At last some one has reacted to their better years ignore all people that recommend their average boring songs like shine. a 80’s boring song that only got air play due to it being kinda grunge which was popular at the time this is indeed part of their better work an yes I luv them cos he has that kinda micheal hutchence sound
A great band from Atlanta. Had a lot of great songs in the 90's and 00's, loaded with energy. Also some great ballads. My Collective Soul favourites include: Precious Declaration Blame The World I Know Run Full Circle Gel Shine All would be great for reactions. Thanks Harri.
Great tune, released in 2005. Almost set to a Car's robotic like rhythm with amazing drums and guitars. This song has been in commercials like Kelloggs Special K, films, TV shows and even election promotions. Just an addictive tune with a great sax solo which is replaced by a guitar solo in concert. Great tune. Great reaction Harri. Thanks Harri and Robert. Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦
U keep poppin up on my suggestions list and you always appear as such an engaging and lively person so it’s with a heavy heart full of joy that this is the video that made me subscribe
What a song to pull you out of the doldrums! I much prefer this studio version of "Better Now" because it has the saxophone solo at the end. The video version replaces it with a similar guitar riff.
If you think you hear INXS and/or The Cars in Collective Soul, you are not imagining things. The Cars are one of Ed Roland's favorite bands and greatest influences. He's also extremely fond of INXS. You can hear it on his 1991 solo album Ed-E Roland in the track "Don't Dull Pain:" ruclips.net/video/_RZ1aN4iKlA/видео.html (Some listeners hear The Cars in this track; I've always heard INXS.)
Not what I'm used to from these guys when it got to the sax I thought you need to check out a band called parachute the song is something to Believe in
Not this bands greatest song... A shame. They were really good. They had a unique sound, which is not this lol. Check out shine, which, by the way, Dolly Parton does a killer cover to. Great reaction. Thank you.
I agree Dolly’s version of Shine was good. I disagree about this not being one of their better songs. Not sounding like grunge all the time is a sign of musical maturity and creativity and having the balls to go outside the boundaries once in a while.
I hung out backstage with C Soul and they are a great bunch of guys...then they went out on the stage and blew the lid off the dump. Let's Rawk!!!!

One of my faves by them. Love the horns. Now that you say it I can hear the INXS similarity.

I would love someone to react to Blame
Also "Listen". That's one of my top tracks ever from them.
Amazing song! More Collective Soul!
Truly an under appreciated band
Check them out with the Atlantic Youth Orchestra, magical
That's a great one!!!

Without seeing you're comment, I thought the same, The Cars came to mind right away.

Try "Shine"
I love a lot of their songs but the first 2 albums, “Hints, Allegations, & Things Left Unsaid”, & “Collective Soul” contain the most tracks I like.
