Hey bro! this was dope! I do have a question on something you mentioned and thats about stock footage websites! I feel like im approached by another stock footage website every month.. curious which you think are the best to actually make a little money!
Very interesting stuff - thanks for laying it all out there. I do have a question related to a common mantra in YT videos: leave a comment, click the like button, etc. Do these actions by viewers affect the "algorithm" and drive more views or is there some other motive to encourage commenting, etc. ?
Wow man, thanks a lot for sharing this. Being a sensitive subject on its own I think you have approached it neatly and have lifted a lot of the mystery of how it works for me. Spot on the advice of liking what you are doing to be able to weather and even somewhat still enjoy/learn from the unavoidable struggling times.
Really enjoyed the video and very insightful, especially regarding the locations of your viewers and how that impacts your ability to earn on specific videos. I was wondering if you had any thoughts/tips on how accounts that have predominantly built their following on Shorts can translate that success to regular RUclips videos?
So much value in this video! Thank you for being so transparent about all of this. I’m just starting my RUclips channel and I’ll definitely use all your recommendations. Thanks again!
Thanks for sharing all the Insights Mark! Had my fair share of totally unexpected views lately, 7k on one video, which I consider a lot whilst having basically no followers at all before posting. Even tho I haven't posted since a month again that really was motivating to see. I guess most people "fail" due to inconsistency.. haha good reminder.
Yesss man, always nice when RUclips rewards you with a video that pops. Consistency everytime for sure... people would quit if they loved making this videos too :)
I'm glad you went into detail about your commission work. As a filmmaker, I create content centered around my day in the life as a young creative trying to make it. However I also post client films on there as well and view it as a top funnel method to convert into actual sales. Keep up the great work my guy
Hey Mark! That was the most transparent and in-depth (yet concise) video I've ever seen about the RUclips revenue system. Gained loads of knowledge. And I'd like to appreciate you for efficiently planning out your life because you don't really have to rely on RUclips or any single source of income and yet guarantee a positive flow of money ALL while doing what you love, which is travel and explore! I know you have struggled to get here and I get that even though your life seems effortless and fun. Cheers mate! 🤙🏻 ps: I was the one who DM'ed you on Instagram asking about your source of income. Thanks a ton for answering my question whilst featuring me on your story! 😉
Hello Mark . Thank you for the information we hope to get to that 200K subs but we are still focusing on 3 k lol Great to see you are having a lot of Success Stay safe Love and Light Sarah and Glenn
wow! crazy how much money varies on here! with 200k subs I would think that you would make more! I make about $50-$75/ month with my channel so I have a loooong way to go before I make what I want 😂😂
LOL...I'm a teacher RIGHT NOW...watching this because I desperately need to get out from under the stresses of my profession. So funny to hear that you were a teacher too. How long did you last at that? And, I'm assuming you would say you made the right choice? I can't imagine sitting in a classroom surrounded by people who don't want to learn (not many anyway) beats creative work that you're doing now?
Thanks for this Mark, very helpful! We started our YT channel just under a year ago and we're already making on average US$100 per month - which is peanuts for some, but we're so so excited to be earning an income doing something that we truly love to do :) Saludos desde PDC :)
Thank you for your video, I would like to ask a question, my English is not very good, if subtitles are used to replace the advertisement, will you find me, thank you
Thanks for all the tips and for sharing your distinct sources of income. Really appreciated. I'll be patient and I'll try to get further step by step... 😜
Helped alot. Thank you. My question. Does RUclips make preferences In what they promote when it comes to visual quality? Should someone starting now go straight to filming in 4k?
New subscriber here. Hey, I just wanted to mention you look like a young Cliff Simon. Cliff Simon played Baal on Stargate SG1, sadly Cliff died Kite surfing in California, he was only 58 but in great shape. Anyway, great video, looking like Cliff Simon is quite a compliment. 👍My girlfriend was in love with him...not sure I liked that. P.S. You should look into acting.
Does the viewers ad watch length, determine your ad revenue? Like, if I watch a 10 second ad versus a 2min ad, do you make more money if I view the entire 2min ad? I work in marketing and have always been curious as to how this all works.
Hope this video provided some useful insight into this field.
Let me know if you have any further questions :)
Thanks for sharing Mark! It's always interesting to see how someone makes a living on RUclips.

You got it absolutely right! I did enjoy teaching, however, creative work and self employment is just so much more satisfying on every level.

Do You Have To Pay Taxes Off What You Make Off RUclips?
Of course... No exemptions there
What type of technology do I need? To start copy paste and editing videos to make content?
Helped alot. Thank you.

I've thought about doing RUclips but coming up with daily content is why I haven't. Being consistent would be my challenge.
What font do you use for your thumbnails?
Thanks Mark

Do you use a teleprompter? Aka how do you plan what you're going to say? I notice you hardly ever stutter or have to think about what you're saying.

Hello
👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
hey
how much you earn?
so these people claiming they make $30-50 grand a month with 200,000 subs are full of shit?
Depends, if they have amazing views on every video and sell a bunch of stuff then maybe. But yeah, very unlikely haha
i am so proud to have 97 subs 😂😂😂
Agrégale subtitulos en español por fis!!!! Entiendo el 50%
😍
I like you and TikTok need to pay you 😡 🙄🤭
