LOST in CONGO and hunting VENOMOUS SNAKES with THE PYGMIES

  • While in the Democratic Republic of Congo, we were invited into the forest to hunt with a group of Pygmies. This group is an African Tribe that is known for their short stature, and their hunting ability. During our adventure together, we found all sorts of things I didn't know were considered food, and also attacked by a mamba... which y'know... was fun.
This is the second part of the adventure. In the first... we had to escape a governor that labeled us spies. We bought a crocodile before flooding our motorbikes a few kilometers later. The sun was setting, we were stuck, so we went the the nearest village with an offer… our crocodile for a night stay in their village. They accepted.

From the young girls collecting leaves to the elders building hooks, bows, and other tools needed for the days catch. They share joy, laughter, art, music, and even food. Watching this makes me realize how we're disconnected from the source, from the forest, of course some things are a bit extreme for us who born in the cities, but the contact foot and land, walk in the forest... For sure makes us happier. I'm sure these tribes are much more happier than many first world people. Also, the knowledge, respect and skills they have with the forest is incredible, we can notice the pure joy on their faces. This disconnection from the source and unconsciousness about what we are, are one of the main reasons of most mental health issues currently. The differences in both culture & attitude / energy is palpable - I'm not a black person, so I cannot (and will not even attempt) to pretend that I understand the complexities of the sentient human experience for persons with higher levels of melanin. But, I am a human as well, and I'm capable of practicing / implementing critical thought and introspection, along with objectivity.
I've had the pleasure of speaking with immigrants from African nations. From the conversations I've had personally with a number of black African immigrants / visitors to the US, the resounding issue that was most touched on wasn't regarding wyte racism - it was centered around their general disliking / distrust of black Americans, specifically those born in the US. Many feel black Americans have squandered their opportunities as legitimate American citizens. I heard a lot about "wasted opportunities / wasted generations of black Americans," and how black Africans would basically give up their right arm(s) for a fraction of the rights and opportunities afforded to the black American populous. I was honestly taken aback when I heard black Africans tearing into Black American culture, including the lack of cohesion with regard to the family unit / home / black atomic family. I suppose coming from the continent that birthed humanity & that has, for the most part, retained it's cultural norms and traditions in the face of colonialism / endless civil wars / warring tribes / widespread slave trades, HIV / AIDS crisis in certain regions, multi-generational poverty, etc. they struggle to understand the nuances concerning black American cultural norms / standards. Black Africans are hard-working and proud, even if destitute...they come here and see these black communities riddled with poverty, joblessness, hopelessness, urban decay, violence and reliance on the state / federal govt's for sustenance...it's understandable why they're so confused and taken back by it all. The US has historically been the wealthiest nation on the planet - it's known as the "land of opportunity..." our freedoms and rights are world-renowned...yet, they see droves of black Americans doing little to nothing with the opportunities they've heard of all the way back in Africa.
The problem is, they often lack context and pretense for what ails black America. That said, I've spoken to many that simply don't accept the reasoning for it all; their view is, if we can overcome hardships in Africa and still retain our joy, peace, sense of purpose and community, then there's no excuse for it in the greatest nation on the planet.
The onus for much of the problems black America faces falls directly at the feet of the Southern Democrats...instead of providing black communities / communities of color with a leg-up, the wyte southern Dems chose to provide only hand-outs in the form of gov't programs. This didn't incentivize work or a sense of community...it incentivized laziness and disaffected generations of black Americans. If you doubt what I'm saying, research the biggest, oldest black communities in the US; they're ALL Democrat-run cities...and they're all riddled with crime, poverty and black-on-black violence via gangs. Baltimore, Memphis, Chicago, STL, Detroit, etc. All have been under the control of Dems for decades - and things have only gotten worse and worse.
TBH, watching this video made me wish that black America as a whole was more like these Congolese - they're happy, friendly, welcoming, hard-working, and quite respectable. It's so very sad how toxic black culture and communities have become in the "greatest nation in the world." I have no idea what could be done to change things for the better as of now...but I do know one thing for certain...the Democrats have done more to harm, disaffect and disempower black America / communities of color than anything or anyone else. When you take a step back and look objectively at the situation from the macroscopic, it truly appears that the actual enemy of black America has been the very partisan political system / politicians they've placed their collective faith and trust in for the last 70+ years. If that's not the case, why have these communities of color suffered so much while being under the control of the Left? If this is the Dems idea of "helping empower communities of color," I'd hate to see what they'd do to a demographic they sought to destabilize and destroy.

@@ericsmith6677 Please, do not be ridiculous. Almost every country in Africa was colonized by a European nation such as France, England, Spain, Portugal, Italy, etc...with Ethiopia 🇪🇹 (in East Africa, near Somalia and Eritrea) being the only exception, and Liberia which was a point of entry for the U.S.A in Africa. Hence, Liberia's capital city to this day is named "Monrovia" (after a past U.S. President 🇺🇸) despite Liberia being located in West Africa (not far from Nigeria 🇳🇬, Ivory Coast, Ghana, or Benin🇧🇯 as reference points for you). For example, this video takes place in my country of origin, the Democratic Republic of the Congo 🇨🇩 in central Africa. The country was colonized by Belgium 🇧🇪, and during their rule, King Leopold the second of Belgium killed over ten millions Congolese, while cutting the hands of many millions others, just to exploit our rubber gathered from these trees that you see in the jungle. It was a genocide which was denounced by another European journalist named Edmond Morel. I know this much despite my younger age, as I am not even 25 years old yet. So that shows that you can also educate yourself to learn more about other cultures instead of just denying the colonization of Africa, while stating that even South Africa was not really colonized, since only European prisoners were placed there- how can you make such outrageous claims!!! By the way, I think you mentioned South Africa because of "Apartheid" which is a political system based on racial segregation that was put in place by the European settlers and colonizers in South Africa. This officially ended in 1996, after Nelson Mandela and his countrymen prevailed. By the way, Nelson Mandela became the first ever black president after that. Please learn, and stop making such ridiculous statements. Colonization did in fact take place in Africa, Asia, Australia, and in the Americas, too. It is mainly because of colonization that you have western countries today living better off than most countries that you have abusively named "third world countries" or "developing nations," simply because you stole and exploited their natural resources for centuries to develop your industries in order to build your countries. You got schooled today by a boy from DR.Congo, I am afraid. Stay safe!😊

The respect and genuine, non-judgemental friendship that you show these people of the jungle is evident in the footage you shoot. The world needs more adventurers like you who leave their preconceived notions at home, avoid the beaten path, and completely immerse themselves in the culture of each new land they visit. Greetings from a tamer but comparatively boring part of the African continent.

That's not the green plant you're thinking of, that's wild dagga! Smoking it has never gotten me "high" tbh, but if you put it in a (large) herb vaporizer and let it cook for a little bit, the vapor definitely has some euphoric effects and also tastes great, versus the smoke that tastes awful and is very harsh.
