This is a fun build. I also run a similar build that uses a LB-10 as the gun. Hang back in the first part of the match raining lurms, then cautiously move forward in the second half targeting open armor.
Confession time: back when I started MWO in 2016 I bought the Gray Death and outfitted it with a UAC5, 2LRM5 and 4 medium lasers thinking it would be a great swiss army knife. I miserably failed though I found it pretty funny.
Exactly what I was going to say. He saw someone else running this same build and decided to bring it back. And I gotta admit, this looks like a FUN build, something right out of Macross!
I love my shadow hawk. I did ttd’s beginner build, light engine 250, double heat sinks, and two ac5s and an ac2. Just firing it all in group one does this cool polyrhythm thing that rocks cockpits. It never overheats. Only downside is a little limited on ammo.
SHD's are always good. Always. Plus they are one of *the* classic Battletech mechs. Super odd, catch all canon builds...always cool looking with the big shoulder gun...can take a decent beating...yup. 3025 Battletech. Love 'em. Shadowhawks for life!
Reminds me of my support king crab. 3xLRM10s on chain fire and 3x LPLs with a big enough engine to get 60kph and a targeting computer. I'd lumber in, peppering my target with missiles and then hit exposed components with the pulse lasers, sharing armor as needed. Lots of fun when you're able to coordinate with your team.
I think the LRM's are more the primary weapon on this set up and since he's fire support, less in the armor tree and more in the sensor tree to get locks faster. I would also take armor from the arms for more LRM ammo
I run a version a little like this with a light engine and 3 srm-4's and a med laser. It's more of brawl-support build. Its one of my favorites since I came back to the game.
I hate lrm builds but you have such a great attitude and your combination of different weapons and being willing to go in and share armour means I like watching your lrm builds. You've cured me of lrm hate Baradul. That is until I hear "Incoming missile" again. I swear I hear those words in my sleep sometimes :D I've said it before on your videos but I love your attitude so much . I truly admire your ability to stay calm. I rage so hard in a lot of my games from pure frustration but your videos are helping me be more controlled. I was wondering if you'd consider putting your daily dose videos into playlists. Maybe by mech weight or class. I know you have a lot of videos but maybe just some of the later ones and from now on. They are such short videos that I'd love to be able to just put a list on and sit back and watch :D Thanks for your efforts. Your daily dose is my daily smiles :D
One of my first "decent" builds was a Griffin with 2xLL, 4xLRM5s and ECM. It was hilarious to play jumping around everywhere and just chainfiring the missiles.
Klasse Gameplay! Lernt man echt noch einiges.
hey Baradul...big fan bro, love your videos...like a rainbow? have you tried the 6 missile slot catapult with 6 lrm 5s on it? I named mine Skittles =-) it will empty an enemy ams pretty quickly, and you will have enuff missiles to basically hold the stream on a target
My first Mech back in beta was an atlas K with an ac2 lrm20 2lpl 2mpl and single heatsinks I thought that the atlas could be a good jack of all trades fire support... Boy was I stupid
It won’t ghost heat but it does generate more heat than if you were just to do 1 MRM30. 3 MRM10 does same damage as 1 MRM30 your just adding unnecessary heat to your build.
@@WeaponMasterX_MWO Also unlike SRMs or LRMs, smaller launchers for MRMs don't fire faster. MRM10 and MRM30 have the same cooldown. You do save a ton though - MRM10s are 3 tons each, one MRM30 is 10 tons, but that's arguably negated by the extra heat.
Also, videos like this make me want to play MWO again. I swear you're the biggest reason MWO is still as alive as it is, Baradul. Honestly.
You turned that second game around with your support fire and the pressure you put on so many mechs. Well done Bara!

That loudout would've worked on Battletech, had UAC's were available.
He saw this on his last game and got the itch.
I thought the same thing when I saw the thumbnail lol

@@maxomai Seconded!
Very unique build, not many people tend to do a weapon mix like this 👍
And it works! Definitely a second line build, as B says. Really fun!
seeing as you never used a cool shot it would makes sense to drop a DHS and upgrade the smalls to er mediums.

Not a lot of firepower for an 100 ton assault you can fit the same build on a heavy and go faster
I love that SHD build, Bara! In HBS, I run 3 ac/2 + 3 Lrm-5. No armor, plenty of rear guard fire support!
I think the LRM's are more the primary weapon on this set up and since he's fire support, less in the armor tree and more in the sensor tree to get locks faster. I would also take armor from the arms for more LRM ammo
Bara, you and the versatile SHawk deserve two thumbs up!!! loved the fire support!
Nice build. Good for all ranges. A wonderful build all in all.
It’s not an effective build it was just for his own fun. That’s why he didn’t do a lot of damage in those matches.

crazy awesome build!
RAC5 is one of my favorite weapons
Can't resist the sound of DAKKA in the morning

Hahah, sounds fun to play. Seems very similar to what we have here.
Dule rotary AC2 with 2 SRM4s and 2 med lasors. Great brawler build with some reach.
Baradul: "I like the rainbow more"
My Brain: "TASTE THE RAINBOW MF!"
:D
Not even close to being overheated. Ok streamer ... who are you and what did you do with Baradul.??? I want him back!!! :-))
Great games. Odd choice of 4 x LRM 5. Seems like you need a half ton more ammo for them.
Unbelievable. good game.
My goodness, do you have enough LRM tubes on that thing?
Reminds me of a build (Gladiator, I think) that Bara once made.
"Question: how many lasers did you put into that Mech? Answer: All of them!"
20 LRM tubes is not a lot at all actually it’s quite few. Most LRM mechs carry 40+ tubes
@@WeaponMasterX_MWO For a 5/8/3 SHawk, 20 is just right!

Fantastic!
Nice build, I have to ask, how many games do you go through to get these good ones. My record is so hit n miss. Really depends on the team
I imagine with a build like that he'll need all day to get two decent matches. There is so much wrong with the thing.
I felt this was coming after this baby finished a match you aired.
I think I'd drop the jump jets for more lrm ammo. You are runnig 80 kph afterall and both matches you ran out of lrm ammo.
This is my kind of build. Just mid-range harassment chip damage.
What WAS your first mech?
And this build is the definition of fire support. Stay back and deliver a ton of damage.

Try 3x MRM10s + UAC10 on a Shadowhawk next.
why not just an MRM30 instead? three MRM10 will ghostheat, no?

The litte Lrms wont do much if thy got ams
The smaller the LRM launcher, the more HP each individual missile has - so LRM5s still have a good chance to break through
I need a battle buddy!
Oh, Hello Kodiak, mmm you're looking gooood, nice, nice...
Oh hey RIFLEMAN!!! PEW PEW PEW PEW!! JAGGER PEW PEW PEW PEW!! AWESOME AWESOME PEW PEW PEW PEW RATATATA!!
Kodiak... :(
The art of adaptation. :D
Is it wrong that I have a cyclops with 7 LRM5s for the same lovely rainbow effect?
Well considering you are putting the firepower of a medium mech on a 90 ton assault mech......
@@WeaponMasterX_MWO Your replies to these bad builds are giving me life.
Sexy build. I like it.
Can't watch this in more than 720p anymore..
Weird. Works for me.
Me build Mrm 100 awesome in MW 5 moded it glorious
Back when ac5s firrd way faster
