Mark I do love how you are actually honest in your reviews most on RUclips always just say they are better regardless of the results but you keep it real with us and for that we greatly appreciate you !
DARN, I was hoping for a new driver that would make my 98 mph swing speed get me 350+ yards!!!! Well I guess Callaway isnt getting MY money 🤪🤪🤪 Thanks for your HONEST non biased reviews Mark , and I like how you compare an older club to show people they are not gaining more distance with every driver release !!!!!!
its always so revolutionary with these golf manufacturers. its a bit like when callaway brought out those epic pro irons in 2017ish that spared no cost, but performed no better than anything else.
As always Mark you are the best when it comes to honesty.I wish they would just say, were not going to make something that goes further but we have something that will have better spin numbers off center. Ergo straighter. Best you could get for last years model is £350 so an upgrade to this model is going to cost you £200 to 250. So let's all be honest and say what you are getting for that. So far I'm not seeing a lot. I’ll stick to my ZX7 mk2 thanks
Great video Mark, as always with an honest review. Personally I prefer the look of the standard over the triple diamond, prefer the dull look, looks a better finish. Liked the explanation about dispersion and the emphasising on short and long hits as well, which a lot of people forget. Look forward to the comparison against other drivers.👍
Mark, I always enjoy your reviews. I giggle when I picture the folks at Callaway in a Spelling-B. "Paradigm, P, A, R, A, D, Y, M, ... Paradigm." .... "Elite, E, L, Y, T, E, ... Elite." 🤷♂
I always buy the triple diamond head & spend 15 minutes sanding the gloss finish off. If you sand that black gloss paint off the top you get the same look as the regular elyte.
I was playing with someone with a Taylormade Q10 the other day. Although when he hit it well he did go further than me. Half the time he sliced it right and I was further than him with my old titleist 910... I'm sure the marginal gains are 'big' for the pros... But he was off 2 and I'm off 13.0...😅
Since the original epics gave cracked on me I’ve played multiple variations of ping drivers all because the NSEW dispersion was better, never been too bothered about the fastest but what the drop off in poor strikes was.. from the initial reviews this maybe the first driver in a while which could give the G430 a run for its money.. great review Brah… 💥💥👍👍
Hi Mark. Just a few comments. Firstly, Happy NY. Secondly, love the product placement - Z-Star XV {my ball also). Lastly, the comment is 'shinny new things' not 'matt'. Oh and lastly lastly, which one will Coach go with. For me, I'll give them a wack but I think my Stealth 2 has got a couple more years left in it yet.
I can’t decide whether I really like the underside or am just settling. These are so much better than the clouds and other terrible, cheap graphics they have put down there in the past. They cleaned up the sound in recent years, now the graphics. I might actually consider.
I like your tests mark. But I do wish you would get numbers from your current driver with a stock shaft that u use in the callaway. An upgraded shaft that I’m sure u use in your “gamer” will be built to higher tolerance than a stock callaway shaft. What shaft do you game?
Great review as always Mark. One question/comment: the claim on these clubs is to increase club head speed, but you refer to ball speed throughout the review. I know they are related, but did you actually see any difference in club head speed? Also, on looks I would choose the triple diamond. That all said I'll be sticking with my Titleist GT2 :)
I hate that there is type on the crown near the heel. They did it with the Ai smoke too. Really bothers my eye, especially with no alignment aid on the TD.
I cant work out why the TD player doesnt need the weights at the back for a little left/right bias same thing every time with them! I think with the front weight point on the standard model now with the rear ones and nicer matt finish I would go standard and a heavier weight in the front for lower spin to get TD numbers with more forgivness in MOI and the moveable weight for more ability to dial in flights.
But why waste the money on it ? No difference from last years. Or the year prior. It will sell I get that but people need to realize has been very minimal gains on drivers in the last 10 years.
@ I haven’t bought a new driver since 2016, I’m yet to find anything I like that matches by double diamond. Plus I can’t justify spending the coin on a new driver. I might “upgrade” in a couple of years when the smoke drops in price
Is it possible that the triple diamond IS a bit of a fade machine and that it's your current draw pattern offsetting this and giving you straight ball?
@ so I actually look at the weight track as marketing only as the trade off is a less forgiving driver design. The weight port design Callaway is using here is closer to pings which was a good engineering design that allows for side to side weight movement without the moi penalty of the track. But that's my opinion.
Funny enough I find the sole to look classier than the top (a bit Tour Edge-y?), for all of them with the exception of the chunky ports. Bit strange to make one in gloss and the others not, they don't even make the carbon shine through on the triple D, do they?
I really like your reviews, because I hate all the hype I get from other channels. But in recent reviews you shifted from Data into more overview. I would love a segment of Quad data. Lets see the smash factor, club, ball. Also you use to do a max drive at the end like to balls to get 170 ball, bring that back. I know know every club is basically is the same and its all looks and feel now, but i enjoy the data.
I am working on a data presentation system to allow you to deep dive into my numbers. If it comes off you will defo hear about it in reviews later on in the year. 👍👍 The companies like it if the review hypes their product. This is why many don’t like me. Haha
@@MarkCrossfield Good player can always make the club look good. So your no bs reviews probably get less views and OEMs are less happy, but someone got to do it. I am glad you stayed on your own pass
has any company ever made two completely different finishes like that within their lineup? That's wild..I prefer the matte look also. The AI Smoke Max is great but I do prefer the new look at address. I think the TD fairway is glossy also and the others matte. Hmm. No matter what..these all look very playable..kind of remarkably bunched even before tweaking.
The 2021 Epic max/Speed line performs just as good or better, once swung at the same club-head speed as this. Go back and check the test results. People always compare current 2025 models to others, or just to last years. But you go back a few years you will find some of the drivers that are even 5 to 7 years older or like splitting hairs with these newer ones at a fraction of the cost and even further with very similar dispersion. You would need a robot to detect any difference and the average golfer certainly would not. Just just a lot of hype.
Forged Carbon is cheaper to make but weaker than woven carbon, so is it used to increase profits rather than club head improvement? I currently game the AiSmoke triple diamond, and my pal invited me to his fitting studio to test various new drivers, i tested all the Elyte drivers, they were not elite, completely underwhelmed me and my pal, as a fitter he thinks they will bomb, in sales not distance. Last years models are now £330 new which is £200 less than the Elyte series
I prefer the matt look, but not strongly so. Not really surprised about the lack of performance gains, for drivers these have been maxed out for years for those who, unlike me, can consistently deliver the club face to the ball correctly. The biggest issue for me is price. If you get fitted into a non-stock shaft then a new driver can easily cost £750+ excluding fitting costs. That is not so much Elyte as elitist, only for the very wealthy
I'd go triple diamond since I'm already having too much of a draw and too much spin... Now, they don't look that good compared to previous year(s) models, and don't improve things massively, while the price is... well... elite. So that's a hard pass for me.
No no… says 1.3mph more… so up to 4 yards more… think the R&D guys need talked to… surely the big goal wasn’t “design a new model that is a 1% improvement on the last model” 😂😂
Its probably just me, but I think.the green looks cheap. Reminds me of toxic waste. The shape looks good, but I.always liked the classic Callaway black.and red. The blue from last year wasn't bad, but that weird green isn't my thing.
Mark I do love how you are actually honest in your reviews most on RUclips always just say they are better regardless of the results but you keep it real with us and for that we greatly appreciate you !

I know the underside doesn’t matter but they look tacky, I’d also be interested to see how it compares to older models.
Great review as always
Good questions and thanks for watching
Yeah the empty ports with open threading just looks off
lol I love how every year you start off these reviews with such excitement and in the end they’re mostly let downs and you bring us back to reality 😂
Thanks Mark, most honest reviews out there… ❤
its always so revolutionary with these golf manufacturers. its a bit like when callaway brought out those epic pro irons in 2017ish that spared no cost, but performed no better than anything else.
"ELight" vs "ELeet" as an ambiguous product name seem like a marketing mistake. Great review as always Mark.
Man... you said Elyte so much I thought I was watching Miranda and Stevie talking about "The Allure"!

The Elyte is named after Ely Callaway. He's the founder of the company.

I think they look like budget drivers, you could of fooled me into thinking this was the new Callaway Edge driver.Very disappointed.
Completely agree
😂😂😂
I have always played Callaway clubs, but Callaway marketing dept is like … it is super duper epic elyte!
there so similair to the rest of the latest kit, if you told me this was a cobra with a green lick i would have believed it good review as all ways
Great review! I’ll be buying one…. In 3-4 years when they are $150.00
I think it looks a bit cheaper than the paradigm. I know it’s a personal thing but I think their 2023 paradigm was their best looking.
For me, I think the rogue ST is their best looking
@ yeah I think that’s a fair call. I did like the colour scheme on the rogue
I liked a lot the whole AI Smoke range from last year
Yep most driver sales in 2023
I agree, it does look kind of cheap. Haven't seen it in person and I think previous driver was a top performer and better ergonomics.
Elyte review here Mark - harkens back to one of your Classic reviews, the Cleveland Classic XL Custom 😂
Perfect timing for me to get the ai smoke
Indeed.

As usual this was an Elite Test Mark! 😊
I like the shape of the Trip Dia but the colour way and matt look of the standard and x
On looks the standard version looks great.
One of the carbon ones for me. Not for the finish but because they at least have some kind an alignment aid on the head.
I prefer the look of the triple diamond in the bag . But to play with, I prefer the Matt finish with no glare.
It’s Epic with bold new graphics.
Very close yes

The triple diamond looks like the old Nickent 4DX driver
The quote “Selling golf equipment is like selling hope” is often attributed to Gary Adams, the founder of TaylorMade Golf.
8:13 and 8:45. - Triple X? Mark, you've been watching other videos haven't you?
Piano black finish for me- but then I play a Titleist and like a more traditional look
Rick Shiels also found that short/long dispersion was narrower.
No increase. 👍
Was Callaway embarrassed when you informed them about misspelling the name? Hope so...
Good solid content as usual Mr Crossfield.
It’s spelt that way to honor the founder of Callaway. Ely Callaway
I have to admit, when I first saw the pictures of this driver, I thought that it was the new upgraded Callaway Edge box set driver.
I hate that there is type on the crown near the heel. They did it with the Ai smoke too. Really bothers my eye, especially with no alignment aid on the TD.
Looks like your dispersion with the triple diamond was crazy good. How come you would choose the standard over that?

Triple Diamond
What would 200-300 RPM spin give you in real world yardage?
Depends on a few factors. Benchmark maybe 2/4 yards in certain situations. Obviously depends on what spin you are moving away from to start with. 👍
Elyte may actually be called 'dupped'...Why is the USGA and R&A not stopping this 10K rollout.
It’s a epic
jeez its getting harder to sell these things - golf retailer
calling it now, Taylormade carbonwood era with 90x carbon instead of 60x, cause bigger numbers=more betterer
Are golfers still falling for the marketing hype? Drives should be over 400 yds by now aren't they and all landing on a pin head?
Hopefully that will never happen. Golf would become too boring and even tedious then!
I agree, Mark is one reviewer who gives a genuine opinion, not just quoting the marketing release.
