Sorry that you missed the ‘Mortiferum’ gig… but glad that you’re on the mend mate & good to see you had a good day with Geoff! Nice fella! I really must pick up that ‘Degraved’ release myself!🤘🏻
Ruido De Rabia was basque country hardcore punk / thrashcore / grindcore, 1985-1994 (though their sound changed for the Revolucion Cosmica LP in 1994, transferring into some kind of Sepultura / slow Napalm Death hybrid).
Another great shopping trip video! Subbed to your friend Geoff's channel and I'm excited to go through his backlog of vids! P.S. I see that Valdrin album in the background--great black metal record!
Hi Simon!!! always cool to go record shopping with a fun mate.... So sorry to hear you missed that Mortiferum show you wanted to go, cool t-shirt Geoff got you. cheers and be well
I caught one of Mendicant Media's videos in my youtube feed and watched a bit of a it a few days ago and than he pops up in your video. Which answered my question where he was from, my initial thought was Australia but I became a little unsure the more I listened to him talk. As for that I, Voidhanger record, that label is 70/30 for me. Around 70% of their releases I end up being interested in, than there are the other releases that are just too out there or not metal. The band in question, I believe you showed Neptunian Maximalism, is strongly in the 30%.
Cheers mate. Geoff is a good bloke, I am in Sydney and he is Canberra about 3-4 hours drive from me but he came up for the Mortiferum gig. Yeah I Voidhanger is either eclectic black metal or way-out-there weirdness. Mare Cognitum is probably my favourite band on their roster.
Small correction: Contaminated are of course from Melbourne, not Sydney - but they played the Sydney leg of the Mortiferum tour!
Why you don't like AC/DC? Just curious
That bluesy hard rock sound does nothing for me. Sometimes I feel like a fake Aussie as I don't like any of the pub rock bands from the 70s-80s haha.
Geoff is the best. Great to see you both collaborating.
Cheers Ben! Was a fun trip and the video edited together well.
Good call on ac/dc. All downhill since Bon Scott. That’s a long downhill. Great trip!
I'm a pretend Aussie I think, the pub rock bands AC/DC, The Angels, Chisel etc. never did anything for me.

It's a ripper! Cheers Marc!

Happy you got that Degraved! I got the tape from Gurgling Gore so I passed on the vinyl but now I want it haha.
Hahaha of course you do! Apparently the cd edition has the first demo on it too, so if you haven't got that maybe that's the way
The ultimate crossover event of 2024.
Haha cheers!
My two fav Aussies in one video - sweet.
Appreciate that!
Glad you are well! Good to see you and Jeff together…. LEGENDS
Cheers!
Those look like cool Metal albums Simon I think I should go to Australia sometime and check out what they have there 🤘🤘
Do it!

You have a good eye! Valdrin will appear in the black metal update when I get to it, probably early February.

Cheers, yeah it was a bummer but there will be other shows!
Two top lads going about their business. Some stellar pick-ups. Malignant Altar are great. Feel the same about Raspberry Bulbs as you Simon.
Yeah Geoff needed that Malignant Altar in his life. I tried to get him to pick up the split with Gosudar as well but he gave me stinkeye.

Beer followed by ice cream? Outrageous!
A time honoured tradition!
Angel White is asking to go on the next shopping trip 😮
🤘🤘🤘
That Neptunian Maximalism album sucked. The Triple album from 2020 had amazing artwork and was incredible.
Oh that's good to know. I read up about it and it sounds like the members are different on every album.
You domt AC/DC? Sounds Ironic.
Nope! Cannot stand them. Boogie rock.
nice ones
