  • Steps I use for deciduous trees:
    1. Remove all leaves in later fall or early winter to make sure the tree goes dormant.
    2. Make sure to remove any leaves or rotting fruit from the ground around the tree.
    3. Treat with Copper Spray and Horticultural Oil three times. Ideally in late November, December, and mid to late January. This should be done while the tree is dormant and temps are above 40 degrees.
    4. Make sure to spray on a calm day when there is no chance of rain for a least 1 to 3 days.
    5. Drench the tree from the top to the base of the tree
The Copper Fungicide treats for diseases like peach leaf curl and I use Horticultural Oil to treat for insects.
