*Thankfully* no injury to report, he was moving the sleeve and the opposite side snapped. The message is the same, be nowhere near a winch cable under load.
Not a fan of soft shackles except for joining straps or maybe change of direction. Prefer to use quality hard shackles when attaching to bumpers or tree straps. The winch cable will break first.
Looks like the soft shackle failed. I'm gonna say the spot on the bumper had a sharp edge because it was designed for a d ring. Turned that big piece of aluminum into death 😳
i wish they made that tire in a 40 in a 18 inch rim diameter i have 35s and love them but not a lot of manufacturers make a 40 in a 18 actually none do only a 38 or a 41 and the only 41 is a iroc i had a set of 39 inch irocs before no thank you on the 41s im basically stuck with a 38
I’d be careful holding the roll cage like that. In a rollover the windshield frame can crush your hand between the windshield frame and cage. Weld a handle there if you like your hand there
Johnson Valley definitely challenging thank God for wenches
Nice to see the old CJs out there!
We are heading back out next week for King of the Hammers, cant wait to
Get back out!
We just going to ignore him grabbing the winch cable under load? 🤣 I'm glad it was a reminder with no injuries.

@RockstarGarage sht happens, we all do stupid things now and then.
It wasa synthetic line.
@@jamesq5383obviously. Just
habit calling it a cable.
There was a rock there with a huge pile of old broke parts.
Like a carnage museum. 🤣😂
Grub it out! Grub it out!
The reaper jeep is one of the sickest jeeps ever built. Just needs lsx power. I love that rig.
Spent so much time getting his red green costume just right .... now wonder
Awesome trail good rigs thanks for sharing, all the best to yous and your loved ones
Its crazy to think that Sledge Hammer was originally built with Jeeps on 35s by Victor Valley 4 Wheelers
In the shop pulling my jeep tub off as I listen.
That is so cool to watch 👍☺️🙃
Thanks for sharing 👍
Have amazing weekend ☺️
Awesome driving guys.
Good times 🙂
Sweet rigs! Awesome scenery
Definitely a scary moment there in that video
24:02 Man that was a scary moment. One reason I’m wanting to get rid of all metal in my winch line.
Ya me too 1/2 rope with a soft shackle no hook.
It was a synthetic rope line.
@James Q y
YA just goes to show those rope snap back too. That would rock you too. Cable rips you on half.
@@jamesq5383 with a 10lbs missile attached.

why didn't gridlock with his sick 44" tires hit backdoor
Trail Reaper, what radiator are you using and have you had any problems? If so what do you recommend? Thanks
Moment 24:13 wow guys be careful ,,, you were in the danger zone while pulling and that is DANGEROUS

Where can I get more info on the CJs?
