I watched all of Agent Aika from a Latam animation channel called Locomotion, its crazy to think how much adult material they used to play there that i watched as a kid every day. Aika was always on reruns on that channel. Still remember watching Gits and Akira there when i was like 12 and it blew my mind.
This was certainly a weird find on Tubi.
How could you not just luv Nishijima and his awesome wackiness. What a legend.
8:30 - there's an anime about the post-WWII Northern Territories/Southern Kuril handover. It's called Giovanni's Island, and is well worth a watch if you can find it.
Also, MiG is pronounced as a word, not an acronym. Twig, pig, The Stig, etc.

Lol I happened to come across this on DVD at a Goodwill earlier this year and had to check it out. I thought it was awful but I love seeing even stuff like this get coverage, you always do justice to even the most low brow and obscure anime out there and that's why I appreciate your work. Keep it up!

I found this OVA treasure when I was watching one of Orbital Bacon's Saturday Night Anime recordings from the old Toonami Sci Fi channel.
17:30 When watching this OVA for the first time on Orbital Bacon's Saturday Night Anime recently, the moment when Kasumi throws herself onto a puddle just so her friend Natsu can step on her made me believe this was one Golden OVA treasure.
And the rest of the OVA just lived up to that in spades as the episodes went on for the next 40 minutes.
It really surprised me to hear Eric Stuart, Pokemon's Brock and Yu-Gi-Oh's Kaiba, voice come from a Ecchi OVA (from the creator of Project A-KO and Agent Aika) such as this.
less surprised a t brrok, but still XD ok he isa really funny wih his running gag sespte irt not being a good one.
Eric Stuart voicing idiots that is normal. He also voiced Gourry from the Slayers.
It’s even more surprising when you hear Dan Green’s voice in a Hentai movie.
I find it funny cause I've heard Eric say in an interview that he's doesn't like to do projects like this.

I remember seeing this at the video rental store as among the first anime DVDs that they carried....While unaware of the production's history this was something of a first for me...that not all anime was created equal.

I first saw this OVA after renting it from Movie Gallery and it was my introduction to the ecchi comedy genre of anime

NGL I love the character designs! They are really cute and each character looks distinctive. I wonder how this traditional Japanese family ended up in Russia though?
I definitely have watched this. Not back in the day, but rather not too long ago when I was looking for other old animes I haven't seen, and with fanservice. I know this is a release in 2000, but this still had a 90s design of it. This OVA series is rather interesting, known mainly by the late 90s-style fanservice.
Did i mention that Mosfilm collaborated with Toei on The Resurrected Witch?

Saw this one when I was young and I remembered that the main character was voiced by Brock’s voice actor from pokemon and that there was a scene where he stands up and has a huge boner 🤣. I looked till I found the the name of it and found it on eBay for $10. I was so ecstatic to relive one of my childhood memories . Thank you for all your awesome work! I look forward to every video and I tend to rewatch my favorites all the time .
I think this would be the second time I see a Russian protagonist in anime, other being Alexander Hell from Seikon on Quaser.
Origa has to be my favourite Russian in anime, she might be best known for the Stand Alone Complex OP. Also the GitS manga had the Soviet Union as it was published in 1989. So if there's this many iterations to the "Pantyshot the Animation" thing, where is the current one, or when did it die?

Where did you find the interview? I tried to find an interview about why he didn't do a lot of dubs outside of 4kids. I wish he did more of that because it would've given him the opportunity to grow as a va.

This looks painful to watch. Anime comedy at its normal.
God, you have a very limited and tightly restrictive view of humor.
You know, at least other reviewers TRY to explain that humor is actually subjective and that what's funny to other people might not be funny to you, or that what's funny to you might not be to other people.... but sitting here and actually watching you state that jokes that actually make me laugh are "absolutely not funny" as if your opinion is a fact, is extremely aggravating.
damn it's almost like people have different senses of humor or something
