If I had to guess I would have picked Denmark, for our long lasting relationship with Danish players, although it makes sense for Copenhagen being a big club to be the most searched one. As far as I know we never had a Ukrainian player, definitely no Taiwanese, and the only South Korean to ever feature was striker Hyun-Jun Suk, who became kind of a cult hero for earning a contract back in 2010 by just showing up uninvited to training for days on end, asking to join, and getting humoured by then-manager Martin Jol. He never did anything remarkable in the red and white and was sold after about 6 games in 2 years, but he fell in love with Ajax and Amsterdam so much that he got the club badge and the city coat of arms tattooed on his arms. India has a football league it's called ISL(Indian Super League)and it's actually good even Roberto Carlos played there for 1 or 2 seasons and some other legends have played and coached and in this season Robby Fowler is coaching a team. But it's only been 8 years since the league started and I would suggest people to watch it.And there is a team in ISL called Kerala Blasters FC and it has the 2nd largest fanbase outside Europe after river plate and I am Kerala Blasters fan.KBFC fans are called manjappada
Yes bro so many legends played there including nesta, alano, matterazi and even del peiro, foreign players contribution gives indian players to play well, even 6 million people country italy qualified for world cup, but 130 populated india didn't qualify for a world cup it is such a shame, i like football more than cricket, because it is the sport that gives us so many entertainment, only people from kerala watches football, half of the india footballers are from india so i am pround of to be born in india

fun fact: even though Flamengo is the most searched team (and has the most fans) in Brazil, it is not the club with either more national or international titles
Can you do what is happening to atalanta since Gomez wants to leave
They're fine right now and in good situation even after the breakout. Wait for a year or 2 .
The interest in english football in Scandinavia stems back to the Tippsextra days where Brittish football was broadcasted live on TV. It is not hard to find people in Sweden who fell in love and have supported a brittish team for 5-6 decades.
11:17 actually in Hungary, we call it Labdarúgás wich roughly translates to kickball
Nobody cares mate
Greeting from Ultras Arsenal Fanatic fans from Indonesia.. Proud to be a Gonners 🇲🇨❤️
The UK should be split up in all football related maps.
Agreed
Notice in the sixth map that the countries that scored 100 or more goals at the World Cup are also the only ones who have won the tournement multiple times.
The exception to that is Uruguay, but that is partially because they happened to have won the two editions with the fewest participants (13 countries) and because of that they only played 4 games in each tournment to be champions.

If anyone is wondering, the word in the squiggly language in the southwest of India in the names for football map just says... “football”. The language is Malayaleam, BTW.

Really strange consdiering that football was really popular there before WW2. In fact the National team back then was among the strongest of the world

That Sokker with the double K is actually from the Afrikaans language. But usually we just pronounce it soccer🇿🇦
Isn't it strange that it's not similar to the word in Dutch?
@@ledkicker2392 yeah considering how much of the Afrikaans language is derived from the Dutch you'd assume that but Sokker is more of a cultural name that all of the South Africans called it and I guess its Sokker in Afrikaans based on the fact the Afrikaans don't use Cs rather they use Ks

In Spanish we also use "Balompié" which is the literal translation of football. Its use is in a bit of a decline, but some teams actually have it on their official name.
WOAH WOAH HOLD IT RIGHT THERE BUDDY LEWANDOWSKI GOT A LEG-O' DOR THAT COUNTS !!!!
Though here in Hungary we have Futball as a name for the sport, it's mostly used in certain contexts. We use a shortened version, "Foci" in the common talk, and Labdarúgás in a more formal environment, which also means "ball kicking", like in a lot of other languages.
There's this thing about maps that makes it so fun to learn. Whether it's a map of the American states, Canadian provinces or the entire world, I'd prefer looking at it than playing Fortnite.

As an Ajax-fan it's interesting to see Ajax being the most searched team in Ukraine, South Korea, and Taiwan - if my high school geography hasn't failed me.
By the way, I've knocked Alfie in the past on his pronunciation of foreign words and names, but credit where credit's due: great Dutch and (Brazilian!)-Portuguese pronunciation with voetbal and futebol!

i think you are thinking of korean where 축구 comes from 蹴球 which means "kick ball"
i think football in China is also much more popular than it seems
Table tennis is indeed popular in China, but I can tell you that the top two audience-rating matches in China are all from football, which are the 2004 Asian Cup finals and the match vs Brazil in 2002 WC

You might be glad to know, Alfie, that most innacurate map is not one of yours.
It's in fact the very last map (Countries who love HITC Sevens) and that's only because it's outdated.
Now there are officially two more countries that love the channel, but weren't shown on that map (plus some flags have changed).
