Hello! I'm Jacky a 3rd year student at Monash University majoring in Software Development. I enjoy making videos about entrepreneurship, tech, and random videos that I like sharing! Subscribe if you want to see more of my content :)
In this video I talk about how much youtube pays me via Adsense with around 1000 subscribers. My channel has been monetised for around 1 month and I go through my youtube analytics to show you how much exactly youtube is paying me. I talk about my CPM, RPM as well as how much I'm earning through my channel for the month of January.

What's sad is youtube will still play ads on your videos even if you don't meet the subscriber or watch hours requirements. So youtube keeps 100% of that ad revenue until you meet their requirements, if you ever do meet the requirements.
Yeah unfortunately that’s the case! Getting monetised is challenging with so much more competition these days as well. But keep at it! I really hope you make it!
Take it on a good note because Yt thinks your content is worth monetizing. So keep the grid going

RUclips is the greatest search engine, tv channel, and school in the world. And it’s free for you. Of course it’s fair since they pay people to regulate it for you to enjoy for free

RUclips just monetized me (I have almost 2k subscribers) they originally monetized me once I hit 1k, but I'm just now actually getting the money. Like, signed up for it so I'm really excited for this ngl. Makes me feel special in a way

Thanks for the info brother, comin up close on 1k and was just curious. We purely made our channel for our own entertainment, and to provide entertainment for others, never set out to earn money, but hey, anything is better than nothing! I just reached my first 1,000 subscribers. If I could go back in time and do it all over again, I would of gotten a job at Taco Bell instead building tacos. By now I would of had $150,000 saved in the bank and could retire... whereas with RUclips, I have nothing. Nothing. Couldn't monetize a single thing for all those 15 years. So my advice to you, is to forget YT, it's a crackhead pipe dream, and get a job, any job, anywhere.
It only took me 15 bloody years, $50,000+ (5,000+) worth of computer labor, 250 videos and one video that RUclips promoted (i.e. made one of his 3 main buckets) and didn't take a frosty dump on. This platform is the worst. I don't want to develop for it... any more.

@@metaversoflow Ain't nobody else making money here; there is no money here. How many times have you spent money where it went directly to RUclips? Never. In 15 years, I have never given RUclips any money, nor receieved a penny from them. So exactly what money are they suppose to pay others?
It's a fraud and an illusion. There is no monetization. It's a con to get peopel to create content for RUclips for free, that RUclips does not have to pay for it's content creation unlike say... Netflix or HBO.
A lot of con artists realize it, and captialize on it for views and make videos saying it's all you, you need to do this and that and so on, thumbnails, CTR, watch time, build audience, watch your analytics like a hawk, connect with your audience, cut scenes often to Broll, etc. No. It's not you. THis platform just flat out... swwwx.

Unfortunately you won’t get paid for anything before monetisation :(

How long did it take to get 4000 watch hours
It took me around 1.5 years from memory, however I wasn’t consistent with my uploads

9948 views for the month of January with a ton of 2.85? That doesn't make any sense bro
2.85 per 1000.
So 2.85 times 9.948 is like 28 dollars.
Then, it may probably be some delays between updating views and total money earned etc. So it seems to make sense.
