  • We finished our EJS trip this year with a special run on Coyote Canyon. This trail is short and gets right to the point with excellent challenging obstacles. Everyone started the day excited but nervous knowing they were all likely to take damage on their vehicle. See who got the worst of it and who made it through clean on this awesome trip through Coyote Canyon! Big thanks to Robert and Jennifer Beck for inviting us along for their exclusive run.
    Thanks for watching, check out our awesome partners:

    This is a trail where the big boys that think more wheel base is better learn some humility. I just ran this with my pals, 3 of us were on 31" (7.50x16") pizza cutters. 1 1943 Willys MB 80" wheel base, I 1953 Land Rover 80" wheel base, and my 1958 Land Rover 88" wheel base. We had two bigger rigs with us (37" tires, approx 100" wheel base). All of us older guys with decades of experience. We had a BLAST !! No breakage, I popped right up the gate keeper and kept on truckin'. I was the only one who had to pull cable, as I got wedged at the outlet of the squeeze. just 2 inches to pop me loose and drive out. This is an awesome trail, that I think is best enjoyed in a small to medium size rig. People are just getting out of hand these days building huge rigs.

    I don't want to do No' rock.
    Just dirt, sand, water hills.
    Thanks for sharing this 👍

    I turned around in the V notch and went back down in my 4 door JKU. I had the hardtop and full doors on my Jeep. I am glad I turned around after watching this. My top and doors would have been gone....🤣

      The rock that deals the most damage is so deceptive, coming through everything before it made us feel like the worst was behind us but we were so wrong 😂 smart move you made.

      @@RockstarGarage I would have can opened the full doors and top for sure. This trail was not made for 4 door's LOL

    Very nice group. Video & editing are great. One of the few trails where having a smaller rig is better. My tiny CJ5 would be fun in there. Admittedly, there are some big rocks to navigate. Thanks again for taking us along

    For the stuff I’ve seen Trey drive through I’m surprised this was the first break. He can drive and that rig is a monster

    When I 1st seen nick new buggy , I figured it b rear steer , his jeep got denied on quite few obstacles that other jeeps made it , especially the jeep that has great American crawl I believe down the sides, so now he has a advantage over everyone, I guess u can say , he wheels with a handicap lol

    • @RockstarGarage
      @RockstarGarage  Год назад +1

      I don’t think any rig can make it up every obstacle. You’re always bound to find a few that you can’t when you hit an many places a year as we do. I don’t think Anything about ROKBUGY would be looked at as a handicap. I guess what your saying is because the extra work was done and figured out to have rear steer with the time and money spent. You’re calling hard work a handicap? I call it evolving and growing and trying new things and building a rig that has more possibilities and less limitations.

    Wish i could go wheeling. But looking for better axle shafts. My front Currie F9 keeps shearing with my Mickey Baja tires too much grip.

    Nic, how are you liking the rear steer on RokBuggy? Going to add it to GRDLOC or keep them different in that way? Great wheeling!

    Is there a build thread for the orange tj that has a mild stretch but no comp cut? That exactly what I want to do to my tj (might be an lj?) and would love more details.

    Yeah those 1350 CV still only have a 1/2” center pin. Big weak point unfortunately. I would upgrade to at least a single 1410 on both ends.

    How does it compare do the BFE trails?

    • @RockstarGarage
      @RockstarGarage  Год назад +2

      It's more comparable to those trails than Pritchett. It's right near by BFE so the terrain is probably similar. BFE has some really crazy stuff in it so this is probably on the milder side of what you'll find in there.
