foot games too such as gta 5, it just seems so much more in depth
This is honestly the best open world racer in recent years, ivory tower put alot of that soul passion in to this game, and a step ubisoft should take for all there games

I just preorderd this on Series X and after watching this i am very excited for it. I liked the crew 1 and 2 so I know I will really enjoy this entry.

Playing this on the Logitech setup will be good fun. Also, they've finally added full rotation of the steering wheel.

They’ve really done an amazing job with this game. Not only a big step up from The Crew 2, but it’s now giving the Forza Horizon series serious competition now. So many features make this game so interactive and immersive. The interior animations, the 900 degree steering, the car sounds which are so much better it’s insane, and the way the map works. Other open world racers gotta step it up now. Looking at u NFS
It's 540°, not 900°.
Fun fact, not all cars used 900° of rotation. So have your game use 900° on all cars is just as unrealistic as what Forza does.

There's at least 6 months between TCM and TDU. I think you will definitely be able to buy both.
Im glad they fixed the steering animation and made it feel so much more alive. The Crew 2 killed the first person immersion because of how minimal it was
Im just thinking to myself how it would be a cool feature to get button where you could manually extend and retract these dynamic spoilers like you could in real life with most of the supercars which has dynamic spoilers...for me it would add a bit more realism to this game

Did they do that thing where the stats of a street vehicle are almost unaffected by dirt/mud? Because I hated that a supercar went as fast as a raid truck in the 2nd game

I would love to see someone do a comparison between the crew's hawaii and test drive unlimited's since both claim to be realstic I'd like to see how similar they are
TDUs Hawaii is definitely like 10-15x bigger and more detailed in my personal opinion. wish we got it backwards compatible.

Not having an obscenely large map is a bummer.. but it looks great otherwise. Going on legitimate road trips will be missed.

At 7:50 that rock archway isnt actully real. Im from Oahu. They did a decent job at capturing my island and showing off some real landmarks and places but they did add alot of things that arent anything like my island lol
