Racing games, traditional ones anyway, you don't get out of your car. I know GTA features races as well as other opened world games but that doesn't really make them a pure racing game like The Crew Motorfest which is 100% about racing. Anyway, arcade racers are those that you cam control easily on a controller and are meant to be easier to pick up and play and easier to digest as a gamer (this does not mean you have an easier game). Other racing games like Gran Turismo, Assetto Corsa Competizione, iRacing, Forza Motorsport; those are simulation games meant to be as realistic as possible and usually are encouraged and in some cases required for you to play with a simulation rig (i.e. a steering wheel, pedals, and a shifter with your mounting base). The cars handle realistically, no mechanics like rubber banding, tuning is important, car knowledge has more weight when it comes to knowing your displacement and the difference between a Supercharger and a Turbocharger.

As a day 1 fan of the original TDU (I should say day -1 to be more accurate) who played the beta recently, I can confirm that Motorfest is bringing back the thrill that made TDU the greatest driving game of all time by far. It's not perfect, because some of the original's distinctive features are missing (although some should be added later), but the feeling of driving a car is even more immersive (direct comparison with several of my old favorites in HC mode, like the AM Vanquish or Ferrari 512 TR). The island is brand new yet feels so familiar. It's smaller in size though, but felt way bigger (over 3 days of play so it could be short lived). Additional islands will come in future updates. I didn't like the Crew and took a pass on the 2nd game, and almost passed on trying boats in Motorfest. Well, I'm so glad I did try them because the variety is bringing so much to the experience! And if player homes are making a comeback in future updates, they're going to bring a whole new dimension to the overall experience. I don't want to bury TDU SC before having the chance to play it, but while Ivory Tower is largely made of the team responsible for TDU 1, TDU SC is headed by the guy in charge of the B team responsible for the TDU 2 debacle. The kylotonn team otoh isn't known for AAA projects. They've made it clear that they wanted to include features left out by Ivory Towers however, so we'll see. I did not find the previous title crew 2 fun in the slightest reason lack of sound and detail or cars. However motor fest is a huge ball changer! Already placed my pre-order looking forward for this much better all around well polished crew racing game.
Surely they didn't have to follow what Forza has already made. Playlists and festivals have been a thing since 2012 when the original Forza Horizon came out. People have been begging Forza to make a horizon in Japan and Ubisoft could have really capitalised on that opportunity and beat Forza to it. It seems as though the people making car games don't actually know what car enthusiasts want, or just aren't listening and only make what is trending and this is a clear example of that. This is just the same recipe with a slightly different twist. If you want car people buying car games you have to do something different to what is already on the market
I would be totally fine if the map was exactly the same as TDU. Just give us new cars and the features we were used to and we have a deal. Btw, my guess is that if this game succeeds, it will kill the sales for Solar Crown.
If Solar Crown pull off what it promises to at least a decent level it's set to be the biggest driving game possibly ever. This is basically Horizon for those who don't have XBox. I wish them luck but it's not trying to do the same thing.
I hope they completely rework or completely remove the summit.. its impossible to earn the cars avaliable and throughout the whole life of the crew 2 I only unlocked 1 car from the summit, and I even preordered TC2

Man am I the only one that thinks there should be usable mirrors
Does anyone know if there will be garage like in the crew 2?
If you want car people buying car games you have to do something different to what is already on the market
anyone see the supra fade into existence when it was switching from cutscene to gameplay?
Are you playing a racing game on a frikin keyboard?
Having played like that since the first NFS Most Wanted when I didn't know any better.
Can you play without wifi ?
What kinda question is that? Yeah you can play without WiFi, as long as you have a cable connected to the console, for your Internet provider.
@@OneWingdAnge1 bro i mean offline without wifi not even a cable
I dont buy no2, but this one's is pre-order 🙂
Wheel support?
what about wheel capability?
This game looks amazing, I've been have alot of fun with the bikes in TC2
Bring out the quad bikes mate 👍🏻
Are there animals and pedestrians like the precious games?
is this game gonna be 4K 60hz or 1440p 120hz?
It's 4K 144fps on PC
I would be totally fine if the map was exactly the same as TDU. Just give us new cars and the features we were used to and we have a deal.
Btw, my guess is that if this game succeeds, it will kill the sales for Solar Crown.
If Solar Crown pull off what it promises to at least a decent level it's set to be the biggest driving game possibly ever. This is basically Horizon for those who don't have XBox. I wish them luck but it's not trying to do the same thing.
Is it still online or internet based ? If so nah
So that’s why the game felt somehow familiar to me, they basically took the map from Test Drive Unlimited 😂
The only new racing game i will be buying this year
I hope they completely rework or completely remove the summit.. its impossible to earn the cars avaliable and throughout the whole life of the crew 2 I only unlocked 1 car from the summit, and I even preordered TC2
Pay the 17 dollars for the Ubisoft plus. You get the ultimate edition with it
And before the year pass is up you have paid almost double
Are there older cars as well? I mean no 60 year old classics, I mean 10 or 15 year old cars. "my golden era of cars" so to say
