I think Grim Hustles advice is valid for an amount of pain that is still manageable. When it gets to, say….broken back levels of pain, or fibromyalgia levels of pain…that is a whole different level that requires much more than self help can assist. Sadly, I sometimes forget that what I think is good advice for me is, frankly, bs for others

Only people who have reached the top know how true this message is. The pain he speaks of is extended and psychological, the system is designed to break the spirit of anyone who tries to make their mark. The only way to succeeded is to completely detach from what anyone says, especially those closest to you, and few have the character and determination to do that.

Exactly, ignoring this can be your end. When I was a teenager I hated going to school, it was very painful, I didn't want to go at all, but they put it in my mind that I needed to go anyway, so I went, I faced all the psychological abuse for 3 years. I ignored the pain, if I hadn't ignored it, and having removed myself from that hell, as I so wanted, would have avoided horrible trauma.

This is along the lines of what I like to say about happiness. Do not do what you think will make you happy, do what you know is right and happiness will follow.
Pain is a gift for the mentally strong and the biggest curse for a "pizda". It is a source of fuel to enforce any change necessary. It is a signal that something is very wrong and has to be taken care of. Consciously you can rationalize your bad decisions but your sub-conscious mind will punish harshly you for the treason on yourself. There are 2 ways to deal with it: 1. Numb yourself and die as a failure 2. Follow the signal to its source and solve your problems one by one Listen I do not say you have to suffer endlessly. Take brakes, and recover. What I mean push hard, fueled by the pain, and recover. Repeat until you win. P.S Yes, it will take years (maybe even decades) and you will suffer (greatly), but in the end you will become who you are meant to be Be honorable

Pain is a gift for the mentally strong and the biggest curse for a "pizda". It is a source of fuel to enforce any change necessary. It is a signal that something is very wrong and has to be taken care of. Consciously you can rationalize your bad decisions but your sub-conscious mind will punish harshly you for the treason on yourself.
There are 2 ways to deal with it:
1. Numb yourself and die as a failure
2. Follow the signal to its source and solve your problems one by one
Listen I do not say you have to suffer endlessly. Take brakes, and recover. What I mean push hard, fueled by the pain, and recover. Repeat until you win.
P.S
Yes, it will take years (maybe even decades) and you will suffer (greatly), but in the end you will become who you are meant to be
