I love that the double heat sink (C) are being improved...the heat dissipation rate goes up. IS doubles have a dissipation of 0.2, the ones you picked in the first contract had 0.36. Wait until you see the 2nd and 3rd gen Clan doubles, I think they're awesome!

Thanks for finishing the Bounty Hunter missions, Bara. I thought the ending was thematically accurate. The Bounty Hunter described himself as cutthroat but fair, which I guess describes the mercenary life in the Battletech Universe. 🙂
It seems, that BH was a capellan through and through. He said, he needed to punch out, but I fear, that he should be punched out of existence - just for good measure.

We found that either the heat was too much and you could perma-shutdown enemy mechs or it was useless compared to other weapons. So we made the decision to do damage only. The heavy plasma is basically a long range energy AC/20, but with more ammo. Keep an eye out for a superheavy plasma. It does a lot of AOE damage and is my favorite :) It's important to note that plasma does NOT benefit from PPC quirks. There are mechs with plasma quirks that can make them stupid powerful. The KJ with PPCs will always outperform the plasmas. As for the Mech Gatling cannon, even though the ammo is very limited, there is no other weapon in game that can do as much damage per ton of ammo.
yes and this is why I think clan invasion kind of sucks, you took a weapon that was unique and very cool and you made it ....yet another weapon...what you could have done was made the heat damage less, with 2 p rifles it takes 2 full bursts up-close to over heat a mech, you could have turned that into 3 or 4 even and you know what even unchanged that's still 2 full bursts from 2 weapons that need ammo and have a cool down and meanwhile I can do the same with 3 clan heavy flamers that have no cooldown and a respectable dps and just cook everything that comes close and dps them down with just the flamers, so how is th plasma rifle OP ? as far as I can tell yaml damage drop off does also seem to effect the heat damage because at range their kind of not good at over heating mechs it seems. like if anything heat based weapons should also generate more heat for the mech that uses them because they all seem to be quite good as long as you stack enough of them even regular flamers can own everything.
FYI Bara, the Heavy Plasma (P) does not do heat damage to the enemy. The only ones I have found so far are the Clan Plasma Cannon (does 3 heat damage) and something called the TSEMP Cannon (does 60 heat damage). None of the Plasma Rifles (Super Heavy (P), Plasma Rifle, Plasma Rifle (P) or Hyper Plasma) do heat damage to the enemy. Now, the ARC lasers do heat damage, but we are talking plasma weapons.

The other was less flat damage, more heat damage. But with the Clan Invasion mod, I can't find those any more. I seem to remember the clan plasma cannon doing more than 3 heat.
Bara, another upgrade that costs very little, but will GREATLY improve the entire lance, is the clans MASC system. But not just any of them. There's a specific MASC that is .5 tons. And is also LIMITLESS. You can quite literally (as in YOU) use MASC forever. Highly recommend using this for a slower lance, as it can make them run as fast as lights.
@ 9:00 or so- Those MGC's would have done the trick nicely- the two can feed from the same bin without problem; ammo count is fairly high in the ammo can for it. That having been said, they'll do better on arm mounts with recoil systems added- like the CCannon, if it jams in the field, it stays jammed until the op is done. They have 'small' jam chance, something like 0.09% per shot, but the fire rate means that it'll jam sooner or later. The recoil system has a -15%, so it runs well. just have to remember to fire and pause.
You could put both the Heavy Plasma Rifles into the Lich Warhammer, given its PPC Quirks. Also I believe the Heavy PPC quirks it has might also work with the Heavy Plasma Rifles, considering they're Heavies and it work with PPC quirks. It also seems the Heavy Plasma Rifles run a lot cooler than the Heavy PPCs. Making for another monster of a mech, and thematic given the the Heavy Plasma Rifles Green PPC energy projectiles and the mech being called the Lich.
An endgame Marauder II instead, would have been much better. And it would be ok that you finished it after quite a while. It could had been a new King Crab Carapace that we always go for in every playthrough.
the thing with all scripted missions is they are meant to be played vanilla, all of the dlc story lines are easy with mods. nothing wrong with mods after you beat the game for some second life fun. anyway at least we saw some new content.
MG cannon only allows 1 ammo bin per section and only if you have cannon mounted there. So if you set it in the right torso, you put your bin with it. MGC is deliberately nerfed by the designer because it is seriously overpowered with multiple ammo bins. However, it is really useful as a backup weapon with 1 bin. You should give it a try, especially on a mech that has Ballistics in each arm.
Heavy plasma looks about useless to me. I didn't see the opposing forces being destroyed as much as harassed and your team doing most of the killing. I like it when the team does more than I do. I have had one merc outfit drop and they were on my side so I gave up on this bounty hunter crap. I don't think it is all that good to begin with. I am waiting for the new DLC. I hope it is as good as the Rasalhague has been. That was a delight to play it. I also enjoyed the Hanse Davion DLC...loved cutting the enemy territory in bits heheheh. OP is always the best way to go!!!
The PPC Kaiju was definitely much better I feel especially at extreme ranges and without significant heat the Plasma was just ok. Also I would really like to see the Bounty Hunter in the Mechlab to see how they set it up.
Question: Why is Baradul only getting 2 million C-Bills when the 10 million is going a 70/30 split? That should be 3 million, not 2 million. Math isn't my strong suit so please correct me if I am wrong.
The Bounty hunter marauder is a nice mech. But you can buy it way earlier, and the her version is better. There is another marauder, almost as good, forget which it is. Funny thing, both are better and have more firepower than the Marauder II in the vanilla. That was a Mech that needed an update, we got the Longbow instead.
I mean thr BH does nothing different than we do when we take missions against someone we built up a good rep with. I agree, it took too long and we got way ahead and it was super easy. Wish they had continued it
I found Inferno SRMs and LPLs to be an absolute cheat code. Enemies would overheat as soon at they fired and I'd just cut the cockpit out. It was funny, but got boring quick.
That MAL-PPIM is too close to arcade like in God mode. It amazes me how tight you run with money, especially now that the Mercenary missions are available, I ended my last play through with over 1 billion in c-bills - level 24 bounty hunter. Cash like that let's you explore a lot of options.
05:10 was sehen meine trüben Augen CM50 Muni, 1 Tonne = 1 Rakete = 25 Tonnen, logischerweise nur in Piraten Mechs verbaubar, bei den normalen sprengst da sofort die Höchstgewichtsgrenze. Ja die Piraten Waffen sind anders als die regulären, wenn Plasma drauf steht heisst das nicht zwingend das man damit Gegner aufheizen kann, und die doppelten Werte stimmen dann natürlich auch nicht, also wenn zB optimale Reichweite 550 Meter steht sind es auch 550 Meter und keine maximal 1100 Meter, die zahl stimmt dann nämlich nicht. muss man drauf achten. Wenn du aber gegnerische Mechs abschalten willst, musst Magpulse verbauen, da sind die Ratz fatz rot und dunkelrot und bewegen sich aufgrund Hitzeprobleme keinen Meter mehr.

Well there is always hoping next year will be good. In 2024 we are getting a Smoke Jaguar DLC campaign. I'm only hoping they add a vast deal of content as a massive overhaul of the game. Not just one mech and a handful of variants like they have been doing. I need my clan tech, and yes I am going to get the mods soon. Just waiting for the next DLC to drop and the mod makers updating everything.
Pretty sure he said that plasma is counted as PPCs under the hood. So all that PPC stuff was applied to the plasma. But based on what I have seen of mod the I don't think heat damage would be modified. Which is why they just killed stuff before ever over heating things.

At 3052 it would be cool , at 3080 not so much. Really it is about a piece of in game lore. Pirahna games has repeatedly shown knowledge of game lore at the same time demonstrating they do not understand it. Their thinking is we wll throw this in for the people who play the game with minatures not realizingwho their audience is. They are really offensive sometimes but no one else is doing these games right now. Sucks to be us.

The BH Marauder can be souped up to be an over 100 KPH fast velocity PPC shooter. Good for defenses and Recon, actually.

Im a console player and I got the BH before i got max intel. Definitely good for mid game. And medium level missions.

I think these mods have made the game too easy. The game never intended for you to be able to run around one-shotting assault mechs.

KJ, completely ignored equipment bonuses, removed PPCs, left capacitors and PPC targeting system.....
