This video popped up in my feed. Love Shack is one of my favorite songs. It's a party song, and the video is lively. The B-52s are legendary! They're currently on their farewell tour. The drummer is Zachary Alford.
The B-52s are known as one of the greatest party bands ever. I saw them live too many times to count and going to a Bs concert was like having thousands of people come together in a giant love shack. You danced your azz off for a couple of hours and left sweaty and beat. 🤣 Word of warning as you check out more from this band. Their earlier days were a very quirky mix of punk and new wave that really can't be described as anything other than pure B-52s. Some people get it, some just don't. Love shack came off of their most mainstream album which produced many other hits. Another great song and video to check out from that album is Roam. If you're feeling adventurous and brave and want to check out early, quirky Bs, you HAVE to react to the official video for Rock Lobster. The ultimate beach/pool party song in the 80s and iconic enough to still be today. if you know, you know.
cool little song. i was in my 20's when this was released. loved it then. still love it today. but, hey, if you guys like this one try another by The B-52's entitled: "Roam" and it has their sound much in the same vein as this 1980's chart topper.
