Dr Jyoti Singh, the granddaughter of the last Maharaja of Kashmir, Hari Singh, evokes with Media India Group the time of the partition and the role of her late grandfather in a tumultuous history. She also talks about the Dara Shikoh Festival, a dialogue platform for local artists she organises once a year, in May, in her Almond Villa, a cottage home in Srinagar and a family property. And about the recent evolution in Jammu and Kashmir, a state that opens up to tourism after decades of unrest.
