Massive props to you for being so transparent on your need to improve your mental game. An obvious area to focus on for every golfer but not the easiest to look critically inward and share it for thousands of people.
This is by far and away my favourite vid on this channel. I never leave comments but this was so interesting and varied I had to. I could watch a whole series on sports psych stuff alone. Thanks for making it!
My favourite golf channel on RUclips. Love how you’re driven to improve your golf. Best swing on RUclips also!! I use a 19degree hybrid for the exact same reason fits between my 3 wood and 4 iron. 9HCP and going down. Happy times
So excited to see this series back. I'm just now getting back into golf after a 12ish year break and your golf content is some of my favorite and makes me want to get out there even more!
Yes I have a hybrid and love it. Taylormade M2 3 hybrid 19 degree. Replaced my 5 wood and works as my 3 iron as well. Also gave me another slot in the bag for a 60 degree lob wedge. Tossed the 5 wood I didn't use much anyway and gave me 2 clubs I love to hit. Keep the videos coming Pete! Love them all!
I don't use a hybrid because I can never strike the face correctly. Recently I've gotten better, but I always will take a long iron over a hybrid. I'm just more comfortable with the swing path of my irons.
Putter noise: Rayyyyy! Also, put a hybrid in the bag late last year. Absolutely loving it this season. Just as long as my 3 iron, and so much more confidence inspiring
Great behind the scenes look at what you put yourself through preparation wise... super interesting. Would love to see more combo videos like this... oh and some new battle golf videos!!
I currently use a Wilson 3 hybrid, unsure exact name it’s fairly new though, I just found it easier to hit off the tee compared to 5 wood, distance was a little down but never seemed to miss the fairway,
your videos are changing for the better, yes your filming alot at home with the Mrs helping and then the dog bit. very personable. loved it. i Bought a GAPR Hi 21 Degree last month and its incredible. has replaced the 4 iron i didnt think i needed.
Been absolutely loving the whole channel the whole channel which has been well over a year now! You make golf a lot more approachable and so much more interesting than it already was! Ive only used 2 hybrids in my short golf LIFE and will always be in my bag because they are so easy and enticing to use for me! Keep it up mate! ❤️
I just added the exact same hybrid to my bag 2 weeks ago. I absolutely love this thing! It just finds fairways about 250-265 down the way. I kept my Titleist 2 iron primarily for really windy days but that’s it my 5 wood has been retired.
I use a Callaway heavenwood 5 hybrid and love it. I get much more confidence and consistency that i did with a 3 or 4 iron in the past. Picked it up from a charity shop and it was love at first sight!
I have the same hybrid, I’m not what you would call a good golfer but can do a fair bit with it. It makes me feel super confident, can only imagine what a player of your standard could do with it.
I use a 3 and 4 hybrids. One is a 913 and the 4 is. 23 degrees baffler. Not very forgiving but very controllable. I hit them so well. My 3 wood it set strong for proper gapping.
I have my League playoff in two weeks. It is a head to head match. The mental aspect of the game becomes magnified for me. Seeing this video and the statement "don't chase a score, succeed in following a process/routine" really resonated with me. Thanks for the positive imagery!
Fantastic video Pete. I’ve never commented before, but this was brilliant. Great to learn about the psychological approach alongside your coaching. Thanks so much.
Hybrids are great. We have club championship comp now fri-sun. I've hit my 3 and 4 iron terribly recently. I put a old Cobra F6 hybrid in bag and had great success off the tee today. Short but tight course.
Oldest club in my bag is an ancient Cleveland Halo in 16degrees. I can hit that thing high, low, from the left and from the right. I never use it on a peg, just chuck it on the ground and belt it. I play on a really windy, elevated course and it is so versatile. Never really hit any other hybrids I like. Every so often I consider putting a modern chunky 2 iron in instead but the Halo remains.
Its funny I just got rid of the Sim hybrid from my bag in place of the 2 iron UDI. It was my first time trying a hybrid this year but it was left left and more left for me with it
@PeterFinch nice Hybrid! Hybrid always works and gives safety off the tee. I'm using a 818 H1 19° with Tensei White 90g. Super stable and always a fairwayfinder.
I use the covra f8 4 hybrid. Its my 200-210 club and workable both ways. But I also have a mizuno mic fli hi 3 iron for off the tee. I like the trajectory control so much more than hybrid. Its about a 225-235 off the tee.
Love these videos because it shows some of the process you use to improve your game in tournament play which is something you can't go out and practice every day.
I'm always so thankful for your advise on Diffrent aspects of the game we Love so much. Love your Determination, makes me wanna work harder then I already do. Your videos have helped take 10 Strokes of my game! Best of Luck Mate, from N.Y
Great vlog - it had every thing really. Comps, new clubs, lessons and to cap it all, Murph! I do like a hybrid to be honest; I've got an old MD Golf #5 hybrid. A bit worn around the edges but it does what it says on the tin. Cheers
3 Sim hybrid is the club I use, when I was playing awful it was my go to club that kept my love for golf in those troubling times. When you almost reach your mates drive with that club it's the only club you wanna use.
I’ve never been able to hit a 4-iron consistent, something about them gets in my head, so I use a 4H and hit it great. I want to add in one of those new sim udi 2-irons since they’re finally available in lefty
Amazing videos and the hybrids I’ve tried I don’t like I’m not great at hitting them or long irons do I use high lofted woods. I got a 5,7,9, and 11 wood and I feel confident when I hit them it just makes me play better. Then I transition to my 6 iron which is my first iron in my bag.
Couldn’t afford a new hybrid a few years back and picked up a Callaway Big Bertha heavenwood 2 hybrid as a cheap alternative. It is epic. Off the tee, off the deck, out the rough. It’s my fairway finder when the driver goes off.
In the same predicament : mizuno mP H5 3 iron vs titleist T3 hybrid (18deg) , love that I can change the hossle loft of the hybrid , but miss the ability to hit a super low punch into wind or blow tree branches circa 180-200 out
I don't use a hybrid, I also often don't use a fairway wood either. My bag right now is Driver, 18 degree driving iron then 3 iron down. I'm probably missing a trick by not having any metals, but for the course I play I find it's just wasted space in the bag as they never come out. That, and I just find the long irons more fun to hit, and fun is the most important part for me!
I recently just went to a driving iron for the first time and love it. I struggle with hybrids and consistent strike particularly off the deck but I also see them going left a lot (same as my fairway) I just know I hit the driving iron really well
For the putter it's got to be ooooh mother and I hit Callaway X Hot 5 hybrid and Founders 3 hybrid. I love the 5 hybrid as I have problems with long irons, amongst other things
Great choice on the hybrid. I have a gapr hi 3 which is a beast off the tee and a tour edge exs 4hybrid which is the easiest club to hit I've ever had. I always thought hybrids where hook machines before these two
Just recently got fitted for a Titleist TS2 21 degree hybrid. I hit it longer and more consistently than my previous hybrid. It’s good out of the rough and the fairway brilliant club. Might look at something with more loft to be a bridge between a 5 iron and this hybrid as I am inconsistent with the current 4 iron.
Great video, as usual, Pete. I really like your style of presenting things. My current hybrids are TM M3’s. 19 & 17. The 17 takes the place of my 3HL wood. I have a lot of issues with fairway woods and hitting behind them. The M3’s have eliminated that.
You’re the best ❤️
Peter Finch Golf - No, you’re the best! ❤️
Appropriate noise = Ooof!
what a bromance
Shoulders, arms and back looking ripped Pete... and that swing is looking more aggressive
The proper noise to make when unwrapping a brand new Scotty is: WOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOO!
I believe the appropriate noise would be, (in your best Rick Shiels impression) 'Ohh that's niiiice'
I believe it’s pronounced “niaaaace”
I always get hung up on how he pronounces "putter". I can't think of a way to type it phonetically, but I'm sure you can hear it in your head. LOL
@@angryginger791 Puttuh?
@@angryginger791 he also pronounces par as paaah
@@hurfdurfy8167 That's it, but there is special emphasis on the first "u". LOL

My favourite golf channel on RUclips. Love how you’re driven to improve your golf. Best swing on RUclips also!!
I use a 19degree hybrid for the exact same reason fits between my 3 wood and 4 iron.
9HCP and going down. Happy times
I absolutely love your channel because of your clear love of the game and desire for others to love and improve their game.
So excited to see this series back. I'm just now getting back into golf after a 12ish year break and your golf content is some of my favorite and makes me want to get out there even more!
This channel gets better and better ! Hats off !
Excited to see where you go Peter! Been watching you for about 3 years now and I have to say I hope you make it and Win!
Yes I have a hybrid and love it. Taylormade M2 3 hybrid 19 degree. Replaced my 5 wood and works as my 3 iron as well. Also gave me another slot in the bag for a 60 degree lob wedge. I shot my first ever 74 today in a high school golf tournament! Love these vids about tournament golf!
The only appropriate sound is “Oh billy billy billy” in your best Caddy Shack impression
The appropriate sound is an angelic harmony. Scotties are amazing!
Love the QFTO series. Really enjoy seeing what you focus on to improve your performance.
Definitely going to try the focusing on a dimple on the golf ball!! Thanks for the tip!!
Awesome video Pete. I love seeing the mental side of your game and what you are thinking before addressing the ball.
the appropriate reaction is absolutely playing Only Time by Enya while holding your new club over your head and twirling around
I don't use a hybrid because I can never strike the face correctly. Recently I've gotten better, but I always will take a long iron over a hybrid. I'm just more comfortable with the swing path of my irons.

I use Taylor made rbz hybrid, love it, it's my safe club
your videos are changing for the better, yes your filming alot at home with the Mrs helping and then the dog bit. very personable. loved it. i Bought a GAPR Hi 21 Degree last month and its incredible. has replaced the 4 iron i didnt think i needed.
Noise... yes!!!!
I hit the M6 hybrids just upgraded them. Sims were a bit pricey.
Love the hybrid addition Pete. Seems like a perfect fit.
Thanks for the Murphy clip. Great video.
I used visualization a lot when I was a competitive archer. it works!
I just added the exact same hybrid to my bag 2 weeks ago. I absolutely love this thing! It just finds fairways about 250-265 down the way. I kept my Titleist 2 iron primarily for really windy days but that’s it my 5 wood has been retired.

love those wedges! Good luck in the comps
Thanks for the video! Love that you're giving the hybrid a go. Seems like a great option for security and versatility.
I love these videos Pete. Really rooting for you!
I use a hybrid and I absolutely love it!! It is very versatile!!
Thanks for the update Pete. Goodluck in your comps
This guy deserves more subscribers. Love the content
Love following your QUEST! Keep up the great work Pete!!

I love watching Peter cause he talks like a normal bloke, not a robot. Can always have a laugh watching his content as-well as learning a ton
I use the old titleist 910 but I’m looking to replace it it goes just too far left
Those clubs suprised me! But defo one to test. Pete, what is your ball speed with a seven iron?
the appropriate noise is Macho Man OOOO YEAH!
I’ve got a Ping G400 Hybrid in the bag great off the tee and around the course
I use a 23° hybrid but my favourite club is my 7 wood of the deck.Love it
I have F8 3 and 5 hybrid and an old taylormade 4 hybrid, love them helped me drop my handicap 15 this year!! Great to see a pro use hybrids too!
I still play a Titleist 909h 19* hybrid with an Aldila Voodoo stiff shaft. Second oldest club in the bag next to my Vokey 252 gap wedge.
Another great video Pete enjoyed the quest for the open videos different way of looking at golf
Fantastic video Pete. I’ve never commented before, but this was brilliant. Great to learn about the psychological approach alongside your coaching. Thanks so much.
I Bought the 19 sim hybrid at the start of the season to replace my p790 udi it’ is so easy to hit and I use it off of a lot of tees.
Love the quest for the open videos :)
I have a Titleist 818H1 21° hybrid and depending on the course/conditions, it rotates in or out with another top end club
Great video Pete. Great to see Murphy in the video too and to have Carly on camera. Keep up the hard work and things will happen for you
Love the quest for the open!! Keep it up Pete!!!!!!
7:00 ... the sound of that driver strike 😛😱😊✌
Hybrids are great. We have club championship comp now fri-sun. I've hit my 3 and 4 iron terribly recently. I put a old Cobra F6 hybrid in bag and had great success off the tee today. Short but tight course.

Love all your videos, especially the QFTO, down to earth, easy to understand and with good humour!! Would love to play some golf with you 👍🏻👍🏻
Love the content Pete the stuff about mindset and focusing on a specific point on the ball seems interesting and will definitely be trying that out.👍
I've started to use the think the shot shape routine, it works for me. over the last 2 weeks i've dropped 2 off my index!
@PeterFinch nice Hybrid! Hybrid always works and gives safety off the tee. I'm using a 818 H1 19° with Tensei White 90g. Super stable and always a fairwayfinder.

I use 2 hybrids. A 17 degree Ping G20 and a 20 degree Ping G15.
TaylorMade Mcgb 4 hybrid for me. Absolutely love it!
I'm always so thankful for your advise on Diffrent aspects of the game we Love so much. Love your Determination, makes me wanna work harder then I already do. Your videos have helped take 10 Strokes of my game! Best of Luck Mate, from N.Y
Keep up the good work. I always learn something from watching. I sure need to get a hybrid as well.
I love hybrids. In fact, I replaced my 3-7 irons with hybrids. Love the confidence they inspire.
Great vlog - it had every thing really. Comps, new clubs, lessons and to cap it all, Murph!
I do like a hybrid to be honest; I've got an old MD Golf #5 hybrid. A bit worn around the edges but it does what it says on the tin.

Cobra F9 Speedback 3 hybrid first hybrid I used and I love it
3 Sim hybrid is the club I use, when I was playing awful it was my go to club that kept my love for golf in those troubling times. When you almost reach your mates drive with that club it's the only club you wanna use.
Just gone to 2 hybrids. Got fitted for 2 titleist ts2. 4 hybrid and 6 hybrid. Hit them well and have help my confidence
I’ve never been able to hit a 4-iron consistent, something about them gets in my head, so I use a 4H and hit it great. I want to add in one of those new sim udi 2-irons since they’re finally available in lefty

Never tried the sim hybrids currently using cobra f9 2 and 3 hybrid (17, 19). Absolutely love them for long par 3s.
I use the g400 hybrid with a mitsubishi kuro cage x stiff 80 g shaft
I use the M6 with 3 hybrid. I love it. congrats on your final grouping. You seem to be getting back in your groove again.
Love hybrids. So much control. I use the M6 4 & 6.
Peter - thanks for all the great content! I'm emulating your swing and having great success so far. Love the playing lessons!
Couldn’t afford a new hybrid a few years back and picked up a Callaway Big Bertha heavenwood 2 hybrid as a cheap alternative. It is epic. Off the tee, off the deck, out the rough. It’s my fairway finder when the driver goes off.

... I see that San Francisco Callaway staff bag in the background. I like that!
love this video and i just put a hybrid in my bag finally as weel picked up a cobra f9 hybrid to go along with my driver and i love it
Just bought a sim 5 wood and sim 6 hybrid bloody awesome clubs
I recently just went to a driving iron for the first time and love it. I struggle with hybrids and consistent strike particularly off the deck but I also see them going left a lot (same as my fairway) I just know I hit the driving iron really well
Love it Pete! Always insightful and something to take away into my own game from each video 👍⛳
Most appropriate noise would the haunting sound of a giraffe! I love my SIM max hybrid. Absolutely clutch!
I use an old ping G25 hybrid and I can’t let go of it. It’s my go to when my swing is in tatters (regularly) - never lets me down!
interesting to watch, all the best in your quest for the Open
For the putter it's got to be ooooh mother and I hit Callaway X Hot 5 hybrid and Founders 3 hybrid. I love the 5 hybrid as I have problems with long irons, amongst other things
Example, would you would be willing to play the fusion and the cavity back irons and spider putter (that don’t look great) in order to get on tour?
Great choice on the hybrid. I have a gapr hi 3 which is a beast off the tee and a tour edge exs 4hybrid which is the easiest club to hit I've ever had. I always thought hybrids where hook machines before these two
