- Welcome to Mechwarrior 5: Mercenaries DLC "Rise of Rasalhague" playthrough. I will cover the whole gameplay experience, storyline, game mechanics and new Battlemechs that will come with the addon. The biggest parts of the new DLC are a whole new mini storyline that consist of 12 unique missions, the new Crusader Mech and some new gameplay mechanics that involve competing mercenary companies. Mechwarrior 5: Mercenaries is a game about stompy Mech action. You take command of a mercenary company and try to grow your income, salvage Mechs and hire Mechwarriors. The game includes a campaign with a vast storyline.

The gameplay of Mechwarrior 5 is split in two different parts. On the one hand you will have to manage your resources, hire new crew members, outfit your Mechs and travel through the Inner Sphere star map. But the action starts as soon as you get into the cockpit of your Battlemech yourself to fulfill contracts on the battlefield to earn more C-Bills and progress the story. I will review the weapon systems, battlemechs, show you how to build the loadouts and train your pilots and take a look at all the different mission types and upgrades of the MW5 Heroes of the Inner Sphere DLC.

* Rebuild Blood Asp
* Investigate IATMs
* Install Plasma cannons
* Rebuild Boars Head
* Rebuild Stone Rhino
* Install Twin Railguns on a mech
* Figure out Mech swords
* Install Fire Control on Carapace and adjust ammo
* Rebuild/replace Dire Wolf
* Test Command Console (didn't work previously, has it been updated?)
* Find another Targeting computer Mk.8
* Install Stealth Suit or Null signature onto all Mechs (ongoing)
* Refit Stalker into Pulse Laser Boat
* Build a LAM
* Test ECCM
* Find more LRM ATM+3 (P) ammo
* Find Spall Liner or Hardened Armour
* Find more Jump Jets Class Royalty
Will he get all of this done before the new DLC drops? I don't think so, but we'll see how he goes 😛

(Yeah, its fine when you play it like the elephant in the porcelain shop, no critique about play-styles here. Every playing style is a valid one! But at least you should KNOW THE RULES ... Hehehe).
For PPI mechs to "make sense", I feel there should be a scaling structure reduction and the speed and acceleration should be based on the total weight. Add those things, and I think it's fine. You're just exceeding the rated maximum at the cost of structure durability and speed.
So if you want good salvage, staying on defense missions does the trick. At around 500k c-bill mark they are dropping serious stuff.
If you let the IA run a defense mission with super good mechs and just go on with your day, I wonder how long they could hold.

Well, it looks like the only challenge this playthrough has to offer is not to go bankrupt.
One thing that I still would like to see is how the Grizzly and the Kodiak would play in this game with these mods. They added the Kodiak to the clan mod didn't they? I know the Grizzly is in there, but I wonder how it plays compared to the vintage stuff. GBL was my jam back in the day, and those were the two mechs that I played the most when I was younger. Stop playing MechWarrior around Merc 2 cuz I started going to college and had work, but played the hell out of GBL when it was a thing. Because of the new game mechanics, I'm wondering how they operate under MW5. No one has done any demo of that. So I'm curious to know what they're like. There are plenty of videos of the Kodiak in MWO to give me an idea of how it operates, but with these mods I wonder how they both play in MW5. I just like to know.
Yes, they added the Kodiak with the CI mod. It even has a hero version, called "Cale". Though it does not show up as a hero with the yellow boarders, it has the hero quirks. Ungodly tanky with almost 1200 armor points, and runs a freakin STAGGERING 71 kph iirc.
I have all the DLC so far and still using a lot of older mods without problems. Will see if it continues being good to me that way:) I want the Sunder like it is supposed to be...big, not so pretty but loaded to the gills with destruction! I would love a separate heat vision mod. Even in the MS games, the Mauler didn't have good upper rotation.

I do have a question is there an atlas ppi variant in Yaml? Cause I feel like that would be a fun assault mech to run
The PP variants are from CI. Yes, there's an Atlas and it even has a custom model. I hope Bara finds one
anyone here know what the earliest point in Battletech (PC) that you can get a King Crab in? do i have to finish the civil war storyline with whatsherface? or can i get it whenever?
You can get one at any point. I don't think loot is tied to story progression locks. Just have to find a high enough difficulty mission that you'll encounter them. G'luck
Who else noticed that the Mauler was over 170 tons?
Wasn't the max tonnage on the mauler 135 tons?
Also what about that gun that goes "brrrr" but bigger?
I feel like the overweight mech is too OP without any drawbacks. I think it should be slowed down on a ratio related to how much it's overweighted. And the structure should take damages when falling, or supercharger be less efficient.
Like the weight straining the frame of the mech. There are reasons for the weight limit.

Dont buy the DLC until the mods are repaired, then you can actually finish this session and play the new DLC with mods

@@Cenot4ph yes, but if you want to show what the DLC brings, te content must be "unaltered" . Also if you want be the first to showcase the story line on your channel, you can't really wait.

dein mauler hat nutzlose ammo in den beinen weil die mfml launcher nutzen regulär lrm ammo . die royal jumpjets haben höheren boost per second + mod kommst du auf ca. 14-15m/s anstatt 9 mit regulär clan jumpjets
